Game of the Year: Psychonauts 2
I haven't even played it yet, but I'm putting my vote behind it, I played Metroid Dread and while it was a lot of fun, I'm not sure it was "the absolute best experience across all creative and technical fields"
Again Metroid was fantastic, but Psychonauts I think really goes a lot further creatively, I'll be playing it on stream soon so we'll see how my vote here holds up heh 🐸😄
Best Game Direction: Deathloop
I watched my fren play Deathloop for a bit, I originally wasn't too interested in the idea but it has grown on me, I'm a sucker for rogue-like/light type games and this one seem to have a lot to discover in the limited 3 day span
Best Narrative: Psychonauts 2
Again haven't played it yet, but I'm pretty firm on this
I'm sure Life is Strange or It Takes Two might really win this one though, haven't played those either, but they seem to have made a bit of a splash this year
so we'll see
Best Art Direction: Psychonauts 2
You may be noticing a trend here, but worry not I assure you this is all a part of process
No idea who'll take this category, none of the games have graced my screen yet, they all look great, maybe Artful Escape will win since it says art in it

I have heard the music for this probably in a trailer or something, I think it was one of those typical sweeping, epic anime orchestral arrangements, I'm voting for it because none of the others stick out in my head as much
Best Audio Design: Halo Infinite
dang its not here uh, hmm.. i played the demo for RVIII but i dont remember the sound...
I'm gonna try Forza soon so maybe I'll vote for that

Games for Impact: Before your Eyes
didn't play it but I like the blinking mechanic where the in game scene changes when you blink
it looked like there are some themes about being present with the moment and stuff
Best Ongoing: Apex Legends
haven't played it in a while honestly but it's the only one that I like playing from this category, I know a lot of folx enjoy FFxiv tho
Best Indie: Loop Hero
Tough category but I think this gameplay is the most "outstanding" given the chance to play it I would
Best Mobile Game: Pokemon Unite
It's the only mobile game I've played on this list
Best Community Support: No Man's Sky
I haven't logged in for some of the more recent update but I absolutely love this game even if it is a bit overwhelming, the rise to glory from launch is pretty legendary.
Innovation in Accessibility: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart

Best VR / AR: Hitman 3
I'm just picking randomly at this point
Best Action Game: Returnal
From what I've seen Returnal has got plenty of action! Who has a PS5 though amirite?
Best Action / Adventure: Metroid Dread
I'ma give Psychonauts a break here and put Metroid Dread cuz it's certainly worth voting for at least once

didn't play it, and haven't been into RPGs as of late I'm just voting for my own survival

I was watching some videos the other day where people take commercial airliners and literally do the entire flight from NYC to Tokyo just like an actual airline pilot would. It was something crazy like 18 hours of almost nothing happening.
