For this week I explored a new trail the Quequechan River Rail Trail in Fall River

it is officially called the Alfred J. Lima Quequechan River Rail Trail, but was formally known simply as Quequechan River Rail Trail travels along the northern shore of scenic South Watuppa Pond.

The project created a ten foot wide paved surface with three foot grass shoulders that runs over a former railroad bed and five timber bridges to connect with Britland Park and Rodman Street.

the total length of the trail is about 4.5 Miles on this walk I explored perhaps one half of it and will go back and do the other half sometime

its a nice walk for the most part and with some nice water views

and thats enough for this post, will share some of the sights I saw in future posts perhaps

Weekly giveaway of shares

This week I am sending to the following who joined Wednesday Walk, for this week I did a random draw and the following each received some Hive @callmesmile, #steemflow, @strawberry, @grocko, @rsphotos, @jeansapphire

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

It's really looking the way to a beautiful destination. Grass shoulders surely have increased the beauty of trail.

indeed its a lovely trail for the most part, one side trail i took turned a bit shady so I didnt go down there far

What a beautiful place! It's almost not fair that you have so many amazing parks so close to you! I'm a bit jealous. We have some nice parks, but not all of them have the views like yours. Any idea how they pronounce the name of the park? I'm curious if it is similar to that town in Alaska.

Sorry no idea how they pronounce the name I know if I tried it with my Kiwi accent I would mess it up so badly lOL

I am fortunate to have so many nice spots close to here, but if it makes you feel better, this particular walk I took one of the side paths under a bridge and it got real shady, lots of drug paraphernalia and just felt uneasy there so quickly got out of that spot

Oh, yeah, I guess you probably run into that pretty much everywhere these days. It's kind of sad. If I had to guess it might be catch i can.

You are really a blessed guy who enjoys such beautiful views while walking.
I also took part in the Wednesday walk.

Nice place for a walk. ...are the bridges wooden?

yes there are a few wooden bridges and some concrete

I would love to walk here every morning, @tattoodjay, it's a really great location.

👍🙂👍

Wow! This is really a beautiful and colorful place. It looks very neat and well-maintained! Especially on a fresh morning as you describe it, this is a good way to start your day!

Thanks for sharing your walk with us!

Thanks for your visit, what a failed to mention was there were a couple of side paths that did not look so beautiful, very shady but I stayed away from them

Okay, that makes sense! I probably would have done the same!

Hello dear friend @tattoodjay good day
what a great infrastructure job, looks great to do a great hike on that trail. I hope you will return soon to complete the second part of the hiking trail.
beautiful photographs, I appreciate that you have shared with us

thanks and yes I will go back and check out the rest waiting for a nicer morning

What a lovely walk @tattoodjay I like the large wooden structure as seating area.
So cool to go over a boardwalk and you can actually see parts of the railway.
Thanks for sharing the views with us.

Today I share a walk through a magical forest… queens and kings… and again fairies… mixed with many wooden sculptures. It can be found in county Galway.
Have fun looking at this walk 😊

Thank you so much for the giveaways. God blesss.

Have a great day

Amazing pictures from that morning walk, am loving the blue skies and all the beautiful greenery. What a wonderful place to have a walk. Thank you for sharing and keep enjoying your week :}

thanks it was such a nice spot I will revisit it again soon and see the rest of it

That bench is surely a respite for walkers like you!
What crosses each person's mind as one sits o a bench over-looking the quiet river can be left to imagination, I'm sure. Me, I would be thinking of my family, and how I long to see them. It seems so long ago... 21 years to be exact... I've been alone, save for my sorority sisters, who have adopted me into their families.

not for me I am too hyper to stop and sit for a while, but I am sure many others make good use of that bench :)

I can relate its been a long while since i saw my family back in NZ

Great #wednesdaywalk. I've been on several "rails to trails" trails. Usually a good walk. I love the idea of converting old railways to something useful for us today after the trains have stopped running.

I think its a great idea setting up these trails, I used to love doing the one in NYC the Highline

Hello! It's a nice and peaceful place. Have a good day!
Here's my entry.
