¿Qué es una serie? En diseño una serie es una pequeña seguidilla de objetos que comparten características en común, pero varían la cantidad de elementos que presentan, la serie que les voy a presentar a continuación tiene una variación de color, podría haber tenido un extra que sería una variación morfológica de los elementos, pero para provechar el material decidí no hacerlo.

Mi serie de almohadones está pensada con la finalidad de ser un objeto de decoración, y los pensé también con la finalidad de que formen parte de elementos que favorecen al medio ambiente, tanto la tapa trasera como la delantera son telas reutilizadas de proyectos viejos.
My series of cushions is designed with the aim of being a decorative object, and I also thought them with the aim of being part of elements that favor the environment, both the back and the front cover are reused fabrics from old projects.
Estas telas son recortes, la tela violeta es del buzo que hice hace unos meses, la celeste es de un pantalón y la tela negra es un sobrante muy antiguo, compré esa tela en el 2017 para hacer una falda, que se convirtió en top que actualmente está en propiedad de una amiga, creo que es muy necesario tomar conciencia de las cosas que llamamos basura.
These fabrics are cuts, the purple fabric is from the jumpsuit that I made a few months ago, the blue one is from a pants and the black fabric is a very old leftover, I bought that fabric in 2017 to make a skirt, which became a top that It is currently owned by a friend, I think it is very necessary to become aware of the things we call garbage.

Lo que aplique en esta serie fue el patchwork, fui cortando recortes rectangulares que completaran la totalidad que quería que tuviera al final.

Cortar cada parte no fue difícil, quizás me costó más definir la cantidad de color que debería tener cada porción para que la serie sea equilibrada, y como aprendí en clase este año hay que darlo todo en una serie de tan pocos elementos, ya que de otra forma el paso entre las series no se va a notar.

Mi serie está compuesta por más acento en violeta, más acento en celeste y por último un equilibrio de celeste y violeta con un toque de negro. Para coser esto lo más simple es tomarlo en franjas horizontales, primero armamos filas y luego las filas arman el total del rectángulo.

Una vez cosido el delantero pasamos a coser el trasero que es también muy simple, en esta parte se superponen unos cuantos cm la tela que tiene detrás, esta va a permitir que el relleno no se salga, pero por más seguridad coloque un trozo de velcro en cada almohadón.

Al ensamblar las partes traseras y delanteras noté que no todos eran tan perfectos como la idea inicial, pero eso no fue un impedimento para seguir, mantuve la idea que no son solo almohadones, sino que forman parte de una serie reciclada.

Para el relleno vacié un viejo almohadón en desuso y utilicé trozos de estas mismas telas que ya no podían tener una utilidad en costura, esta es una buena forma de reciclar viejas prendas o esos trozos de tela que ya no podemos usar.
For the filling, I emptied an old disused cushion and used pieces of these same fabrics that could no longer be used in sewing, this is a good way to recycle old garments or those pieces of fabric that we can no longer use.
Una vez que todo estuvo listo los rellené y cerré el velcro, ahora están listos para irse a su nuevo hogar, estos almohadones son un regalo para mi sobrino pequeño, que me pidio hace un tiempo que le haga unos almohadones, pero me costó mucho poder hacerlos ya que no tengo tanto tiempo disponible, y soy fiel creyente de que cuando la energía esta puesta en otro lado (en mi caso está muy puesta en mi curso) hay que esperar a que fluya al lugar correcto de la creatividad.
Once everything was ready I filled them in and closed the velcro, now they are ready to go to their new home, these pillows are a gift for my little nephew, who asked me some time ago to make him some pillows, but it cost me a lot of power do them since I don't have so much time available, and I am a faithful believer that when the energy is put elsewhere (in my case it is very much in my course) you have to wait for it to flow to the right place of creativity.

He visto dibujos en cuadros en serie y me parece originales, son como continuaciones de una misma idea. Feliz inicio de año y ¡Que sigan las buenas vibras!.
Muchas gracias y feliz año, si el usar un patron creado en base a cuadros de diferentes tamaños me permitio utilizar muchos de mis retazos. exacto la idea de la serie es esa, hablar de un mismo universo alternando elementos del mismo, es un buen inicio para armar pequeñas colecciones.
