Getting close to 250 SPS and a card collection of nearly $870 USD, and I am receiving interest on my HBD savings (2021.10.30)

in Splinterlands3 years ago

I have four good news today. The first is that I am getting close to 250 SPS, and I still stake it all of my SPS.

I currently have 242.573 SPS, which is currently worth $130.52 USD.

img_0.35213898910686314.jpg

The second good news is that my total Splinterlands card collection is currently worth $866.13 USD.

img_0.9114000926587376.jpg

The third good news is that yesterday I transferred $78 HBD into savings, and 18 hours ago I already received an interest of $0.01 HBD. I transferred another $2 HBD into savings after that, so I currently have $80.01 HBD in savings.

And the fourth good news is the fact that if I would sell all of these things, then I would get something around $1074.09 USD, because $1 HBD is currently worth $0.9679 USD, and theoretically I could buy a sailboat with that amount (I heard about people buying sailboats for around $1000 USD, and even for less, even nowadays).

Of course I am not going to sell any of these nowadays. I believe in the platform. I hold these things for long term, and I also wait for the right time to buy a sailboat, as @dswigle suggested in this comment.

My current plan is to buy a small sailboat with a cabin to live on the boat to get out of the financial discrimination I currently live in, because I will not have to pay rent and regular, monthly bills, which are currently very high.

Sailing boat sounds like a nice plan.

I am also more and more certain about this after watching more and more YouTube videos, and reading more and more comments about it. Hopefully I will be able to buy a sailboat in 1-2 years, maybe earlier.

Thank you for the support.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings from Hungary.

Cool, its good to see growth :D

It also feels good. Both to receive and to give support.

Splinterlands is full of positive things. The whole game is positive. Fun, enjoyable and entertaining. I am also very excited about the season end rewards. The season ends in 8 hours, and I am currently in the evening, so I will see them tomorrow (12 reward chests).

Thank you so much for the support.

OH YAY!! I've been to Hungary, and it's GORGEOUS! I would love to go again!! I'm in Kansas, United States myself. Thank you so much for your wonderful reply! Yes, Splinterlands is VERY positive!

Your numbers are climbing! Good for you! I like seeing the progress of someone working really hard to achieve success! It feels good to look back and see how far you have come.

I am glad to see that you have discovered a few sailors that sail. :) It will be fun to tag along virtually on their journey, and the things you will learn will be awesome, some will probably be surprising. Take note of how big their boat is and how well/not well that space seems to work. Sometimes bigger is not better, but, too small is worse.

I don't do that much with my tokens, but, I need to figure out what I can do with them.

Thanks for the mention! I hope you are having an amazing day!

I do what/everything I can. Of course this mainly depending on the community support, which is very good, and I am very grateful and very happy for that. Hopefully I will be able to buy a sailboat in 1-2 years, or maybe even less.

I am glad to see that you have discovered a few sailors that sail. :)

Their videos and texts are giving me a huge motivation/inspiration.

Take note of how big their boat is and how well/not well that space seems to work. Sometimes bigger is not better, but, too small is worse.

I heard that the smaller the boat is, the better. Of course too small is not good. I am currently thinking about something between 10-20 ft with a cabin.

That is pretty small and not considered a liveaboard size. As long as you are taking your time right now, consider that you will also want to be comfortable. Ten feet is impractical, I think.

Although too big has another problem. Yearly maintenance should be figured at about 10% of the value of the boat. Also, larger boats need more gas, and you should always try to keep your gas as full as possible so it doesn't slosh around on the water. This can stir up particulates in the fuel tank and clog your fuel filter.

So yes, big/small - they all have their advantages/disadvantages

Also, make sure that you won't need to pay dock fees or if there are places to just put your boat in. Dock fees can be pretty high. Just a few more things to look into. But, now that you are hooked up with people that sail, I won't worry so much about it. :)

Ten feet is impractical, I think.

Probably not as much impractical as much my current rent financially. Not to mention the cold winter climate of my country (Hungary).

But of course I would look for a boat more close to 20 feet than 10 feet. I also read that a liveaboard is at least 30 feet. That is also okay, but a boat like that probably cost much more than $1000 USD.

Also, make sure that you won't need to pay dock fees or if there are places to just put your boat in.

Yes. Doing that for free would be the best.

Dock fees can be pretty high. Just a few more things to look into.

Yes. I heard someone from the USA, who pay $150 USD per month for that. This amount is actually very cheap for him, but for me it is nearly my current monthly rent.

I give you some !PIZZA and some !LUV.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.

@dswigle, you've been given LUV from @xplosive.

Check the LUV in your H-E wallet. (1/1)

these are some nice numbers! I think you're getting about 2 vouchers for that until the pre-sale ends? thats nice! :) vouchers are a rarity for the common player.

We will see. I have not received any vouchers so far. I am also excited about the current season end rewards. The current season will end in 15 hours, and I will receive 12 reward chests, because I successfully reached the Silver III League, thanks to a nice card delegation from @alexvan, for which I am very grateful and very happy. Thank you again.

There are many awesome things to get excited. And the season end rewards are usually valuable, so maybe there will be some good cards in the season end rewards. Hopefully I will soon have a strong enough card collection to go into the Silver League without the need of a delegation.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.

By the way, the various tokens on the Hive Engine will also contribute a nice amount towards my goal. I see that I currently have 43.08305631 ONEUP (1UP), which is currently worth $1.75 USD.

Thank you again.

But... how and where is your boat going to float in winter?

After I will buy a sailboat, I am going to plan to go near warmer places. Places with mediterranean or oceanic climate. For example Spain, Canary Islands, Malta, Cyprus. This is another beautiful aspect of living on a sailboat. Someone, who lives on a sailboat do not even have to use heater in the winter to keep his/her home warm.

Thank you. I will check out some of his videos. Guys like Sven have a lot of experience about sailing, and taking a quick glance at his videos, I can probably learn a lot from him.

By the way, I already started following various sailor people on YouTube, mainly to see their adventures.

For example Beard Bátor is Hungarian guy, who received a sailboat as a gift in 2016, and in 2018 he sailed from Norway to Mexico, through the Atlantic Ocean. At first (from 2014) he hitchhiked and backpacked, and supported himself by playing music on the streets. Beautiful, very inspiring story. He is the first and currently the only person I know, who received a sailboat as a gift.

This dude has been sailing the whole world in his tiny self-built boats.
The smaller the safer.

Congratulations. You are starting the process of building on Hive.

Keep the compounding going. Remain active, consistent, and keep as much as you can at work and things will grow.

Compound interest is very powerful. To put it to work requires getting some stake first. It is evident you are doing that.

Keep it going.

Yes. I started to stake various tokens. I even delegate some, for example #spt for passive income. I am very grateful and I am very happy for the supportive community. And I am also trying to be a part of it. Supporting and helping others feels good.

Thank you so much for the support.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.

Keep it up and it will keep growing.

Compounding is a power mechanism. You are here each day so you have the consistency down. Each 6 month interval you will see you holdings bigger than they were before.

That is how it works.

By the way, where do you find the value of your @spliterlands cards. I see where the individual value can be viewed but where is the total?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

On the "sm-voters_hut" channel on the Splinterlands Discord server.
By sending "$stats username" (without the quotes), you can see the total amount and the value of anyone's Splinterlands card collection.

Now I checked yours, but the sm-voter bot says that "taskmaster4450le owns no cards or is not a Splinterlands player".

You probably play it with another account.

Yes my taskmaster4450 account.

Your total Splinterlands card collection is currently worth $130.37 USD.

Thanks for pulling that.
