Hello gamers! It's been almost a whole week since the last contest so it's time to get going with another one. We were very impressed with the creativity in the last one. This week we'll be taking a step away from the creativity and instead focus on our own experiences within the world of video games.

Writing prompt #2
Prompt: What is YOUR greatest video game achievement(s)?
Word limit: 1200 words.
This will be a good one! We have a lot of great gamers in this community who without a doubt has some huge achievements under their belt. These can be both big and small but what matters is that it's YOUR greatest achievement. This can be everything from simply completing a game you love, from holding a world record in speedrunning or winning a gaming tournament online or at a LAN party.
To give everyone a level playing field we're putting a limit on the number of words your post can be this week. This adds an extra layer to the challenge seeing as you will need to choose your words wisely. Those who publish their posts in several languages will of course be allowed to do so. If the translation adds or takes away a few words that's fine as long as the original text in its original language doesn't exede 1200 words.
It is possible to highlight several of your greatest achievements. It's up to you to choose how many but remember the word count!
What's in it for you?
Will there be rewards? Yes, and no. As with every post in the community entries will be eligible for curation. Curation is in no way guaranteed just by entering. Posts will still have to be of quality and be made with an effort. All entries must be your own original content. As always, engagement both inside and outside of the community will also be considered. Any attempts to partake just for curation rewards are easily recognizable and will be ignored.
In addition, all the rewards (100%) of this post will be used in the prize pool which means the winners will receive:
1st Place: 35% of the rewards of this post + 5 HIVE
2nd Place: 25% of the rewards of this post + 3 HIVE
3rd Place: 20% of the rewards of this post + 2 HIVE
4th Place: 10% of the rewards of this post
5th Place: 10% of the rewards of this post

Write a post in the Hive Gaming Community where you tell us about your greatest video game achievement(s).
Create an unique title for your post! Do NOT include the word "contest" or anything linking it to this initiative in the title.
Tag your post with #MyGamingAchievements
Make sure your post doesn't exede 1200 words (explanation above).
Leave a link to your post in the comments to this post.
All of the above must be fulfilled for your post to be considered for curation and entry.
Extra notes!
- Only one submission per user. Extra submissions will be ignored for both curation and entry. We will always consider your first submission as part of the contest.
- Plagiarism will not be tolerated in any way or form. If you're not able to create your own work I would advise you not to enter. All entries will be checked and anyone found plagiarizing or stealing content from any source will be disqualified and muted/blacklisted from the community. It's simply not worth it.
Entry will be closed when this post pays out, one week from now. You can still choose to make your post after this happens but that means you won't be considered for the prizes. Might still get curated though!

Yes! One of the most interesting gaming-related contests I've come across, tbh. Really caught my attention.
And the word limit helps tighten up people's writing, as well as making curators/reviewers jobs a bit easier, seems like a double-win.

Short posts are good when they get the point across and yours certainly did. No need to add extra jumbo jumbo just to make it look meatier.

I was just preparing a personal post on a similar topic haha, but it was a much longer testament. I think I will accommodate it to use it in this initiative that seems to me something great, I think that personal achievements in video games are an experience capable of touching the heart deeply; like a great movie or a beautiful painting. Wasted 30 years of my life (75%). 😉😆 I don't collect achievements.
We're not after individual achievements that Steam or Xbox give you, unless that's what you want to highlight. This is about whatever you see as your greatest achievement in gaming. You yourself define what that is. The one entry we've has so far considered making a mod for a game that reached 20k+ people his greatest achievement. It can be anything.

I'd say one of mine is putting in the time to finish each entry in the dark souls series. I would get so tilted on some parts that I would put the game down for months at a time before returning haha. Great games to put the effort into though, I don't think I would have enjoyed the albeit brutal story otherwise
