RE: "NEW NORMAL" = POLICE STATE

Wow. Excellent compilation of many most pertinent facts.
The starship troopers reference I will have to look into more. I have that one on my list but haven't gotten to it yet. I like Sargon's analysis on it, I'll link later.
Gonna share this great work!

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I always find your input extremely stimulating.

"Yeah, thanks a lot Paul Verhoeven, for making people think that somehow a democratic, accountable, constitutional order is comparable to fascism, thanksverymuch, I mean, what we just saw in Jared's clip selection there, was a senate with an elected leader, and soldier who'd joined a volunteer army, as in, that's how we do things RIGHT NOW. And we don't consider OURSELVES TO BE FASCIST, DO WE?"

Do you happen to oppose liberalism, Marxism, and anarchism??

Heinlein is one of my favorite authors. Starship Troopers the movie didn't do full justice to the book of course. I actually would prefer a society like that, over what I live in now. I don't consider it fascist.
I consider what we have now in the USA to be FAR more Fascist than Starship Troopers. Although the USA isn't 'Nationalist' any more, as it has become a Marxist utopia heading for Bolshevik Revolution. Like a twisted mix of Fascism with Marxism.

The 'DeafPhoenician' of 'Fascism' is quite varying depending on the source.

Heinlein in 6 minutes,

I consider what we have now in the USA to be FAR more Fascist than Starship Troopers.

Are you sure you'd say "far more"?

It sounds like the humans inadvertently "invaded" the "bug planet" (an obvious metaphor for "foreign savage land") and then the "savages" responded by sending projectiles at planet earth.

Then the "humans" pretended to be "surprised" when the "savages" aren't keen on "peace talks".

This made me laugh, as I have a real life scenario I've witnessed that is exactly this. I've spent more than half my life in Tucson, and I sold for many years at their swap meet. Their swap meet is predominantly made up of Mexicans, and I struck up a lot of bonds with many of them. Many of them I know still consider that land to be part of Mexico and believe they will one day claim it back. I've told others who are white about it, and about the far extreme of it called La Raza . They shrug and if pressed claim it's all ancient history and of no concern now. My observation on the dynamics of that are the inheritors of the spoils assume just because they are happy with the end results that with time passing so are the victims.

Just like politics. Just because you might not be interested in them, doesn't mean they aren't interested in you.

Excellent point.

My grandparents owned that land before your grandparents.

Well, my great-grandparents owned that land before your great-grandparents.

It seems to have worked out pretty well in the middle-east.

Yes, FAR more.....by Mussolini's definitions and explanations:

The Fascist State lays claim to rule in the economic field no less than in others; it makes its action felt throughout the length and breadth of the country by means of its corporate, social, and educational institutions, and all the political, economic, and spiritual forces of the nation, organised in their respective associations, circulate within the State. (p. 41).

State intervention in economic production arises only when private initiative is lacking or insufficient, or when the political interests of the State are involved. This intervention may take the form of control, assistance or direct management. (pp. 135-136)

It may be objected that this program implies a return to the guilds (corporazioni). No matter! ... I therefore hope this assembly will accept the economic claims advanced by national syndicalism (sindacalismo). (p. 24)

The Fascist conception of the State is all-embracing; outside of it no human or spiritual values can exist, much less have value. Thus understood, Fascism is totalitarian, and the Fascist State—a synthesis and a unit inclusive of all values—interprets, develops, and potentiates the whole life of a people. (p. 14)

"Marriage between Corporations and State"

ALL ARE CITIZENS WHEN BORN UNDER THEIR 'BERTH' 'Certificate'.

Starship Troopers, you had a choice. Civilian, or Citizen.

Starship Troopers, you had a choice. Civilian, or Citizen.

So, no "inalienable rights"?

No, "all men are created equal"?

No, "voting rights for all members of society"?

Also, I didn't notice any "humane treatment of POWs" in Starship Troopers...

Try to imagine Starship Troopers with all of the human characters played by terminator style robots barking in monotone or some grotesque insectoids speaking in clicks like in District 9 - - and the "bugs" played by human characters. Do you think your instincts might be inverted?

I also think part of the point of the movie is that we make a TON of assumptions about the "bugs" simply because we don't speak their language.

