Can a Rotten Sunday still be Sublime and Beautiful

Well Welcome To My NOT So Perfect Sunday

The OldGuy is never one to sugar coat things. When I get into a blogger/vlogger, I am looking for authenticity, so naturally that is what I strive to present. In the vernacular from back in the day, we're keeping it real.

My Sunday was was ruined by computer issues. Is there anything more frustrating than computer problems. My build has been working flawlessly since February. All of a sudden the computer will not awaken from sleep. It literally died in its sleep. It will not boot, not get to the bios screen. I have 2x16GB sticks and I tried one at a time. I also swamped power supplies, ram, ssd, gpu, then cpu. I have to believe it is the mother board.

However I am grateful to have a backup machine to blog on.... Even if it seems like things are m o v i n g in SLOW motion! Wow that Ryzen really does spoil a body!!! :)) I just hope ASUS the maker of the motherboard will be eazy going.

Mother board and hard disk are the biggest killer. I had a laptop when I worked at Oracle and and issue. The lady from IT called it in and she said they change the hard disk. I died after a while and I brought it in again. She later told me she think this time the hard disk is new. She told me she suspected the previous hard disk wasn't based on the packaging in the later hard disk. Anyway, it still died after a while and I brought in again and she had the vendor come in and they changed the whole mother board.

Yeah I dont understand what happens to a motherboard, but they have a 3 year warranty for some reason I guess.

Most corporate either has a 3 year warranty on their PC/laptops and are on a 3 year lease nowadays here.
So, usually after a few years, the device is changed even if it is still working.

Computer problems are the worst. I'm never expecting it. Mine of course is off the self and has done fine and through my computer life, mine have done well along the way, but when they act up !.... it's certainly no fun.

Hope you get it all straightened out soon.

Noooooo! I had one die a hard death and now I back up everything in two places. Good thing we have kids to fix it for us. :) Although, mine make me do it myself and watch me, just so I will know how to do it next time.

Isn't that like parent abuse? I am going to tell them it is elder abuse! LOL

I hope it all gets straightened out soon! FYI: I always post on my laptop. I hard sit long enough to work on the desktop and I can sit the computer on the counter while I cook, clean, or even fold laundry. Try that with the desktop!
