Greetings hivers. Today I bring you many news with the case of Dylan, the dog I rescued from the street more than a month ago. Those who have followed his recovery through my posts know that our next step is to get him a temporary home until all his hair grows out and thus be able to take photos of him when he is fully recovered and start getting him a permanent home since unfortunately most of the people don't like to adopt a dog or cat if it doesn't look good 😒☹️ something that seems ridiculous and stupid to me, but oh well 🤷🏻♀️.
Yo hablé y le pregunté a varias personas y otras quedaron en ayudarme pero no conseguimos ningún lugar donde tenerlo, estaba muy preocupada y ya sin saber a quien más decirle, hasta que la noche anterior al plazo que nos habían dado en la clínica veterinaria, Manuel (el amigo que estuvo a cargo de los gastos médicos de Dylan), me escribió para decirme que ya había conseguido un lugar donde podríamos tener a Dylan 😃.
I talked and asked several people and others agreed to help me but we couldn't find anywhere to have him, I was very worried and didn't know who else to ask, until the night before the deadline they had given us at the veterinary clinic, Manuel (the friend who was in charge of Dylan's medical expenses), wrote to me to tell me that he had already found a place where we could have Dylan 😃.
El lugar es una casa que queda a una cuadra de mi edificio y a pocos metros del negocio de Manuel, o sea que más perfecto no podría ser jejeje. En esa casa vive una señora que por motivos de salud se está quedando temporalmente en Caracas (la capital) y mientras tanto, le ha dejado las llaves a un amigo de Manuel para que la cuide y esté pendiente de limpiar y todo eso. El muchacho vive frente a esa casa así que todo se hace más sencillo.
The place is a house that is one block from my building and a few meters from Manuel's business, so it couldn't be more perfect hehehe. In that house lives a woman who, for health reasons, is temporarily staying in Caracas (the capital) and in the meantime, she has left the keys with a friend of Manuel's so that he can take care of the house and keep an eye on the cleaning and all that. The guy lives in front of that house so everything becomes easier.
Al día siguiente me fuí temprano a la clínica veterinaria para bañar a Dylan y así llevarlo bien limpiecito a su nuevo hogar, todos se alegraron con la noticia de que conseguimos un lugar donde tenerlo. Ya Manuel había hablado con el muchacho y su mamá y les había notificado que yo lo llevaría al día siguiente y que los estaría llamando cuando estuviese cerca de la casa con el perro.
The next day I went early to the veterinary clinic to bathe Dylan and take him very clean to his new home. Everyone was happy with the news that we found a place to keep him. Manuel had already spoken with the guy and his mother and had notified them that I would take him the next day and that I would be calling them when I was near the house with the dog.
Después de bañar a Dylan, dejé que se secara bien y le dieron comida. No hay transporte público que pase por la clínica veterinaria hasta el centro así que mi plan era irme caminando y llevarme a Dylan cargado 🥴🥵 porque él no sabe caminar con collar 🐕🦺 ☹️. Mientras esperaba que fuese la hora que había acordado para llevarlo a su nueva casa, llegó una pareja mayor que había conocido hace unos días mientras tuve a mi gata enferma y ellos a su perrita hospitalizada, la cual lamentablemente tuvieron que sacrificar ya que ni el tratamiento ni la transfusión sanguínea funcionaron, era bastante viejita y tenía varios padecimientos crónicos 😥.
After giving Dylan a bath, I let him dry well and gave him food. There is no public transportation that passes by the veterinary clinic to the center of the Town so my plan was to walk and carry Dylan 🥴🥵 because he doesn't know how to walk with a collar 🐕🦺 ☹️. While I was waiting for the time I had agreed to take him to his new house, a couple arrived, I had met them a few days ago while I had my cat sick and they had their dog hospitalized, which unfortunately they had to put down since neither the treatment nor blood transfusion worked, she was quite old and had several chronic conditions 😥.
Ellos habían venido a saludar a los doctores, y como tienen auto, se me ocurrió pedirles si me podían dar la cola hasta el centro que iba a llevar al perro a su nueva casa y me dijeron que por supuesto, que con mucho gusto 😊. Los astros estaban alineados a nuestro favor jejeje, me dejaron donde les dije y desde allí llamé a la casa del muchacho y la mamá me dijo que lo esperara que ya él iba a bajar. Aunque no había tenido trato con ellos, los conozco de vista porque también son proteccionistas y siempre ayudan a los animales.
