Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 152

in Amazing Naturelast year (edited)

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to the 152nd round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)

I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.

The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.

The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)

Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.

I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:

Only one entry (photo) per person per round.

The photo must be yours and not older than one week.

Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.

You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.

Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.

I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)

To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:

As I mentioned in my yesterday´s post, I haven´t been feeling well lately and I guess I should stay in the bed until I fully recover but I did go for a little walk today to capture some fresh natural picture for this challenge. It was freezing and snowing last night but it has been mostly sunny today so I clicked a few close ups of the ice crystals glittering in the low winter sun rays and this one with the little mossy greenery probably turned out to be the best of them. I took the picture in a forest here in Prague, Czech Republic just a few hours ago.

In the last round, we had just 3 participants so picking the winners was easy:

Greetings from the beautiful country of Philippines. It has been also rainy here lately in my province of Negros Oriental and I already felt so sick being trapped indoor. Luckily the sun came up this week so I grabbed the trekking pole and water bottle and off I went to the lake. I hiked around the area and it felt so good just being one with it. The forest around is so dense and in cooler temp perfect for meditation.

@littlebee4 with this entry from Scotland:

In our accommodation (Cairngorms National Park) in Scotland, we have a little cottage right next to a forest. And this morning 2 red squirrels came to play in a part of it’s garden. So cute :) I did feed them some nuts. We are here 2 more nights, maybe they come back tomorrow :) This is a photo taken through the window unfortunately.

Hi @phortun. We have had many sunny days recently in this winter, which is strange and could cause drought in summer. Here is the another flower's photo from my garden, taken this week. Location: Istanbul, Turkey.

Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)

I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!

I post this series in the Amazing Nature community, a great community for all nature lovers. Feel free to check it out ;)

It´s been a while since I have participated in your photo challenge but the place I´ve found yesterday is definitely worth to share with all of you. It´s on the beautiful Algarve in Portugal. Yesterday was perfect weather with no wind and very clam, crystal clear water.

IMG_2766.jpg

Hey buddy, good to see you here again :) That´s an amazing entry! I can imagine how rare these windless days are there right now hehe :)

Thank you! In the south its not that windy and next week is going to be awesome, nothing but sunshine but only 15 degree. The downside...no waves :(

I see :) I forgot that you, an avid surfer, actually need the wind :D

This photo is my participation... "Remains of the old forest"... It is a photograph taken last Tuesday (17/01/2023) when I decided to walk to the outskirts of town, where areas with very old trees are preserved and whose wide crowns with long branches and particularly fine foliage, provide an enchanting sight to photograph (commonly called "Samán" in our town, these trees can reach 20 meters in height).

I took a lot of photos that day, but almost all of them were from below the forest... I even shared a post yesterday with those photos from that low angle... But this photo was the only one i took with a panoramic view of the forest , so I had left it out of my post for differing on that... But now it has found a place here in this nice challenge!!!... 😊📷 Thank you very much!...

Beautiful entry, thank you very much :) Perfect spot for some fine "forest bathing" :)

Hi @phortun

I look forward to your full recovery from your illness.

Here is my contribution to the contest.

Every Sunday my partner and I go for a short outing in the interior of the island where we live, Ibiza. It rains very little here so when it does, we are almost cheerful, so last weekend, despite it being rainy, we decided to go out into the countryside as usual.

We went to an area in the north of the island that was once used for agriculture and today is almost wild due to the abandonment of agricultural activity by the farmers. Maybe it was the greyness of the day, but I focused on photographing the old dried carob trees, which take on very organic and sometimes disturbing shapes. As an example, the photo I am submitting to this week's contest.

Hey man, good to see you here again :) Thanks for taking us to your lovely island again and sharing this interesting natural scenery with us. Greetings from Prague!

You're very welcome!

Thanks to you also for letting us show our work.

Thanks @phortun for this privilege that we can share our outdoor experiences. I'm always itching for adventure especially this week even though it has been drizzling but not so bad to stop me from going. Weekend has become my usual days to be out in the nature. It's already my 3rd time hiked in Puhagan Valencia. I hope you also enjoy this photo I took. I just can't get enough watching at its beauty.

