Yup, its almost depressing

There's no way to get through to them. And the anger that often presents itself when questioning is actually fear.

Absolutely. No way of getting through. They are remarkably rigid in the way that they have pretty much been indoctrinated to think which is hilarious because the are usually the ones calling others stupid or sheep when really they are saying what they fear being the most

"Remember to always do your own research," and similar jargon delivered in the way we often see when observing some forms of information; it's meant to put the mind at ease so it's more susceptible to the suggestions soon to follow. Same with throwing the word 'truth' around. When you're talking to someone or reading studies, about anything, and in general, there's never a need to continuously remind anyone what you're saying is the truth. Then when supporters can be observed parroting, that's how you know you got em. These social media tools are incredibly powerful, those who invented them know exactly what they're capable of, and at times when they go around stamping out some forms of independently produced media, they're not attempting to stop the information from spreading, they simply don't want to be responsible for the worst case scenario doomsday cult, nor do they want to be responsible for the steps that led up to it. In many cases they're not looking at the information, they're looking at the consumers and their reaction. I've been meaning to write an article about that for some time now.

You should write the article. I feel you would be eminently placed to put it out there well.

As soon as I see or hear it, the moment they start swearing its the truth or saying you shouldn't follow their advice wink wink you know they are just full of the brown stuff

They'll say, "The media is manipulating you." Well of course it is. The simple act of publishing, "The media is manipulating you," then having someone read it, is the media manipulating them. In general it's not a bad thing, just common sense. Shortly after though, they introduce the necessary us vs them which helps put the mind at ease, offers a sense of trust and belonging, making the mind more susceptible to the power of suggestion.

It's not hard to see who's being responsible with their influence and who isn't, especially when being an outsider just comes naturally. The problem holding me back from tackling this subject and publishing my thoughts and findings is simple. How do I deliver the message without being what I'm speaking against.