They had come to greet the vets. Since they have a car, it occurred to me to ask them if they could take me to the center of the town because I was going to take the dog to his new home and they told me of course, they would be happy to 😊. The stars were aligned in our favor hehehe, they left me where I told them and from there I called the guy's house and his mother told me to wait for him. Although I hadn't had dealings with them, I know them by sight because they are also protectionists and always help animals.
El nuevo hogar de Dylan es una casa vieja bastante espaciosa que tiene un patio interno con techo y un pequeño patio externo. Cuando llegamos exploró el lugar, comió, tomó agua y mientras yo hablaba en el patio con Antonio, el muchacho que cuida la casa, cuando me volteé, Dylan se había montado en el sofá y estaba sentado ahí de lo más tranquilo jajaja. Que atrevido 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️.
Dylan's new home is a fairly spacious old house that has an internal patio with a roof and a small external patio. When we arrived he explored the place, ate, drank water and while I was talking in the yard with Antonio, the guy who looks after the house, when I turned around, Dylan had gotten on the couch and was sitting there pleasantly hahaha. How daring 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️.
Antonio me dijo que no le había dicho nada sobre el perro a la señora que vive ahí jajaja y que para evitar que los vecinos le fueran a chismear lo mejor sería que yo sólo fuese a visitar al perro una o dos veces a la semana, algo que me pareció perfecto porque no quería ocasionar ningún problema.
Antonio told me that he hadn't said anything about the dog to the lady who lives there hahaha and that to prevent the neighbors from gossiping about him it would be better if I only went to visit the dog once or twice a week, something that it seemed perfect to me because I didn't want to cause any problems.
Esta semana Dylan va a cumplir un mes en su nuevo hogar, se ha adaptado y se porta muy bien, su oreja ya está totalmente curada, su pelaje ha mejorado mucho y ha subido de peso. Yo lo visito una vez a la semana y cada vez que llego y me ve se pone muy feliz, empieza a dar pequeños saltos, a correr a mi alrededor y a mover la cola ☺️.
This week Dylan will be a month old in his new home, he has adapted and behaves very well, his ear is now completely healed, his hair has improved a lot and he has gained weight. I visit him once a week and every time I arrive and he sees me he gets very happy, he starts doing little jumps, running around me and wagging his tail ☺️.
Si bien Antonio va dos o tres veces al día a ponerle comida, cambiarle el agua y limpiar, hay días que se suele quedar un poquito más para acompañar a Dylan ya que la mayor parte del día está sólo 😕.
Although Antonio goes two or three times a day to feed, change the water and clean, there are days when he usually stays a little longer to accompany Dylan since most of the day he's alone 😕.
El sábado, yo iba a ir a visitar a Dylan, estando en la calle, me encuentro a Antonio y me dijo que había llegado la señora de la casa y que era mejor que no fuese ese día. Le pregunté sobre la reacción que tuvo la señora al ver al perro y me dijo que aunque se sorprendió cuando abrió la puerta y lo vio en la casa, no le molestó jajaja, ah bueno, menos mal 😁.
On Saturday, I was going to visit Dylan, while I was on the street, I met Antonio and he told me that the lady of the house had arrived and that it was better to go other day. I asked him about the reaction the lady had when she saw the dog and she told me that although she was surprised when she opened the door and saw him in the house, it didn't bother her hahaha, ah well, thank goodness 😁.
El domingo conocí a la señora Gloria, es un amor de persona, le gustan mucho los animales y Dylan se ha encariñado con ella, me dice que la acompaña a la cocina y se sienta con ella cuando va a comer y que también se acuesta a su lado en el sofá. El lunes fui a bañar a Dylan y ayer le llevé una sopa de pollo y arroz que le preparé, aunque él tiene su perrarina, pero como la señora Gloria lo está consintiendo y le da pan, arepa y de la comida que ella prepara, ahora Dylan quiere estar comiendo eso más que la perrarina 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤷🏻♀️.
On Sunday I met Mrs. Gloria, she is a sweet person, she loves animals and Dylan has become attached to her, she tells me that he accompanies her to the kitchen and sits with her when she has breakfast, lunch and dinner and that he also sits by her side on the couch. On Monday I went to bathe Dylan and yesterday I brought him a chicken and rice soup that I prepared for him, although he has his dog food, but since Mrs. Gloria is pampering him and gives him bread, arepa and the food that she prepares, now Dylan wants to be eating that more than the dog food 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤷🏻♀️.
