I have spoken to some people lately about crypto and hive and the optimism seems rather great, for a larger percentage of these people, so I'm keying into this optimism because, in crypto, optimism goes a long way in keeping one emotionally and mentally in check.
Nevertheless, I chose to do so because I also know people who are pessimistic about the Crypto space and hive in general. Some people tap into the aspect of slow growth as a reason why they do not solidly believe in hive. Others also feel that the cabalism or downvotes are one negative and irrefutable aspects of hive they cannot stand.
while I tend to agree with them in my arguments, for someone who has seen these aspects, my arguments to them is that the potential of hive is bigger than it's failings and this is a huge win. All the financial systems in the world are flawed, crypto and Blockchain projects built around them will be no different.
Because we're building the future of tech and finance doesn't mean we'll be able to build a system devoid of greed, ruthlessness, and corruption. Corruptions will be in human nature, the struggle for power, resources, envy, and jealousy. Crypto and Blockchain will not change this.
The revolution we're building will never tamper or improve human nature, whether it's crypto or physical space, but it's going to be better with Crypto and blockchain because people can own, build and create bigger financial opportunities for themselves.
We cannot get rid of double standards, ass licking, FUD,
thievery, and scam, but we can create a balance, something to hold on to in a bid to fight these things. I believe we shouldn't completely dismiss pessimism especially when it comes to maybe hive or crypto in general, but at the same time, we cannot completely dwell on it, because it might blind us from seeing potential.
So when it comes to hive, I believe creating a massive population where average people will hold sizeable stakes, and collectively grow themselves and their projects would be very important in building a liberal population that their contributions and actions would be tailored towards growing hive.
However irrespective of concerns and failings regarding this revolutionary technology (hive) I think we're slowly getting better. Creating balance makes it possible for us to come up with great strategies to handle worrisome aspects of the projects we are building sentimentally and financially. It's important to understand that balance in crypto is really important.
For example, the FTX saga has set crypto back a lot, In fact, it might be that we haven't even begun to see the consequences, but on the flip side, crypto will achieve some solidity going forward because we would have been rid of projects with ulterior motives.
People are going to be more intentional about the exchange their dealing with, the history of the exchange, track records, and all, some other people will choose cold storage while others will completely do away with CEXs in search of DEXs.
In conclusion
I believe in the technology and the sophistication that comes with it, I believe crypto and Blockchain will be able to accomplish unthinkable feats in the future. For am innovation that's not up to 20 years, I know that for earliest contributors like us, it might feel like a long time, but it really isn't.
Overall, the feeling around crypto is great, hive hasn't done badly, and has survived one of it's biggest challenges, nevertheless I believe everyone can decide to do better for themselves and the chain, especially when it comes to building a bigger and better universe for the numerous projects and people that we choose to build here in the near future.

I agree, we can dwell and focus on the negatives or focus on the positives and try and achieve our goals. I know what I am going to do.
I think it's the best, there's no system that's perfect and hive is no different. The positives are more, no doubt about it
For me, I approach Hive and crypto in general from two perspectives. The first one is to be realistic and see both sides of the coin. The second, is having a long term vision. Like you mentioned above, there are some things that are inherently human nature and doing away with them is near impossible. But this doesn't mean we shouldn't strive/build to empower individuals and give them the tools to help them achieve or unlock their potential(s). I think the upside far outweighs the downside.
Like you've said, the potential sure outweighs the downside like you've mentioned, but I do wish we can do away with some human actions that are condescending and cruel to some particular extent.
Yes. A possible solution is limiting the grounds in which they're able to show that, like not giving them the space to express those actions.
Correctly said it all.... Technology can't change human from not doing corruption.
This is the biggest Point.. most people just stuck at crypto is buy and sell thing... things are getting more better and latest innovation coming or improving every other day... Staying optimistic and realistic thinking is the way!
Crypto cannot change inherent human actions and this is probably why should just hold on to the advancement of the technology and hope it'll be better soon enough.

I think it can but it will take time for people to believe things. They need to be able to filter out all the scams that give crypto a bad view. In a way, people need to invest into good solid projects.

Exactly, and Hive is a solid project with it's imperfections I only think it's natural that we crypto as the core product is valuable and we only need to stick to projects that represents this

I'd agree that keeping optimism is good because how else can we keep talking about the future of cryptocurrency.
The thing about crypto is that growth is slow but certain especially for decentralized crypto.
Well what can I say? There's a choice, it's either one stays in or leaves. The growth of crypto isn't slow considering it's less than 20 years. I believe we're up to something revolutionary.
Yeah for sure with your sentiments here. Hive isn’t perfect but it’s pretty damn good. It accomplished many things that other chains cant or won’t which is important. It’s never going to be perfect but that’s okay, perfection is in the eye of the beholder for sure.

Positive thinking I think its very useful in all things of life.
it is useless to focus on the negative aspects and waste energy... it is better to use them to change those negative aspects.

Well, people who have never been downvoted before will feel like it’s a hate or something against their personality if someone downvoted them.
I fell like when am being downvoted it’s purely something that has to benefit the blockchain. The problem is if you are downvoted to a stage where you can’t even take it anymore.
The feeling around give us great; at least from my circle they feel great about how good hive is performing in this “bear market”. But I do hope things get better and better for us all.
I’ve not been here for that long so maybe the optimism is great cause I’ve not seen the worse of the worse.
