I'd describe my life as colourful and vibrant generally, although it's had dark moments also. I'm not sure any adult who has made it to my age could say otherwise because life doesn't always go to plan.
I took this photo at the front door because the splash of colour matched my current mood...happy (amidst the shadows that sometimes creep in, and have been encroaching now and then lately). It happens.
It gave me pause and I thought about how some people fall backwards and into their darker thoughts, attitudes and moments letting them affect how they move forward. I then felt grateful that my own way of dealing with it has been the opposite.
Life must be lived, and accepting bad things will and do happen then simply moving forward, no matter how difficult that may be, is how I go about things; it's all about finding the splashes of colour amongst the shadows and building on them.

Lovely Hydrangeas...it is easy to hee how they reflect happiness right back to the viewer.
The eternal optimist, that's me lol....I seldom find the darkness, even when bad things happen. It has always been that way.
Happy flowers indeed!
I was just looking at some flowers (I think some of those as well) trying to find something that would tolerate shade as the only place I can plant them to be safe from rampaging chickens is shaded for a fair chunk of the day. I came back with nothing because the child that had been doing the garden planning was still asleep at home.
Love your white picket fence XD
Those rampaging chickens can be problematic, no wonder tourists think everything in Australia is deadly. Because it is. 😊
I like white picket fences. Oldworld charm.
Life NEVER goes as planned... I had to deal with so much shit I didn't even know could exist, want it or not, sooner or later you are gonna step on a shit... You too have your things...My parents too, my grandparents also... It's not always easy to move forward expecially when after a shit you step on an other one when you are still cleaning your boot... But the world goes forward no matter if you are crying or smiling, so let's smile?
That flowers are very common here, my grandmother had a lot of them in the garden, I always think at her when I see them
It's coincidental you mention your grandmother. Mine had these too, a great many of them, and when I see them I always remember spending time there, her teaching me how to bake and sew and other things. These are fond memories.

Very similar memories we have, no sew for me but gardening instead
I agree, these are good ones
Well said and I agree. Life just happens and we can work with it or against it. I prefer the former.
If we allow ourselves to dive into the dark and bad, we cannot move forward, and that dark may trap us, so we must always look forward, learning from the past.
Hydrangeas... I have loved them all my life, to think that blue is made in a special way by adding something to the soil. I love it!
Yep, nice flowers indeed; my girl loves them and enjoys making them different colours.
They make any house happy, beautiful!
Went up to my terrace garden the other day and found this gem of a flower:
It's a potato flower coming up among many chia plants. There were some more flowers, but this one had the nicest contrast with the magenta and the yellow. Not as many shades as your pic, but it did make me smile, so I took a picture. Which is rare recently, with the camera broken, I don't enjoy taking pictures as much. But I'll get a new cellphone in Germany, so it'll be fine.
Glad to read that you're happy.
A nice contrast against the green and blue. Thanks for sharing.
That's a very great attitude to have. I wish I could train myself to think that way more often.
It's training that makes the attitude happen for sure, effort.
As long as it is not too colorfool...
Juss' Sayin'
It would not be too colorfool of me to ask after a homo joke for a topic about being a victim of a shady deal this W.E. would it?
Love Ya Bro...
Your gayest gif so far.
I'm not sure about the topic thing, just tell me one here ⬇️
Have you ever been the victim of an online scam or sent money to a crown prince on a promise of great wealth in return?
Lol...or maybe the Nigerian Prince will choose to do a post?
