Sports Betting Blockchain Projects | June 2021 Report

I try to stay up to date with all the latest news and developments from Blockchain Projects that offer Sports Betting making a report each month with my personal experience and insights on how this space is evolving.

Market Overview

Pretty much a massacre in the altcoin market and the sports betting-related coins didn't escape. There was a switch with Augur no longer being the biggest project with Wink.org taking the top spot mainly because the total supply in circulation shown on coinmarketcap changed. A fairly brief update on some of the projects I'm following closest this month...

Things a couple of month ago looked way better for https://wagerr.com/sportsbook with the total minted WGR going down while overall volumes continued to go up. This pretty much turned around last month with a big decline in how much WGR was staked and a lot of WGR being minted. I'm not sure how reliable the numbers on the wagerr explorer are as the number of WGR that was minted last year seems to have mostly increased for some reason. My main worry all the way with this project was the danger of sharp money being to exploit the bookie system and the volatile WGR price making it unsuitable for any serious betting. I'm sure more updates will come and overall 'damage' in minted WGR still is very much within a 'safe zone'. I will continue to montor all of it the coming months.

Betfury.io released their sportbook last month and also made the BFG token available for trading. It started at 0.07$, went up to 0.30$ to see it go down belwo 0.02$ where I picked some up to test it out as it has the potential to be a good addition to my Gambling Dividends portfolio. I will keep an eye on it and might add some to my portfolio if I'm able to buy at the right price.

This was one of the most promising projects that involved sports betting on a blockchain early in 2017 but it now seems to be showing a zero balance on coinmarketcap.
