So it was my 6th hive anniversary 3 days ago, and I woke up this morning trying to find a word_____ a single word to coin the experience.
As someone who loves the word "process" (because I feel process is a term that every living thing can draw relatability to) I decided to use the word "HIVI-GOURATION" which I actually took from the word Invigoration.
Here, see the regular meaning from this screenshot and do the maths. Forgive my creative process, sometimes I tend to come up with stupid creatives, but they end up appealing, and I just had to go with it. It's been a crazy 6 years if you ask me. My first 3 years on the chain were smooth because it wasn't laden with any expectations.
I just wanted to meet people from other countries, so we could talk about food and money. I've always been obsessed with food, cultural differences and money. The Blockchain offered that stupendous opportunity. Being on hive exposed me to the highest number of people I've ever met. Before here, it was work, home, friends, bed, and sleep, except when I intercepted this by going to college.
I started using a Java phone in 2011 as a teenager, I remember always asking my friend to show me a social application where I could talk to foreigners, especially those who would be interested in my writing pitches and possibly help me with them. He introduced me to Facebook in October 2011, It was a fun place to be in, until Zuckerberg came with his restrictions, and it was no longer viable. Although I met people on Fiverr and Twitter, whom I helped in one way or the other to get their books published, I just didn't have the means to leave Nigeria to further my writing career.
Make no mistake, social interaction is something I enjoy doing, I can do to strangers for years, learning and understanding them, for absolutely nothing. So when my friend told me about the Blockchain in September 2017, I saw the opportunity to monetize my talkativeness, and my strange romantics for foreign alliances. I attended Nigerian meetups back in my first and second years. I was like a leech to some of the people I considered digital godfathers.
I remembered this guy gifting me 3 steem in my first day on the chain. I followed him on Facebook, and Twitter stalked his account and slept on his steemit profile for months. He still does not know, but the gifted me for just talking with him, and this was how my psychological interest in the people on the Blockchain began.
Interestingly, there was no racism on the chain back then, and there still isn't (to some extent) what you have was cliques______ people whose interests aligned. There wasn't a class differentiation like we have nowadays. Everyone is potentially friendly. Even the flaggy whales were reasonable people, even when they started their downvote wars. They were like adult babies at heart. Interestingly downvotes back then were lenient, no matter how notorious it was, the only thing now is that the chain is more refined, less bad actors, more projects.
Nevertheless, I still miss that flair, the jive, and the notoriety of the old chain.
Oppppssss!!! Back to me, it's been a pleasant journey, hive is a place we cannot define in one straight definition. Everyone has a different thing to say, and irrespective of its failings, we still have an ecosystem, a Blockchain that's revolutionary. Some of my life goals have subconsciously synched with this place: the people, the relationship, and the means. I've met and unmet people, the ones who are now total strangers, the ones who have completely gone, and the ones who morphed from friends to brothers. It's a total mirror of reality with bigger accessibility and without geographical limitations.
My goal has always been to travel to other spaces, hive might make that a reality, but due to the instability of my health, I've chosen to build other goals. I bleed the chain, through and through, and I'm one of those people who are willing to go to any length so we can thrive. By a long shot, we're still far from ready. However, we can dwell on the positive, amidst the mild FUDs So it's my sixth anniversary. I like to say a big "thank you" without tag spamming everyone who's been instrumental to my journey.
I might not be able to pay you back, but your efforts lives in me, I can hear your voice and see your smile whenever I go out to support anyone, to the ones who are now chasing different paths away from the chain, I say nyabooonga!!! from my spirit and soul I say DAAALU!!! (thank you) Your efforts lives in me, they're the identity I have, the smile I form and I swagger I walk with. Hehe, I was actually tired from yesterday's commitment. It rained all through and I shifted all my daily stuffs till night. So I didn't really sleep that much yesterday night, so I woke by 9 or so. I was even dozing when I was doing my morning pray. I was that tired lol

It may have been when I was asking about which Summoner to level up on Splinterlands, and next thing you know, we were compairing our silmilar childhoods where we had to take on outsized responsibilities in our families at a young age.
