Greetings to everyone in the Daily Blog community! Today I'm joining you here to share a little bit of my day. We didn't have school this Monday due to the sanctification of José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles. The 20th was declared a holiday. So, because of this, I decided to take this Tuesday to make up for the missed class, since we'll soon have the exhibition in honor of Miguel Otero, and it will be necessary to find as much time as possible so the children can create their own creations without so much pressure and with as much love as possible.
I must admit that it's been a long time since I picked up a pencil or a paintbrush to paint anything. One of the reasons is that I didn't feel the need to paint or draw physically, as I prefer to do it on my phone (although I haven't done that in a long time). Another reason is that I had focused on dentistry, and I also enjoyed that, so I dedicated time and love to that area. Finally, the kids have motivated me to paint and draw again, so I decided to buy some things I needed since I didn't have much to work with.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Daily Blog! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un poco de lo que fue mi dia de hoy. Este lunes no tuvimos clases e el colegio por motivo de la santificación de José Gregorio Hernández y la Madre Carmen Rendiles. Este 20 se nombró feriado. Así que debido a ello, decidí tomar este martes para retomar la clase faltante ya que pronto tendremos la exposición en honor a Miguel Otero y será necesario reunir todo el tiempo posible para que los niños puedan hacer su propia creación sin tanta presión y con todo el cariño que se pueda.
Debo reconocer que desde hace mucho tiempo yo no tomaba una lápiz o un pincel para pintar nada. Uno de los motivos, es que no sentía la necesidad de pintar o dibujar en físico, pues me gusta más hacerlo en mi teléfono (aunque tampoco había hecho eso en mucho tiempo). Otro motivo es que me había enfocado en la odontología y eso también me gustaba, por lo que dedique tiempo y cariño a esa área. Finalmente, los niños me han motivado a pintar y dibujar nuevamente, por lo que decidí comprar algunas cosas que me hacían falta pues no tenía mucho con que trabajar.
With some savings, I decided to buy acrylic paint, some brushes, scissors, and other materials I found useful for the kids, like the color palettes, which I can see could be cool for them. So, with a few more things, I took advantage of the opportunity to work on the painting for reference and display. I used a palette of red, yellow, blue, white, and black. I tried to stick to blue and not experiment too much with it, but old habits die hard. Even though I haven't painted for a long time, I always go back to how I painted when I was 19 or 20. My teacher did a lot of exercises with complementary colors, and I've recorded that. It's almost mechanical, although sometimes I wish I did it differently. By the way, my cat Pepito was present during the painting. I enjoy his sweet company because he always finds a way to make me feel comfortable, and his purring relaxes me. Con unos ahorros, decidí comprar pintura acrílica, algunos pinceles, tijeras y otros materiales que encontré útiles para los niños. Cómo las paletitas de colores, que ya veo puede ser chevere para ellos. Así que con algunas cosas más, aproveche a trabajar en la pintura para la referencia y la exposición. Utilicé una paleta de rojo, amarillo, azul, blanco y negro. Intenté irme por el azul y no experimentar mucho con ello, pero los viejos habitos no se pierden pues aunque tengo mucho tiempo sin pintar, siempre vuelvo a cómo pintaba cuando tenía unos 19 o 20 años. Mi profesor hacia muchos ejercicios con colores complementarios y tengo eso grabado. Es casi mecánico, aunque a veces quisiera hacerlo diferente. Por cierto, mi gato Pepito estuve presente en el trabajo pictórico. Me gusta su dulce compañía pues siempre encuentra la forma de hacerme sentir a gusto y su ronroneo me relaja.
