SELL !...SELL!... SELL !...This is not financial advice, it's a strategic overview...

in Proof of Brain2 years ago

What do you think is gonna happen in the next 3-6 months?
Do you feel the ponzi coming to an end ? (I'm talking about the fed).

grey - Copy.jpg

If you're not aware, they are already mumbling about tapering off the insanity called QE....(or whatever term - same shit, different names).

If it happens, that will bring the whole house of cards coming down, rapid style.
If it doesn't happen, the house of cards will still collapse, but it might a take while longer - or it still might happen within that time frame.

Where does that leave you with your crypto holdings ?

Do you think BTC is the new monetary system?

Do you think the monopoly of power will just hold their hands up and say 'we lost'?

Do you even entertain the possibility of crypto's being a central bank experiment - the dry run for CBDC's?

Where does that leave Hive?

Going to the moon, or the basement ?

When bank loans get called in, when the small print on your mortgage gets used to seize assets, and when shorts need to be filled in the stock market....where do you think that liquidity is coming from?

Crytpo.

If crypto is acting as being 'the sponge'- soaking up the trillions of dollars that've been injected into an economy, (and one way to keep gold prices suppressed), when the shit hits the fan, the sponge will be squeezed dry...

This is a great opportunity.

For those looking long, and not just 'hodling' (god, I hate that term - it's so embarrassingly juvenile - which may sum up the current crytpo verse mentality ).

Crypto is here to stay, in one form or another.

You can't pretend the tech doesn't exist.
It won't be used in the current form, I don't believe...
(and definitively not DPoS - as is stands).

That's the overview...

Lets get strategic....

If I'm correct in my perspectives, all crypto prices will 'go south ' - dramatically.
Some may never survive.

It's funny, because you see 'the crytpo cult members' on Hive, talking about 'floors' of hive, (and btc) ...it is $1, is it 80 cents ?, (is it 25 k..?)

The floor price on any non commodity item - is 0.
That never changes.
The rest is hopium.

And Math just doesn't acknowledge the existence of hopium.

Only people with everything to lose (if that floor doesn't exist somehow) look for a non existent floor, and then try to convince others that it's real...

'Skin in the game' - A great way to ensure the propaganda and lies are never ending (some call it marketing).

'No skin in the game' - a great way to see things coldly, clinically - and objectively.
Hopium distorts reality.

grey - Copy.jpg

Hive takes a loooong time to power down HP.

(and effectively holding your own wealth hostage, in the process).
*Is this for 'the greater good', or just for the good of large stakeholders ?
It doesn't matter right now - it is what it is.

But imagine if you see all crypo's tanking over this next month or four, and you have no access to you own tokens ?

If you can see it happening before your eyes - then it's already too late to do anything.

This isn't a 'doom and gloom' post.

It's pragmatic assessment of economic cycles, historical precedence's, and the patterns and trends of excess money allocations , before crashes .

Act (or hold) accordingly.

Don't say I didn't warn you...
Retail investors have always been the historical 'bag holders'.
(people left with worthless assets)

Do you think you're not a retail investor?...
Seriously?

Do you think we're not at the stage of 'the shoeshine boy on wall street, giving market tips' , of the 1920's?
*Look at the reward payouts for some of the so called 'economic wisdom' of some Hive accounts, and tell me it's not the case...(Mis-allocations of revenue in an economy, is a sure sign of impending collapses, btw...just sayin'...).
...and not even any shiny shoes !

If you can't see it of course - maybe it's time to educate yourself by methods other than hopium laden posts on hive, that reinforce your world view, not challenge it.

Learn to discern what economic lliteracy is and what postmodern, MMT garbage is.... The gap is huuuuuge...
....or maybe.... you're just, like, really really clever and I'm as dumb as a bag of leftoids....

Time will tell...

If my predictions come true, I feel sorry for all those small accounts who've swallowed the hype.

