I'm writing this post to challenge myself to daily crypto reading. I was writing every single day consistently with LeoFinance from late September this year and by end of October, I developed a habit of writing daily. Then November came and I had to travel for family reasons. Now I feel like I'm ready to build up my old habits again. Reading is my keystone habit, So I can't wait any longer. I'm starting today :)

Many people got into crypto because they read something that related to Bitcoin or crypto on the internet (Web2). Obviously, there are not many books written about Crypto yet so I could guess 99% of the information related to crypto is still on the internet.
2014 was the year I personally start to understand the power of reading. My daily reading habit compounded every day and I saw an abundant world with many opportunities and unlimited possibilities. This allowed me to quit my 9-5 job and start my own AirBnb business. The same year one of my AirBnb guests from California explained to me the fundamentals of Bitcoin and encourage me to buy some. So I could say I first heard about Bitcoin via word of mouth. (That's why I always say word of mouth is most powerful marketing for our Hive Network)
Anyway, I did not buy Bitcoin in 2014 though. We had Brexit in 2016 and my first startup of English language conversation club failed. Because Brexit had a direct impact on life, I started to take politics more seriously. Reading news and following world affairs made me a depressed person. Fortunately, I stumbled upon news related to Bitcoin on RT.com (the source for unbiased political news in my experiences). Long story short, My crypto journey has started because of my reading habit. The more I read about decentralization and crypto, the better that I understood that OUR ONLY HOPE TO SEPARATE MONEY FROM STATE is Crypto.
Bitcoin is an exit from the Fed.
DeFi is an exit from Wall Street.
Social media is an exit from mass media.
Homeschooling is an exit from industrial education.
Remote work is an exit from 9-5
Creator economy is an exit from employment.
Individuals are leaving institutions.
From day one of going all-in with crypto, I spend more than 7 hours a day reading Reddit, listening to Youtube. Thanks to the 2017 Bull market and my investments performed extremely well. Obviously not having to work in a day job gave me all the time the freedom to read more and more! However, I couldn't sustain my reading habit longer because I focused on becoming to entrepreneur from an investor.
Now in 2021, I'm looking back at my own life and especially the last 10 years and reminding myself why I need to read daily to become a long-term successful investor.
Crypto will create more and more remote work that can empower individuals to exit from 9-5 jobs.
Hive will play a huge role in the future Creator economy that can empower individuals from employment.
Creator economy is an exit from employment.
This particular sentence is the most valuable thing I read yesterday and I'm trying to imagine how many people can exit day jobs because of Hive in the coming years.
Reading for ~5 hours a day for 2 years completely rewires your brain.
I insist on a lot of time being spent, almost every day, to just sit and think. That is very uncommon in American business. I read and think. So I do more reading and thinking, and make less impulse decisions than most people in business. I do it because I like this kind of life.

Couldn't agree more with you! When you mention reading, people usually think about big, fat books, and just drop the "reading idea" right away... It's not all about (and in) the books as there are many other posts, articles where you can learn a lot...
Doing these picks for the @Ourpick I'm doing a similar thing as you, reading more posts every morning keeping my mind open... The point is to LISTEN to others, accept good ideas, implement them in your life, and RETURN it back to others...
...and you are right about that! Also, you are a perfect person to spread the word to others, with your charisma and honesty... I really hope that we will finish this lunatic pandemic soon so that we can organize meetups and make stronger bonds with each other...

It is very rational. The truth is, everyone in the crypto space thrive on information and this is why it's relatively Important fo actually read, be exposed to diverse projects and be involved, taking time to read widdens our scope and eventually we become better. Most of what I know about crypto is through reading.

That's a really good goal. I am working on a curation schedule for the different accounts I manage so that is a good way to look at it. I have to remember that comsuming, ,curation, and commenting are all just as important as producing good content, in some ways even more important! Great post buddy!

I think I read enough throughout the day in LeoFinance so I don't mind the 3speak videos every now and then (taskmaster4450). At least that gives me a chance to listen on the sidelines before commenting.
I have to say I learned a lot about crypto during my time at LeoFinance and I like that it also includes some macro economic topics too.

I've learned more since I joined LeoFinance a few months ago than I have my whole life when it comes to crypto. As someone who has been in crypto since 2015 and doesn't have a regular job - the amount of knowledge here is amazing. Spend a couple hours reading and you might just find your next investment or a new blockchain game. You might learn something about yourself along the way. LeoFinance is definitely the go-to place for crypto content.

I totally agree in the power of reading. I love to read old traditional books and it's actually in one of these paperbooks that I read about steem lol. In a way a book brought me to the blockchain :-)

Then they gave me a said criteria for why.....and I do not fit the criteria and they blacklisted me anyway! In the discord appeals they implied I was making too much money with my photo posts. But never addressed the fact that I do not fit their own criteria for blacklisting! My photo posts are always a set of 9 quality photos from places I've been and I use one article for the series of new photos just to go along with them. They said I'm not adding new content to my posts.....they are saying my 9 new photos are not new content. That's the whole reason people like the posts, up-vote and comment. The better the photos the better the posts do.
I was planning on touring Thailand on Motorbike next year with some HIVE t-shirts to wear and give away as we travel, while making super good blog posts. But at the moment my blog is destroyed.

Mindful reading...I like the idea. For me it means to stop and think through an idea or analysing how something might apply to my own life.
Now that's deep! If we can can search deep within us what we are capable of and can achieve.
Consistent reading broadens one's level of thinking and exposes one to opportunities of several kinds especially if we are looking at crypto projects out there.

It is a very good habit, but perhaps I can recommend looking for a technique to perfect that habit. Example: from 8 to 9 in the morning I will read and from 9 to 10 I will make the post about my readings. Trello helps me a lot, it is a tool that has helped me to establish healthy habits. Thanks for sharing, it has been an inspiring read.

I found the crypto world through a friend who doesn't even speak the same language! Leofinance and the other social media platforms within hive constantly help me understand the ecosystem and what crypto entails, how big the world change is going to be when people realize that to really make decisions they must be really informed and not just politically positioned!

A great perspective on knowledge acquisition! The ability to focus for five hours in our world of disctraction is a super power!
It always has - but the interesting thing is that in the crypto metaverse, the early adopters will be earning stable incomes already, when the mass would try to join and competition will be fierce.
Im trying to read and write comments on as many posts i can get to do a day to try and engage with as many people as possible

Reading habits are a very good job. I also try to read a lot of content because there is a lot to know and learn from them. It's nice to know something about your Bitcoin journey.
Reading is the greatest at to making it.
Another advantage of reading posts on leofinance is that your content about finance will get better.

Crypto have really helped in that aspect of learning so many things daily on the blockchain in the aspect of reading and getting more information about what's happening in the world of crypto and I believe leofinance is one of them and am glad to have come across it in the hive blockchain.
