Maybe this is the right place to ask this: how do I purchase LEO coins? Do I have to use Hive? Can I do it from metamask with ETH? What engine do I use? I'm kind of confused with all the different wallets and tokens on different apps. I can find a wallet on peakd, leo, hive, etc... Are they all the same? Or, if someone could point me to a post or FAQ that would answer those questions, I'd appreciate it! Thank you!

For the wallets I understand it could be confusing haha.
I usually find it easier to go to Leodex wallet, there you can see all the second layer tokens you have and stake/delegate/transfer it. All in one wallet.
Regarding buying LEO it will all depends on how much you want to invest.
If you are planning to be a whale and invest thousands of dollars then you might use Uniswap to buy your LEOs.
Assuming it's a huge amount of money you invest and ETH transaction fees are a drop in your investment.
Otherwise if you want to put a bit of money then go to Leodex (again) and buy it there with your Hive.
I suggest Leodex because the deposit/withdrawal fees are 0.25% instead of 1% on Hive-engine.

How do I even get Hive in here? I have a little on an exchange that I bought years ago when it was Steem. I don't even see anywhere I can find an address to transfer it into. All of my Hive in here is in HP, which is where it was on Steemit. I'd rather leave that where it is but I'd like to get some regular Hive to use to get a little of the Leo and possibly others. Plus, I'm a little nervous about trying to swap into Leo on uniswap. I tried looking up the Leo address on etherscan and kept getting a different Leo....
Let's forget about Uniswap for the moment and start from the beginning, getting liquid HIVE.
It's way easier to buy HIVE as it's listed on some big exchange platforms.
For example I buy mine on Binance and I transfer it with very minimal fees to my Hive wallet.
From there I deposit it to Leodex and buy LEO.

Yes, I know where to buy it. Bittrex has it available. But, where do I find my address on Hive? I can't figure out where I find my address to transfer into Hive. Do I have to open an account with Blocktrades or something?

If you choose to buy LEO, you can do it at LeoDex, there is still no option to join LeoDex through MetaMask, but if you have the Hive Keychain you can go easy.
By LeoDex the rates are the cheapest on the Hive blockchain, only 0.25% to deposit HIVE or withdraw.

You can go into the Liquidity pool on Ethereum and purchase wLEO there which then can be pulled into your Leo wallet by swapping it to Leo.