I'll also pile on - big time - to all the hopium dealers accounts.... you know , those that have been peddling the hopium, and getting people hooked...
The mockery and ridicule that you'll be receiving, will be monumental.
...and it will most definitely be 'for the greater good' - so you can't argue with that!

Sort:

What I do not understand about all this diatribe is ... what are you doing still writing in HIVE (or the communities) or having something to do with cryptocurrencies if you see such a bad future? It seems to me that your hatred for some people in HIVE is eating you up.

Also I feel very sorry for you. As I understood it, you lived on what you earned with cryptocurrencies on HIVE (or so you said at the time the downvote war against you started). I imagine that in 1-4 months you will have nothing to live with according to your logic of thought. I hope your "prediction" is very wrong, not only for everyone else but also for you.

I personally have been in the world of cryptocurrencies for, almost, more than 10 years. I have heard what you write here thousands of times and what happened?

Well nothing, here we are still.

You're very far off the mark with your assessment, matey!

Since I was pushed off earning hive, I'm nearly 'more profitable'(web2.0) without any crypto ...(I still use crypto though).

....Again, what you 'imagine' is far from reality. I don't let small minded , weak ego'd morons stop me from doing what I do....( you do realize we are 90% self sufficient now ?..your pity is misplaced).
My post wasn't about 'hoping' anything.

10 years is nothing.
I mean, really nothing...if using hundreds of years of history/cycles/perspectives, as a comparison. 200 bc is a good starting point.

10 year in a system already on it's knees from 80 years of manipulation, is hardly a sound foundation on which to begin any sound reasoning - _all money in crypto right now, is from the fiat dollar (or whatever currency)...Price is an irrelevance.

You're very far off the mark with your assessment, matey!

I really hope so 😅

Good to hear 🙂

10 years is nothing.

Well crypto has been here for no more than 12 so for the crypto world 10 years is a long time. I said it more from the experience of reading and hearing thousands of times that crypto was dead. I understand some of your approaches and perhaps I share some of them but what I do not share in general of everything you have written is the way you say it ... so defeatist.

According to you there is no future no matter what is done.

10 year in a system already on it's knees from 80 years of manipulation, is hardly a sound foundation on which to begin any sound reasoning -

The idea is to change those 80, almost 100 years. Of course 10 years is nothing but ... in those 10 years I have seen the development and honestly it has been positive, not only because of the adoption but because it has made many people realize the manipulation. Something very important!

all money in crypto right now, is from the fiat dollar (or whatever currency)...Price is an irrelevance.

I am convinced that the price is irrelevant. I remember when people gave you BTC for free, when you could buy 100 BTC for 20 euros and so on. How much is it now? More than 42,000 euros. It was definitely not relevant at the time and it is not relevant now either with regard to fiat money.

A pessimist see's reality /pragmatism as defeatist.(reality leading to a negative outcome).

I'm an optimist.(reality leading to positive outcome).

The difference is accepting the shit, knowing full well that shit is an essential ingredient to healthy growth.

Always brightens my day to read your uplifting posts.

Well where to start, I think we all heard the CIA built Bitcoin story. Especially with the transparency of BTC and most cryptos, it is hard to argue that the (deep) state is really against Bitcoin if not maybe even the inventor. Look how they all rejoiced when big banks/investors/companies allocated some of their portfolio into "finally the rich elite is accepting us".... pitiful.

On the other hand I generally like crypto, especially since I never had to put a dime of my real money into it. All earned via hive/Steem and schmartly invested :^). I see crypto as a sort of gamble, where you can lose it all like you said, but so far it has been a pretty good bet. I know, I know recency bias...

About hive in particular, it is a little disingenuous to have a 50$ Payout on your post to only then get 50% of it and then get 50% in power that is staked. Leaving you with a 12$ actual payout. However I though it is fine to only cash in 50% of my payouts and leave the rest staked, in other crypto communities you can easily become the target just for making any sell move. Even you would have to agree that hive offers a whole lot more to a non-technical user than 99% of the other cryptos out there in ways to earn and participate.

