Week 17 Results | 14W-18L-6P | -0.262 Units Loss

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Week 17 ended with only a slight loss and as with most times, it could have gone much better or much worse. I did feel some signs of fatigue and drop in overall focus though so it is nice for there to be a World Cup Break for a while.

The main losses came from the cup matches which is somewhat becoming a tradition which is why I kept the stakes on those relatively low. I can't help but see good potential in these matches though but they hare a challenge to handicap and put proper numbers on.

The regular season is now halfway and I couldn't have been more pleased on how smooth things have gone so far delivering a solid profit of over 8 units and close to +7% ROI after 800+ bets.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2022-2023

The regression to the mean by now clearly kicked in as the pace of hitting winners had to come to a stop at some point. This resulted in a drop from being over 20 units profit to now just above 13 which is still exceptionally good givinga +11.77% ROI after 111 bets. I plan to keep this going in the exact same way during the 2nd half of the regular season and the only aim remains to make long term profit just taking the swings as the come.

Regular Season 2022-2023 Personal Betting Chart

The season chart has now gone somewhat sideways for a while which gives the pink expected profit line time to catch up. Looking at the visuals of this season, so for it's a real beauty pretty much straight up without too many crazy swings. However, not much is needed in order to get things down again. a week of -3 units would already get me around the pink line. The goal however is to keep going up and if possible get some big winning weeks to see another nice spike.
