Yemi woke up shivering with cold, as his teeth chattered. He was feverish and his temperature was high. His mother who had got up early in the morning to help him prepare for school was worried when she saw Yemi’s condition. She tried to make him eat something but Yemi could not eat anything. She then decided to take him to hospital for treatment. The doctor on duty suggested that his blood be tested for malaria first. It was not long before the result of the test came out and the doctor informed Yemi’s mother that he had malaria fever. Before treatment, the doctor persuaded him to eat something. After he had taken a few bites, he was injected with anti malaria and other drugs were given to him. Yemi’s mother who was curious to know the source of the illness asked the doctor. The doctor explained to her that mosquitoes usually transmit germs that carry malaria and through their bite, they are able to transfer these germs to man. The doctor advised that stagnant water should not be allowed near the house to prevent mosquitoes from breeding in the stagnant water. She should in addition always keep her environment clean and clear the bushes around the house. The doctor however instructed her to take anyone who has malaria to the hospital for treatment.

Note: Please the answers to the comprehension should be written in simple and clear sentences.