Also there is this new thing called Solana, it can finally outscale Visa in transaction volume, maybe the "replace the dollar" dream is not dead yet.

lol - what is it with the need to avoid ever seeing things with rose tinted glasses, in this place? (see 'hopium').

Crypto is a fantastic tool - how we choose to use it is another story.

IF btc is a 'central authority invention', then I would say we are - i.e 99% area - that we're on the way to being cleaned out.
The final transfer of wealth before collapse.

When debts get called, liquidity is gonna flow out of the crypto market faster than a....Erm...really fast thing! lol

(don't upvote this matey- they only use it to downvote me and thus erode my rep... cheers)

Don't worry, I would like to keep you around as an devil's advocate and show that, if my vote gets sent to null along the way, I don't mind too much.

I don't see the giant collapse coming, I think QE is a good tool to soften a crisis in my unpopular opinion at least, but it is not unlimited and we might have another march 2020 but over a longer period and with more long lasting damage, sure.

But where can you escape the crisis to? Gold and Silver are also relying on a halfway working and safe society. Buy a house the state can seize? Crypto is the best bet if you think a mild/top down reset comes, NWO is likely to be much more technological.

I think QE is a good tool to soften a crisis

If only you'd stopped at "I think.." ...lol

But where can you escape the crisis to?

Depends on your stack size. If you ain't in the top 1%, not many places.
This storm is gonna be a biggie - and I can't wait, tbh.
If you ain't got a lot, and are deep in reality - not a lot will change.(reality = can sustain yourself without help).
The floor price on non commodities (crypto) - is 0.

If you think that 'the predators that be' (central bankers) want anything less than IT ALL - I have some beachfront property in Wyoming to sell you.
Crypto currencies 'value destruction' provides this tool for them to enact an enormous wealth transfer ( to them ).

  • I hate cold weather, and we need to melt as many snowflakes as possible before sane weather can return...Reality fixes this.
The good news is that the snowflakes will melt away very quickly once is starts heating up.

Some of the logic here seems to contradict itself.

If crypto is a testnet for CBDCs...
then DPOS is an amazing Republic 2.0 that will be employed widely.

What better way to control "democracy" than just straight up having a phat stack of money? Too easy.

You need to study logic more.
And economics.

Unless I'm as dumb as bag of rocks - in which case, discount what I've just said - as I'm obviously, woefully, wrong...

Is logic a thing that is studied?
Or is it something you do in practice.
I have a friend that was reading a book on how to be more creative.
I laughed at him; was that wrong?
Do you think you can read a book to be more creative?
Do you think you can read a book to have better logic?
Have you heard the term: book smart vs street smart?

I only trust you to do one thing.

And that is talk shit about left wing politics.
And even as someone with a radical left-wing background...
I find it delightful.

As for other topics,
the jury is still out.

Of course I don't trust juries either so, shoot.

For those looking long, and not just 'hodling' (god, I hate that term - it's so embarrassingly juvenile - which may sum up the current crytpo verse mentality ).

LMAO, I couldn't help but laughing out loud after reading this sentence. Since I strongly concur with you in the whole sentiment of this assessment. Hahahaha

...and not even any shiny shoes !

And as for the rest of what you've said in this post...

Time will tell...

Biggies.jpg
...just as it was written in the Mayan calendar. };)

Time will tell, indeed.
...Studies have found that using reality to bet on the future trends tend to be more accurate than using hopium.
The problem with 'hopium'- unlike reality which doesn't morph - 'copium' then kicks in, and with it, all sorts of unintended consequences...the streets might will be full of beggars, just waiting for moons, for example...

The final quarter of 2022 should be a relatively good time for accumulation. Alts can easily drop another 50% to 80%... even from these levels. All of these pumps are simply bear market rallies. I am surprised at how "out of touch" market participants are this time around, especially when you consider the macro environment. There is a massive disconnect...
