Living & Living Unintentionally (The Financial Repercussion)

No one can correctly predict the longevity of their lives and this is why you shouldn't work to enjoy the money at a later stage. The truth is, so many people have spent everything they own simply because they've predicted wrongly how long their lives would be. There's something synonymous with people who aren't intentional about money.

These people feel that life is too short to build an empire of wealth that would probably not be spent by them, this brings a sort of limit to how they tend to express their abilities to reach for heights of success, achievements and money. Truth is, life is too short for our reckoning and also too long beyond our reasoning. How can I explain this paradoxical statement?

The truth is, money doesn't guarantee long life, but then it should facilitate and protect against physical hazards that directly threatens one's life. In reality, it's often nonsensical to chase all the wealth in the world beyond one's limitation to actually spend them.

Too Long Or Too Short?

However, to explain the second part of that statement, life subconsciously becomes too long especially when the resources to actually "live it" isn't available. People who do not have money, regularly see no essence to aging, this is because they weren't intentional enough in the first place.

This is why the rich blames the poor for not contributing enough and the poor blames the rich for taking all the world's resources including the one that is meant for them to change their lives with. The sense of entitlement is double standards from these two different people. In my early 20s I was faced with the situation of starving to death or working to death.

To me these two situation yields one result. I had health issues that could be fatal if I chose to work beyond my capacity, but if I didn't, I was faced with the implosion of being homeless and starving as well. In this situation, many would prefer the slower death by choosing not to work.

The Propensity To Live Intentionally

However, I did realize that one's quality of life can improve when you have the right amount of money. This basically translates to the fact that we need to show a sustainable urge for balance. Inasmuch as I do not have a child at the moment, nor am I married, yet I am already planning for my child(ren), a family and even more, the truth is, having money isn't just for one's satisfaction alone, the world would maintain a cyclical efficiency especially when people decide not to live for themselves alone.

This is one of the major problems of western African style of building and raising their families. In the country where I come from, most people see marriage as a means to afford constant and cheap sex, the fact that they're not financially buoyant, doesn't influence their choice of having less or more children, in this situation, their gratification makes them have more children of which they hardly plan or are intentional for.

So these people live life unintentionally never deeming it necessary to be aware of the implications of their actions.

A lot of people blame government for poverty, but the truth is not being intentional about one's life, makes it difficult to make plans, better plans that would influence them and others as well. So many people are not cognizant of their finance to see if they're losing or winning, they're in business, but have no physical or mental accounting of what they're doing.

Originally why should people keep records? To me, it's so that they can hold themselves to a fault and also accountable. The reason why we tend to hold ourselves accountable Is because we have a futuristic conviction to actually do better than we have done.

A lot of people do not have futuristic convictions, they're living to exist, not checking their expenditure or income to see if there's a level of balance, they hardly consider that living well could help someone immediately close to them when they die.

Mitigating Uncertainties

But, not being intentional about one's state of existence, is why they don't have a long-term plan towards saving, towards insurance or towards education. I know a lot of people who still believe it's foolhardy to have a savings when life isn't even guaranteed.

This is selfish and shallow minded because some feels they'll die earlier than they know, so they spend without reckoning, at the end of the day, it turns out that they've lived longer than they've planned and hence they'll have to battle or cope with poverty as a result of their ostentatiousness.

In truth, we do not know how long we live, but shouldn't we live well enough no matter how short? Don't our next of kin, society deserve the essence of our goodwill? Wouldn't that be a legacy to be left behind? Everyone deserves the good things of life and the fear of making all the whole money and not spending it limits the heights people can realistically attain in life.

Do you know I recently thought, "why I'm I building wealth, if tomorrow I will not live to enjoy them all"? And then my head said, "because you are trying to pull your generation from bondage moving forward". She explained, I will be setting a pace for a generation yet unborn, and if my parents tried their possible best to give me a comfortable life, then, it makes sense if I move up the ladder for my children too. Then, they'll do the same, and the process continues.

You are right, most people think life is too short to build wealth, they tend to forget they cannot predict the future. So they ought to plan for it regardless.

I see what you said in the accounting in businesses. I don't know why those who are in small businesses do not see a need to keep accounts. They do not realize if they had accounts for all the transaction in their small business, the numbers which does not lie, will reflect their process, and where they need to step up tehir game. By knowing their business accounts, they can plan towards upgrading their businesses to bigger ones

Thanks for this lovely one here, in reality, I tend to look at the broader perspective. I never did have enough from my father and I know if I did, I would have probably been a better man, but im happy that those challenges made me. Even if I don't age like Methuselah, this doesn't mean I can't leave a financial legacy for my kids to actually live on and build with. Sometimes it's beyond us in totality, we have to be accountable to ourselves one way or another.

