Long before the pandemic, I liked to climb mountains to get away from everyone. I enjoyed, and still do, that my surroundings were only green and blue and not the gray of the walls.

A few years ago, only a few people hiked. Today, Covid19 has made a part of society come to exercise, walk or spend a different time.
Unos años atrás, pocas eran la personas que practicaban senderismo. Hoy, el Covid19 ha hecho que una parte de la sociedad se acerque para hacer ejercicio, pasear o pasar un rato diferente.
The truth is that, whether we want to or not, we have an impact on the place where we walk. So, no matter how careful we are, we're increasingly trespassing in the wilderness.
Lo cierto es que, lo queramos o no, tenemos un impacto sobre el sitio donde pisemos. Así que, por más cuidadosos que seamos, estamos surcando cada vez más las tierras vírgenes.
Moving away from a site gives you perspective. It allows you to see another point of view. You usually find yourself with horizons and good moments to portray in this place. I never miss a photo opportunity.
Alejarte de un sitio te da perspectiva. Permite que veas otro punto de vista. Usualmente te encuentras con horizontes y momentos buenos para retratarlos. Nunca pierdo la oportunidad de tomar fotos.
My mind is divided in two. There is the sportsman and conservationist part that doesn't want anyone around and there is another part that doesn't miss the opportunity to click when the scene demands it.
Mi mente está dividida en dos. Esta la parte deportista y conservacionista que no quiere a nadie cerca y existe otra que no pierde la oportunidad de hacer click cuando la escena lo demanda.
Even though I don't like that encounter, I find it too interesting to take pictures of that struggle between the city, its people and its mountain.
A pesar que no me gusta ese encuentro, me resulta demasiado interesante tomar fotos de esa lucha entre la ciudad, su gente y su montaña.
These photos reflect just that. It's me and a friend, walking and leaving footprints along the way. In the distance you can see the houses devouring more and more of the mountain and suddenly, another enthusiast also appears, upping the ante to travel a road that before was only dirty because of the rubber of shoes and not because of the rubber of the tires.
Estas fotos reflejan justamente eso. Estoy yo y una amiga, caminando y dejando huellas por el camino. A lo lejos se ven las casa devorándose cada vez más la montaña y de pronto, también aparece otro entuciasta que sube la apuesta para transitar un camino que antes solo estaba sucio por la goma de los zapatos y no par la de los cauchos.
