A slow weekend

A not much going on weekend

It is once again raining. The below picture is from my smart phone, even with the rain we had to get out for at least a short ride.

I am hoping tomorrow will look a little bit like this:

That is also from my smartphone from last Sunday at the restaurant. I hope to be enjoying a nice meatloaf dinner tomorrow since the Fall menu is back. I already had the chicken dinner and it was good.

Other than looking forward to dinner tomorrow, not much else is really going on with me. I've watched a few of the Utopia episodes on Amazon Prime, right now not sure if I will watch season 2 if there is one. I am growing pretty wary of child violence in TV and movies. I think the movie/TV series people have lost their minds and gone overboard on the child violence.

I guess I should just stick to the Zombie movies, I think I have only seen children in the TV series Walking Dead and not in any of the Zombie Movies. Space movies use to be safe and free from child violence but some series Raised by Wolves has pretty much obliterated the non-child violence in them.

So for me this weekend just one of sitting around reading, looking forward to Sunday Dinner, and trying to find some entertaining shows to watch.

Thank you for the reblog I do appreciate it.

You live in a beautiful place bash. I agree with your sentiments regarding media. Out of curiosity have you managed to read the Expanse series yet? It's a space opera of sorts that's good value if one is looking for a well written chunk of junk food fiction. They did a scifi series based on the books and I believe it's available on Amazon. I watched the first season and it seems they did a pretty good job with it. If you're hunting a winter series that's scifi and easy to check out with it's not bad. Pretty post matey. Always a treat to stop by.

I did watch the series on Amazon, it was pretty good I enjoyed it. I have not read the Book Series yet, but may check it out, I actually updated my Kindle computer reader about a month ago to do some on line reading.

I wish you much meat loaf and the best of weather for Sunday! That picture from last weekend...The cloud formations are unusual, all those different types of cloud in the one shot. It sure looks like a nice spot and hopefully you get to have the meal of your choice!

Reading and watching shows is a good way to spend a weekend and I hope you're enjoying it!

So far Sunday is starting off very cloudy again and windy, but I am still thinking meatloaf for dinner. It is really beginning to feel a bit like Fall with the cooler temperatures. So far morning ice only a couple of times but won't be long before it is a daily thing.

What sort of winter temperatures do you get there and roughly for how long?

In October we will see from 20-40F, we are still in the mid 50's for highs so far, and only 2 days of freezing, but it changes rapidly in October. In November we will usually get a week of minus 20F, and temperatures of minus 5f to about 25F. December we will be lucky to have any days at all in the 20F range, mostly plus 10 to minus 15 until mid February, with a second real cold blast of minus 10 to minus 30 for a couple of weeks late Jan. or early Feb.

That's a lot more extreme than the winters we have here for sure. I think it would be cool to go throug a winter like that, but probably only once! Lol.

It will soon be time for me to start my season three of the driveway saga, documenting the winter plow season, we usually get 6 snowfalls that need plowing, the rest are just little annoying snows. Season 3 will kick off sometime in the first week of October, a pre-first snowfall look, if I remember to get the pictures.

Autumn is looking pretty in your area.

I haven’t seen the series you mentioned but I agree that child violence should not be used as part of a show.

I only made it though one episode of Raised by Wolves, I don't mind violence in a movie when it it is part of the story, but there are better ways to go about it than what they did in that first episode of the series.

Thanks @bashadowfor the engage tokens.

I wouldn’t be able to watch it either if violence towards children was part of the episode. There is so much violence on the TV that it gets too commonplace.

I like the zombie blood bath movies, the normal horror blood bath movies, but that Raised by Wolves series first episode you would not like. Child brain washing, murder in front of a ten year old or so boy, total blood spray in space on the ship, then more violence in front of and toward the children, it seemed the whole episode was up the child violence by one notch every 10 minutes to see how much the audience was will to take. I will not be seeing any more episodes, there is nothing any one can tell me or say to me that would cause me to watch another episode.

It seems nothing is sacred anymore. So much violence on TV and movies. I wonder how bad it has to be to get censored?

Beautiful autumn colours! How I need to slow down too!

I would not see any films; more sleep would be my favorite at the moment!

Have a slow and relaxing time!

I never let the TV or movies run into my sleep period either. Sometimes we just need to slow down, take a few naps and re-energize.

Meatloaf! I am so ready for meatloaf! I don't cook stuff like that when the weather is hot to keep from heating the house unnecessarily. Soup and Chili and meatloaf are all waiting for my return.