I am sorry about your foundation with parenting. I got lucky with mine.. I must confess

When I hear you talk about your financial foundation, it reminds me of my dad. Not that Grandpa wasn't well to do, he was, it just that it didn't benefit his children much. Up till today, no one wants to talk about the reasons he lived that way. And everyone has forgotten about it

Why? Because my dad came and changed the dynamic for us. Like you, he wanted something different for us, and he gave his sweat and blood for everything. Building, everything from scratch. My dad is my role model in everything including the ways I handled money.

What I am trying to say is that you are on the right track just like my dad, you will be able to create a future for your children, so they know no pain, and they will be grateful to you for that, just as I am grateful to my dad.

Awwwnnnn, I appreciate it, no matter how small it is. Thanks boss.

Thanks for always putting forth something to ponder upon, I love reading them. Confession: I have read almost all the link-backs you put forth at the end of your posts, I just do not leave a comment since they are always old by the time I get there. There was one morning, I sat down, I opened each one in different tabs, reading everything 😂😂😂.

I don't know where your knowledge rushes from, but, keep that tap flowing. Good morning.

The secret to content creating is to be vast, experienced and rigorously be a voracious reader by oneself. Overtime I find contenting to be a way to kill three birds with one stone, first of, I do it before hive, it's a gig o once offered on the internet before crypto and the blockchain, so it's often important to get a critical review of one's contents. Plus I don't know how you find the energy, the consistency level is dragon scale. Hahah.

Well, I am a voracious reader, that much I know. What I lack is experience. Experience of the real world because I have been suck up in the pages of written contents (books, and blog posts) and I had forgotten to live.

This year I am going to be intentional of gaining experience. And I am already starting. I hope the universe will help me so I can be as good as you... Hehehehe.

Of course I know this part of your life too. When I told you I have read almost all your blog post, believe me. I remember the ones that talked about you investing time and energy in creating and managing blogs on Google in order to earn from Google adsense and the rest.

Crypto came and stole your heart away from the centralized economy. I most remind you that I admired your courage to step into something that was so unknown, at that time, and today, you are reaping the benefits.

Plus I don't know how you find the energy, the consistency level is dragon scale. Hahah.

I guess, this is what addiction does to me....lol. besides, when I see people like you pushing everyday, I am motivated to do the same. I have a feeling you guys made it this far, by pushing everyday without relenting efforts, I'm I right?

This is why you shouldn't work to enjoy the money at a later stage.

This was my dad! My mom would always remind him that he would not take any of his wealth when he leaves this world. She would always spoil him and make him spoil himself from time to time but he still wouldn’t see the point sometimes…

I wish I could show my dad this post. Even at 85years my dad still had a lot of plans to accomplish because he had the resources to back up those plans. However, life’s inevitable presented itself…

It was a huge lesson to enjoy every moment of our lives whether plenty money or small money…

I wouldn't blame your Dad, I use to probably feel that I needed to actually to work, then retire before I spend, Crypto and blockchain with different experience in relativity to others actually taught me otherwise. God bless your Dad's soul, I'm sure be meant well with his intentions, everyday we find more essence to living.

His intentions were good.
I just wish he had really taken out a lot of time to really enjoy all he worked for 😞…

All is well

True, you look around & you notice the ones with more children are those struggling to make ends meet.
The key is in striking a balance for sure.

It's hard to really tell and I don't think any of the wealthiest people can really spend all their money. Even if they did, I doubt it would really make them that happy unless it was something they really wanted. Maybe that is why Elon wanted to create SpaceX because he wanted to go to space to be happy. Either way, I just live life the way I want it and it would be best if I didn't have any financial burdens either.

This is deep, we find ourselves hustling and grinding everyday, but we don’t know what the future holds for our lives. That’s why some people always say, as long as you are hustling, always try to enjoy because if you don’t enjoy it’s next of kin that will reap all your hard work and they will never know the pain invested in building that wealth.

Finding a balance in life is just the right way to live the life. Don’t over work yourself and always make out time to take care of yourself.

Very nice reflection.

I try to live my life in a way that I can still enjoy my money while I'm young and well but at the same time still save a decent amount so that I can mitigate future risk and hopefully retire around my 40s.

I can always relate to your content on a deeper level, you inspire and pitch the truth in the right way

Especially the point you layed out (MOST PEOPLE GET MARRIED FOR THE LUXURY OF CHEAP SEX) It's a pity vast majority are guilty of this allot of people are not actually living life
They just spend the passing of time existing... While Life fulfilment is far from their dictionary

I may not know what Inspires them, but anything it can be isn't serious enough.. If your future expectations can't inspire you, then your present circumstances should _ This very EMPEROR you know, Is in for Allot of good things in my life (quote $tolen from @merit.ahama 🤫)...
