Today I'm here with the Twenty Seventh iteration (can't believe it's been 27 already!) of my "Power Up & Sponsor" initiative! I will try to be doing these monthly, to both join in on the Power Up day festivities but also to add my own flavor to it that I think would be great if more could join in!

I finished my PUM in May and did my first power up to somebody else. Now powering myself up soon and write a post about it 😉😎 yes… it is a beautiful day.

You’re welcome! It’s great to be able to help out with others like this. The basic income program is awesome and it takes a while to get some benefits out of it but it’s good to have overall. Helping out newer people is the name of the game for me so what I can do to help, I’ll try and make my own way to do it!

I did have trouble the last few days with LeoFinance.io on the iPad and laptop. The mobile was the only one that did work. Maybe they switched now and are still updating. More people said they were having trouble.
Hope it will be resolved soon.

If you click on PEAKD SETTINGS from your profile you will brought to the above page, click on the drop down and you will see node providers which you can easily change to anyone.
If you click on CHECK SPEED it will actually tell you the fastest node for you.

Thanks my friend! It’s great to make progress towards the goal. Now if I can sell a bunch of stuff for Splinterlands to get me closer to that goal I’ll be able to achieve it!
Getting an account created for our son is great, once he’s at about 100 HP I’ll try to set up him on auto votes and earn some slow curation rewards. Who knows what the account will be valued at in 10 years!

I find the daily Focus points tougher but have opted to keep battling for more end of season rewards while doing the daily focus points also.
I was a bit disappointed at first at the difficulty of accumulating FP but now seeing things differently

I’m not a big fan of the focus points. It seems like it once again favors bots over people even though it was directed that it would be the opposite. I’m in upper gold and diamond league on my accounts and having to battle a bunch of times to get 3-4 chests for daily sucks ass. The end of season rewards will be better yes but daily quest sucks. I don’t have a lot of time to play in a day and only getting 3 chests for my efforts is a real pain in the ass. Not trying to be too negative but I think some modifications would be warranted like each day you start with 25% of the focus chests of the day before would be good that way we don’t start at 0 every day.
Yes I like your idea of starting at certain % for the next focus points, another thing I thought of is, since the aim is to have players play more, why not do away with earning FP with a particular Element, I think it will be better not restricting players to a particular Element.

Personally I like the element part. I have most elements at a good point but my life element sucks so I always skip that one lol. It also depends on the day playing. Sometimes my earth goes easy as hell other days it’s miserable. It just adds a layer of entertainment and a way for people to try and upgrade their elements so they can be versatile.
Good point there, I have also maintained a balance deck, Life happens to be my favorite, Death element which was once my favorite is now the one I avoid at all cost.

There’s lots of great things on hive and being able to have fun initiatives like this with the benefit of the basic income principle are great! It’s good to try and boost the newer people as best we can, although you’re not so new nowadays! :D
LOL - no problem! …and yeah, it’s kind of hard to believe, but I’ve been Hivin’ for a good minute now! I’m still part of the new generation of Hiveans though I would think.
I was dreaming about this SBI concept - I need to Presearch and read up on this, I don’t fully understand it, I just know enough to know it’s cool 🤣
The SBI concept is awesome indeed. It doesn't pay a crazy APR or anything, in fact I think it was proven to be slightly less valuable in the long run than keeping the Hive and powering it up but it's symbolic to me as a way to help others out and a kind gesture that I want people to also do for other users one day, be them new or just someone who deserves it. That to me is worth the extra cost!
Agreed. I like supporting the various concepts growing on the blockchain, and if they’re kicking a little something back, just an added bonus!
Powering up is always good, but currently I use my free Hive to buy HBD to get that nice 20% APR.

Yeah the APR for that is really nice! I know that I have a few dozen in my savings account and like to watch it grow. With the reduced price of hive I’m trying to snag more of it as I can so when the price of hive goes up again I’ll be in a good position for some sweet votes! Lol