We assume they're some sort of "uniform hivemind", but THEY probably think the exact same thing about the humans. Why else would these human teenagers mindlessly follow orders to their certain doom if they were not part of some "uniform hivemind"? I mean, we never even see any of the "bug" civilians (and they never see any human civilians). Certainly the "bugs" must have some sort of food cultivation system, right? Homes and children? I mean, unless they're just immortal rock eaters? Did the "colonists" perhaps accidentally contaminate the "bug" planet, killing off their flora and fauna? Even if it was unintended, wouldn't that (quite reasonably) seem to cross the line of "criminal negligence" from the "bug's" perspective?

I think that I 'oppose' all isms, and don't ascribe to any.
Liberalism does not mean what it has always meant in the past. I would feel like a Liberal if it the real definition were still in effect.

Marxism I pretty much can't stand marxist ideology, but rather than 'oppose' it, I just don't give it any power, other than to occasionally poke holes.
Resistance is Assistance

Anarchism is Utopic.
Once upon a time, there was Anarchy. Then, there was not.

Resistance = Assistance

INFORMATION WAR = ATTENTION WAR

I think that I 'oppose' all isms, and don't ascribe to any.

I don't HATE OR FEAR (OR LOVE) any IDEAS.

IDEAS (words) are not the "problem" (they're a bit of a red-herring).

PEOPLE aren't even the "problem" (although any cult-of-personality is highly suspect).

THE PROBLEM IS THAT PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND THEMSELVES.

ALL PEOPLE MUST BE TAUGHT THE TRICKS OF THE CON-ARTIST.

ONLY THEN WILL THEY BE ABLE TO DISTINGUISH THEMSELVES FROM THEIR "FAVORITE THINGS".

I don't HATE OR FEAR (OR LOVE) any IDEAS.

I was referring to the labels. I do find issue with Labels. They are a form of mind control that irritates me, as the victims are none the wiser, and defend their brand.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND THEMSELVES.

Yes, however I would prefer the word 'Know' over "UNDER-Stand/Stand-UNDER".
---Know, Thyself. Key. Good? Evil? Not the point. Self-Identification is the point.

Evil will always exist when there is an opposing moral. Evil can always be 'subjective', as is 'Good'.

and yes....to me, a great Evil is the veil disallowing most from knowing theyself

I do find issue with Labels. They are a form of mind control that irritates me, as the victims are none the wiser, and defend their brand.

They can be useful guideposts as long as we let each individual explain what they think the label means.

And as long as we only label ourselves and avoid making others into cartoon characters (by labeling them).

For example, if you want to know what a communist believes, TALK TO SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY CALLS THEMSELF A COMMUNIST. A self-described "capitalist" has absolutely no business "defining" "communists" (they're not "opposites" by the way).

They might have a personal idea of what "communists" believe, but they're like a Muslim trying to describe a Hindu. They're slightly error prone.

Describe yourself, and try to let others describe themselves.

They can be useful guideposts as long as we let each individual explain what they think the label means.

This is about all I agree with.
The rest of what you describe is Utopic...out of reach. Not possible with the condition we are currently in.
"Communist" is a label indeed. A label slapped onto those that ascribe to its mission. Starship troopers for example... I liken pure communism to the arachnids. We have more distortion than the perfect hive, but if you want to see how it progresses, you can look at our examples that most fit. China is a good example. Even though not pure communism, a Hive mind in the making, or ending? Either way, Central authority rules in what I consider a grotesque way to run a human farm..
Now, those that ascribe to the communist label, do one thing VERY well, and that is Obfuscate their intentions. I find it most Dishonorable. Those on the 'far left' label camp in my neck of the woods, don't call themselves 'Communist', so no, they WILL NOT tell me the TRUTH. They use other words/labels, but their ACTIONS SPEAK louder than any of their words.
KNOW THEM BY THIER ACTIONS
DO NOT TRUST WORD AUTOMATICALLY

I value Honor much higher than TRUST.
Trust is earned, via Honor. Show me your Honor and I will show you my Trust. Meanwhile, I will be watching your ACTIONS.

Let's make a deal.

I'll stop telling you what you believe, and instead I'll ASK you what you believe.

I see. So you know they're "communists" how exactly?
