When I was still a teenager, I used to think that people who are in their twenties are "so old". I mean of course I would think that because being a young person I had my own notions about how I see the world. Now that I am in my twenties (I do not feel old by the way LOL), what I would consider as "old people" are those in their sixties or seventies-- because they really are lol. It is funny how we humans keep on changing year after year after year. As we mature in life, so do our perspectives. We see life differently depending on our own experiences and how the environment has shaped us. Last June I celebrated my twenty-seventh existence on Earth. My heart swelled with so much love and joy that it spilled onto paper and thus I was able to write these things. I do not claim to be wise because I have so, so much more to learn about this life. I am not naive either. All I can say is that I am a whole lot better now compared to my teen self-- OF COURSE-- and a bit better than when I reached twenty. All the parts of me and all the versions that I had-- they are a part of who I am and why I have learned many things in my lifetime so far.
Here are my twenty-seven realizations at twenty-seven. Both the captions and the photos are mine:
Not everyone knows this but here goes: I used to write Tagalog teenage life novels in high school. My classmates would read them and I enjoyed writing because they keep on asking for more chapters, intrigued on what happens to the characters. I was never a reader before because no one has really encouraged me and also we did not have books and resources at home. That is why I often wonder how come I wrote those novels. I guess I had amazing imagination back then lol. That was the reason I started to write: because I think of amazing things that can happen to my life and so I wrote novels to pour my teen hopes and imaginations onto pages and try to bring them to life.
I started to blog in 2014 because my sister and my best friend blogged. I also wanted to write because it has been a long time that I did not write anything at all. That blog became an outlet for me to express myself. Now, when I read some of my blog posts when I first started blogging, I laugh at how childish and immature I sounded like. And I also laughed at me being able to now differentiate how a mature person talks versus how an immature one does. (But do not get me, I can also be immature even now. But I try my best to tweak that.)
This year, 2021, I wanted to go back to writing. I have been caught with teaching and working and teaching. So I prayed that I would go back to blogging again. But I needed motivation to really convince me to go back to the blogosphere.
Hive is an answered prayer. Not only do I have an outlet of expression as I bleed my thoughts on my blog posts, but I also get to earn money as I do so.

In a short month, I am blessed to have met so many awesome people here in Hive! The support from the communities is overwhelming, too. GRABE~! I am grateful for everyone's presence and kindness! Thank you so much for guiding me and my sister about the ins-and-outs of Hive. Thank you for your giving us an amount of your precious time in order to teach us the basics as to how Hive works. Special shout-out to Miss Gil (who's very generous), Kim and Gail for being our guide! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I tried to see whether I could "actually" withdraw my Hive earnings. Just to see. And I did! Yay!! I was able to withdraw 1,500 PHP for my first five posts. Wow. Just. WOW. It is truly awesome that I get to earn as I blog! So I told my friends who has passion for writing, about Hive. They would also love to join. But I have yet to meet them and share my Hive journey in detail so that they'd be more convinced to start ASAP hehe.
I am so excited to grow personally and professionally here in Hive. I am thrilled for what's ahead. Yay!
