TGIF came quite early for me.
This day was a mini work-free day. I spent most of the day in relaxation. No complaints though, I have been taking a rough path since the beginning of this year while refusing to take the comfortable ones. But today, I got myself in the mood for relaxation.
To crown it all, I also took some time off to go shopping and restock my foodstuffs. That brings me to today's edition of #marketfriday.
Mine was interesting. I got to visit the fruit market again.
The bunch of bananas I bought is not fit for purpose. I was drawn to it because it came in large size, but surprisingly, the taste was rather disappointing. Aside from the taste, the edible part of the banana turned out to be too tiny. Haha. I would stick to buying the yellowish species.
Beside the banana seller, another lady was selling African star apple
Also know as 'Udara', in my native dialect.
My sister loves these so much. I also enjoyed it when I was younger, but at this stage, I'm getting fond of other fruits. Dunno why 🤷
Aside from fruits, I also bought these;
A sachet of Milk (Tea)
2 loaves of HOT bread
3 sachet of wafer biscuit.
A carton of noodles (not in the picture)
Other food items.
That should be all.
The highlight of this day is that I got to cook pasta this night. Haha. It's been a while since I cooked something.
Do have a nice weekend ahead ✌️
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

You are on Blurt also? They used to frown upon using the same post unless they have changed.
It is a great market! The fruits look awesome and were those oranges that I am looking at? Did you find the prices of these fruits and other things you bought to be expensive or of the regular price? You actually never told us where this is!
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through by their markets, especially local markets and farmers markets and eventually branching out and evolving over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:
Take pictures! Be creative!
5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
Upped and reposted
Hello @dswigle, thanks for coming around. Yeah, I'm on Blurt and they don't mind the crosspost as far as I'm the one that originally owns the crossposted work. Hehe
Oppps... The second paragraph of your comment comes with quite a lot of eye-opener. The thing is, most of my contents are about my lifestyle, my environment, my day to day actives. Hehe. I take it that many of my followers already know that I live in Ibadan, Nigeria but it skipped my mind that I can actually get new people coming to see my stuff and they may like to get that information. I would fit that into my subsequent related contents.
The price has moved up. We are facing an endless Inflationary pressure over here which makes price of stuff to always fluctuate. As for the fruit, those are African Cherries also called Udara in my native dialect.
I see that I didn't follow one of the rules of #marketfriday. Hehe. I would do that in my subsequent posts to the community ✌️.
They changed. They told me i couldnt! So, I quit.
Wow you've had a great time in the market, I hope you left my portion of the paste!🤔.
Can you tell me more about the other places you post.
Hahah... No be small thing. The pasta is still here ooo and it's hot. Lol
Not many places. The other place I post stuff is attached to the bottom of this post. It's just like Hive. Hehe
A carton of Noddles?🤔
Mr bachelor 🤩, it's obvious you and food dey quarrel atimes 🤣
Lol... No be small thing oooo.
The one I bought in October just finished this week so, I had to restock my indomie. Haha.
Happy Weekend to you and everyone over there
I agree with "sticking to yellow banana" than to the green ones! I always don't like the tast of those ones haha. Glad you took the time of relaxing though. Its better to take a full rest too. Enjoy your day!😊
Yeah... The green one was actually 'Big for Nothing'. Lol. I didn't enjoy the taste. To crown it all, I ended up having lots of garbage at home due to the banana. Haha.
Happy Weekend
Haha well you can still try to make something out of it. I sometimes mix banana with egg for breakfast but I smash first the banana then mix it with egg. Looks and taste like pancake, for a sweeter taste u can put sugar after. 😄 Happy weekend too.
Lol... All these steps? Hahah. It's a complex method 😂😂.
Your recipe is a rare one and I seems like an adventurous food cooking style. Hehe.
After adding sugar, can I also add milk? 😂😂. I'm curious
Haha i know right. Its rare and weird sometimes. The sugar is really not necessary if the banana is already sweet or riped though. That works for yellow ones very much. Milk is okay if you'll gonna eat that for breakfast 😆😅
Glad you took a break and got to cook yourself something 😁
Yeah, it's always nice to take these breaks. Hehe.
It was fun and enjoyable.
