There are numerous ways people have 'connected' their social media profiles together, and as you have a website then an update there, or on a stream (twitch live plays can be embedded into posts here) would be cool.

This place can be a bit overwhelming at first but take your time and explore all the different Dapps built on here. The gaming side seems to be developing well as does the video hosting through 3speak. There are things for all your interests. One account gives you access to all.
The handest thing to start with is Hive Keychain which will help keep you secure and be your key to everything.

Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
Use your active key only for wallet transactions, keychain and Peaklock,
The owner password is only used to reset compromised passwords,
