Cool sunset image

P2180070.JPG

I'm a pretty average photographer but that doesn't stop me from having a crack and enjoying some of the images I capture.

I take photos of all sorts of things but often combine my beach walks with photography and you can see one shot above which I think it kind of cool. It was taken at a beach called Semaphore in South Australia on what was particularly nice night.

Have you got a cool sunset image you're willing to show in the comments below? Go ahead if you like, explain where it is

That's an extra 'goodun' Everything centered and framed up just right. Perfecto! I don't know how you do it 😃

Tha ky out, I caught that couple in the image, they'd stopped for a few minutes and I figured it'd make a good shot. I got lucky I guess.

The evening I arrived in Mexico last month. We hadn't seen the sun in Ireland for such a long while that a couple of my friends asked me to send them a picture of it.

The first thing I thought was, that's not Ireland. I guess you're used to not seeing it but I feel it would start to get depressing after a while. I mean, summer here is all sun and heat all the time and that wears thin, but not seeing the sun for ages would be difficult. Thanks for sharing, I hope this image did the trick for your friends.

Last year, we had 9 weeks in a row of thick cloud with not even a ray of sun shine. I think people were beginning to lose their minds. Everywhere I went it was the sole topic of conversation, shops, cafes and even on the radio when I was on the bus. I rarely give into depression but even I was beginning to break.

Yep, that'll do it I reckon; must be shite and I think I'd be a little loopy as well. *Loopier.

Looks good, where was this taken?

Tuscany, near Livorno

I've used this one in a number of posts before, but it's one of a few cool sunset images I got when my wife and I were camping in Cadillac Michigan last August. Hopefully it shows up with all the funkiness Hive has been experiencing lately.

Pretty good, nice colours and interesting cloud formation.

Thank you! We are heading back there again this coming summer. It's not really remote wilderness, but it is one of our favorite state parks.

I like these sunset photos so much. This one you shared with us is great 😍
Here's the first one from my gallery that apears when I type word "sunset".

Location: Nile, Luxor, Egypt 📍

Some friends of mine just came back from Egypt (holiday) a couple months ago. They loved it. Nice shot this one!

Thank youuu. It really is. A little chaotic at the beggining but it doesn't matter, u quickly get used to it. 🤗

From my home, in Maracaibo, Venezuela I share this photograph, taken a couple of days ago.

That's a lot of buildings, it must feel like a concrete jungle sometimes. Nice sunset though.

That's right Galenkp, my city is very concrete in this part where I live in the northern area of Maracaibo. For some reason they call it, the land of the beloved sun.

The land of the beloved sum seems like a nice name, better than others it could be called I guess.

Sometimes I pick a winner. Not just from my nose. Took these a couple hours ago. Wish I would have cleaned the boogers outta her eyes first...

Eye boogers are acceptable, it's a cat thing.

I forgot to say we were hiding in the shade from the Sunrise as It was nice and cool in the shade of that pickup truck. Hangin outside the repair shop while they were doing warranty work on the new Prime Mover.

Sometimes breaks like that are the best, just hanging around waiting; sort of forces one to slow down.

I get that. Like when your out on business. You take in a nice restraunt or a walk about.

It is a step away and a bit of a break. I just wish it were more like that hilltop with some crosshairs.

That would be the best escape EVER! !

Loved that guy. Lost a good one there RIP Steve.

Do you really think I could ever get rid of my Pennsyl-Tucky Hillbilly Tongue or Shoez?

I narrated this video. So You tell me...

Oh, great, now I have to choose. One of my absolute favorites is my profile picture here, Lily skating in front of the sunset. And then there are the ones taken in Germany, which I already highlighted in a whole post. So, let's go with one from today:

IMG_20260401_182129896_HDR.jpg

It's taken from my rooftop. I was sitting at my computer when I looked outside and saw parts of the colors in the sky, so I decided to get up there to see if something more was waiting for me. And it was. Spectacular colors all within and over and below and all around the clouds. I watched them fade for 5minutes, then went for a walk and kept watching the colors change. It was beautiful.

I like that shot, sort of storm clouds contrasting with the colours of the sun.

The sun was on the other side of the sky, so to speak. It was just a reflection of the light in the clouds. The intensity surprised me a lot, I hadn't expected that it could be so bright.

I think you can upgrade your description to "halfway decent" or "enthusiastic amateur" by now.

You reckon? What if the jokes get worse?

That was just your photography skills. And the jokes getting worse depends on whether they're bad jokes or not in which case if they're worse does that mean they're better? :D

That's a nice capture, perfect for a photo frame.

Glad I have something to share from Aba, Nigeria. First time capturing a stunning sunset like this.

Nice colours there, is that an everyday thing or depending upon the amount of dust/smoke/smog particles in the atmosphere?

Thanks! Not at all. The photo was taken in January, which is usually the harmattan season here. So, I'm guessing the colours are probably due to the harmattan. Dust particles in the atmosphere can create those nice colors.

Interesting right?

Yeah, just nature doing its thing and it was a beautiful sight to behold. In fact, witnessing that it made my evening.
