August is over, time to calculate earnings! It's been a long month. I started to talk with people about HIVE in real life, wrote a manual customized for those I want to onboard, and step by step I'm getting clearer on where I want to go with all this. There are still many ideas floating in my head.

I made a lot more contacts on hive, gained quite a few followers, and started following others. I read and read and read, even on vacation through the amazing keychain app, commented a lot and got into @meno 's Snap-App, which is a lot of fun. It's been 7 months spreading out from SPL-Hive to the "real" HIVE blogging, and the effects of consistency are starting to show in my network - and fun. And thoughts. This has been very positive to me so far, and I hope that others will have the same experience.
HIVE
I started to collect my monthly data now, so I can make nice graphs and such, as I still haven't found a great page that does all that for me. There's not much to show yet, but next month I will include some.
| HIVE | June | July | August |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginning | 2852 | 3527 | 4237 |
| End | 3527 | 4089 | 4810 |
| Change | 675 | 562 | 573 |
| Power-Up | 140,5 | 143,25 | |
| Growth | 24% | 20% | 17% |
| Earnings | 1006 | 1124 | 1146 |
| HIVE Price | $0,20 | $0,22 | $0,20 |
| Total | $196,17 | $243,91 | $225,76 |
I'm pretty happy with the ongoing growth, though it is slowing down. I've been writing almost every day at least one post, but again, I wrote less on Splinterlands.

As you can see, I got 2 big votes this time for articles - on Splinterlands. Those still bring the most rewards overall, so if I was reward-oriented, I'd be participating in the challenges all the time. But it's less fun, to be honest.

My organic HP growth went from 4237 HP after the last #hpud to 4810 HP as I write this post, so 573 HP earned, 11 more than in July. Maybe it's that one day? That means, even after powering up, it's obvious that my growth is slowing down, from 20% in July to 17% in August. Still good, and the bigger my account gets, the harder it is to grow organically.

There's the PU. Since just today the price for HIVE got smacked, I didn't not make as much USD-Equivalent in August as I did in July, where it was $243.91 at a price of around $0,217/HIVE. This time, it was "only" $225.76 at a price of $0.197/HIVE. Considering the time I spent on the blog, it probably comes down to around $2.5/h, which is the unofficial minimum wage here in #ecuador. And that is without counting all the metaphysical profit I make.

Since I spend a lot of time curating, those rewards are growing steadily. AS you can see, there are more and more days that I make more than 1 HIVE just through curating. No, it's not a big part, around 8% of my HIVE earnings, but I'll repeat - this is all while having fun.
Network
I found quite a few awesome writers. While most of my conversations are still with GalenKP, Azircon and the notorious @holoz0r, @meno has snuck his way up to 4th position of my outgoing votes, mainly because we're in touch a lot about my project to on board my whole town through the transactional use of HBD, which he inspired.

There are some that I missed last month, which I now see as I compare the two stats. I should make more reading lists, so I don't miss so many great posts. My favorite of the new ones on the list is @riverflows . If you haven't, check out her blog - maybe you'll find it as interesting as I.
Overall, I like that my network is growing, and that I'm getting more and more engagement on my posts. Natural engagement, without enabling comment rewards. And productive engagement, with sometimes many interesting thoughts and discussions evolving.
Conclusion
It's going really well, though I'm not sure if I can make it to my goal of 7,500 HP by the end of 2025 organically with only powering up 25% of the HBD part - maybe I'll have to do more. I'm happy with how things are developing, and wanted to share that in separate post. Every day I learn a little more about how the blockchain works, how the rewards works, and with that how the community works. That starts to have some real influence on how I experiment community in real life as well, how I think it and even the way I contribute.
The money part is nice, but I don't plan on taking any of that out ever, so it's just a fun number on a screen. That part is still more of a game to me, though that might change if I really pull off the part of having people pay for my bread with HBD. Though that might not be with this account, but the business account. On which I have to start working...
Big plans, little time!
How was your month? How is your network doing? And are you happy with your overall growth on HIVE?
Please feel free to engage in any original way, including dropping links to your posts on similar topics. I'm happy to read (and curate) any quality content that is not created by LLM/AI, as well as read your own experience and point of view, I love to learn!
Former posts:
Awwww shucks, thanks ever so much. You are one of my new favourites too
It is a real pleasure! I'm very happy that you commented on that post on Education a while back 🙃
You have holoz0r to thank... He sent me your article on Discord...
Oh no, another thing I have to thank him for.. 😅
Ha he's a good bloke!
Why am I notorious? :D Interesting word!
Because you're everywhere and comment threads with you tend to escalate into very dark humor region quite quickly. And thanks for sending riverflow my way! I wasn't quite sure if it was you who did me that favor, but she just confirmed 🙃
We will make our own crop circles
And riddled comments like that, too.
Suerte!
Gracias bro, por la respuesta.
Con gusto! Que te vaya bien :-)
Congratulations on everything you have achieved, it is very good, and the hard work is seen. :)
Thank you! I love being able to achieve things like that while having fun.
Starkes Wachstum, weiter so! :)
My month on Hive went well. I earned about 650 HBD without doing anything. I earned a couple of $ on posting, but I spent all that money on gifts. Today on Hive-Engine I earned 5 USDT, probably 20 USDT will be there for the month.
Hopefully the biggest returns from Hive are yet to come.
I hope so! How do you earn USDT on the Hive chain? I only know that feature on Binance.
I traded second-level tokens on Hive-Engine.
Oh okay. I thought there was some kind of earnings system in place for USDT on HIVE.
Oh wow, just saw that you sent me a gift! Thank you so much!
Been doing the same for me, starting to focus more time on the "real" blogging on Hive and have been enjoying it a lot.
How did you get the "hive power" chart that shows the increments every two days? I can only see the one that shows it month-to-month.
It's in the analysis board of PeakD for me.
https://peakd.com/me/analytics
If you click on that, it should show up for your won page :-)
It's interesting because I have that but mine only shows the monthly increments instead of every two days like yours.
That is really weird. Maybe there is some setting for that... You could ask in the discord group, they usually reply quite quickly. Or maybe @thekittygirl has an idea?
I do not know with certainty. My best guess, however, is that the display of the graph is dependent on how many "ups-and-downs" there were during the recent past. @unitmaster's, for instance, shows a more consistent, steady graph with one big surge of growth. But, @beelzael's shows more sporadic "up-down-up-down" movement.
I've been here for eight years, but my graph shows monthly values for only the past four months! I suppose digging through eight years of data would be a bit more time-consuming on the analytics engine. 😂 Mine also shows "slow, steady growth" with no rollercoaster ride, so one-month increments for me, too.
Wuuuhiiii I'm on a rollercoaster! Only up, though, which is cool. I hope it stays that way... But it's good to be tracking everything with excel, too if one wants the stats 😅
You're a wild animal 🐯 😁
Got it, thanks for sharing your graph too and thanks for the info.