Puhagan Valencia, Philippines

Thank you very much for another stunning entry from your beautiful country! Lovely scenery :)

Astonishing views today! This photo was taken from the highest floor of the lookout tower which you can find on the mountain Velký Javorník (918m), Czechia. Winter is not over yet😃

IMG_20230122_123018.jpg

Astonishing indeed. Let´s assume that the nature is represented by the impressive ice formations in this picture :)

That's right, mate😁 You don't want to have just milk in the photo😆

This is my entry for this week :)

This photo was taken 3 days ago when I was doing my afternoon ride in the mountain side of our town of Sibonga, Cebu, Philippines. I went to the baranggay of Mangyan when I saw this very beautiful overlooking piece of beauty. It was my first time going to baranggay Mangyan and I was stunned by the beautiful nature the baranggay has to offer. It was probably one of the toughest bike climb I had ever experienced in my 2 months of biking but it was all worth it thanks to the beautiful view I saw when I had reached the top. Although it wasn't the tallest mountain in our town, I heard there was a better place with a much better view but that's for another trip 😁

The picture above is my entry for this week, it is an overlooking view of the sea in between the coconut trees. I composed it this way so that the coconut trees will act like a border to the frame and will lead your eyes to the overlooking sea view

Here are some other supporting pictures that I took during that almost 3 hour trip 😇

I tried to zoom in on the corn field in the middle of the photo above

Whenever I can I always bring my camera (Panasonic Lumix FZ80) with me during my bike trips and take photos of beautiful nature and people that I see 😊

Thank you very much for these great shots and for specifying which one is the official entry :) Another amazing place from the Philippines, a country that has been getting a lot of attention in this challenge lately :)

I took this picture today when I was out for a walk and natural views are very dear to the human heart. The park name is "dollat gate park multan"

Beautiful. Marigolds are such pretty flowers. Can you just add the location please? Thank you :)

Just a view from the hill close to Heřmanice u Oder. Last weekend, together with my friends I visited friend living nearby. Picture is only partly nature, since there is a shell query, but the view is quite acenic anyway.

Definitely enough nature to qualify ;) Thanks!

My entry:
Photo taken with my iPhone this morning. We had bad weather for some days now… and this morning suddenly the heavy clouds broke open and the sky showed the sun… and some blue skies. Just briefly… I was in the right spot at the right time. This photo is taken through the window 🪟
The dark clouds on the left are still hiding high mountains with snowy tops 🏔️🏔️🏔️
Views like this just take my breath away. Stunning, I love them. Hope you like this view too @phortun
Have a great week further… and I hope more will enter 😉🤞🏻

Thank you very much for stopping by here with another beautiful entry Little Bee! :) Hopefully you will get more sunshine over there.

You are so welcome @phortun 👋🏻😊
That will come soon ☀️😉 hope to have better internet soon. So behind… I want to post some updates. But it’s a struggle to upload photos.
All good. The scenery is worth it.
Happy weekend ☀️😎

No problem, take it easy :) Happy weekend to you too!

Thanks @phortun I will take it easy, luckily I am patient hehehe 🤭
The weekend was great, hope yours too.
Happy new week to you, enjoy it 👋🏻😊

Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 152

Good day @phortun ☀️

IMG_20230121_142911_edit_936700358856027.jpg

A walk through the Deliblat Sandstone always makes me happy... I was walking along the road through the forest, and I was surprised at how many mushrooms I met.... These were interesting to me, arranged like that around a tree.... And besides the mushrooms, I also saw some snow that managed to stay in the forest. I went for a walk on Saturday... Hoping that it might snow 🤗❄️

Have a nice day 🤗🌸

Hey Suzana, thank for your participation again, very nice picture :)

My pleasure @phortun 🌸🤗

All right…
Let me check my photos…
Haven’t used my phone very much in the past months as I mentioned…

Location Hotnishki Waterfall photos taken on 1 of November 2022

Just can’t share only 1 of them…
It was so beautiful during that time…
The bee 🐝 nest we noticed there as well….

And the waters covered by leaves 🍁

Namaste 🙏

@tipu curate

Hey buddy! Good to see you here again a while :) Unfortunately, I cannot see any of the photos, seems that they didn´t upload. But you wrote that they were taken in November, do you have anything that is not older than 7 days? It´s important to share fresh pictures in this challenge, it´s one of the main goals, to make people go out and appreciate the beauty of nature regularly, at least once a week :) Btw thanks for the TipU vote!

IMG_20220101_165507.jpg

This is my visit to Fort Munro, which is located in a Punjab province of Pakistan. We planned this trip before my marriage. It was a fun trip.

Hey, welcome to the challenge. Thanks for this interesting entry. How old is this photo?

Almost one year old. 1 year 18 days old to be more precise.

I´m sorry but the entries here cannot be older than 7 days, it´s mentioned in the rules. I hope you will find a fresher picture :)

Okay NO problem :) Will try to participate in the next competition.