Bueno amigos, la señora Gloria se regresa hoy para Caracas pero no sabe cuando vuelve a venir a quedarse unos días, se que Dylan la extrañará mucho porque se llevó muy bien con ella 🥺, él es un perro muy tranquilo y le gusta la compañía de las personas, ojalá logremos conseguir un buen hogar para él, mientras tanto seguirá viviendo en esa casa. Gracias a todos los que han estado pendientes de la recuperación de Dylan y gracias a todos por leer mi publicación.
Well friends, Mrs. Gloria is returning to Caracas today but she doesn't know when she will come back to stay for a few days, I know that Dylan will miss her a lot because he got along very well with her 🥺, he is a very calm dog and he likes the company of people, I hope we manage to find a good home for him, in the meantime he will continue living in that house. Hola, bueno, la señora Gloria se está haciendo un tratamiento de quimioterapia en Caracas y tiene que estar allá porque ahí le dan la medicina de manera gratuita y se está quedando con una hermana, su hermano y otros familiares también viven en Caracas, su esposo murió hace unos años al igual que sus dos hijos así que mientras tanto es mejor que esté allá.
Ya veremos si logramos convencerla cuando regrese a quedarse jajaja pero me dijo que después que se le murió su último perrito sufrió mucho cuando este se enfermó y al final lo tuvo que sacrificar y desde entonces no quiso tener otro porque lloró mucho y se puso muy triste.
Pero bueno, a lo mejor Dylan logra que vuelva a abrirle su corazón a un perrito 🥰

Σε ευχαριστώ πολύ, ναι, έχει καλυτερέψει και βεβαίως με την βοήθεια όλων μας, μόνος σου είναι πολύ δύσκολα να τα καταφέρεις, κάθε ένας έχει βοηθήσει με ότι μπορεί.
😂😂😂 και εμένα θα μου είχε αρέσει να δω το πρόσωπο της όταν άνοιξε την πόρτα και είδε ένα σκύλο 🤭🤭🤭 ευτυχώς είναι καλή κυρία και τις αρέσουν τα ζώα γιατί αλλιώς άμα ήταν καμία στρίγγλα θα μας είχε πάρει με τα ρόπαλα 😬🤣🤣🤣 και όχι ότι μας πειράζει αλλά το κακόμοιρο το σκυλί τι φταίει να το πετάξουν στο δρόμο.
Η κυρία μου είπε ότι μπορούμε να το έχουμε εκεί μέχρι να του βρούμε σπίτι, πού ξέρεις, μπορεί στο τέλος να το κρατήσει αυτή χεχεχε, άμα ξαναγυρίσει για να μείνει μόνιμα γιατί η οικογένεια της, (αδέρφια και άλλοι) μένουν στο Καράκας, ο άντρας της έχει πεθάνει και είχε δύο γιους, ο ένας έχει εξαφανιστεί από νέος και δεν ξέρει άμα ζη η όχι και ο άλλος πέθανε πριν λίγα χρόνια.
Πω πω, τραγική ιστορία. Να χάνεις δύο γιους, πρέπει να πέρασε πολύ δύσκολα. Αν γυρίσει πάντως, είμαι σίγουρος ότι ο Dylan θα είναι εξαιρετική παρέα :)
Ναι, πραγματικά είναι μια τραγική ιστορία, δεν ξέρω άμα έχει εγγόνια, σίγουρα θα έχει.
Μιλώντας μαζί της μου είπε ότι όταν ζούσε ο άντρας της είχε ένα σκυλάκι που το είχε μαζέψει από το δρόμο και ο άντρας της του μαγείρευε και το βράδυ κοιμότανε μαζί τους στα πόδια χεχεχε, όταν ο άντρας της αρρώστησε το σκυλί καθότανε πάντα δίπλα του και του έκανε συντροφιά. Όταν ο άντρας της πέθανε, το σκυλί κοιμότανε στο μαξιλάρι του δίπλα της 🥺. Το σκυλί έζησε μέχρι γέρικο μέχρι που αρρώστησε, η κυρία μου είπε ότι αναγκάστηκε να το κοιμίσει διότι υπέφερε πολύ. Αυτό την στενοχώρησε τόσο πολύ που είπε ότι δεν ήθελε να έχει άλλο σκυλί ☹️😢 . Όμως είδα πως πρόσεχε τον Dylan τις μέρες που έκατσε ☺️ και μακάρι άμα γυρίσει να τον κρατήσει, είναι δύο ψυχές που ψάχνουν συντροφιά και φιλία 🥰🤗 σίγουρα θα είναι μια εξαιρετική παρέα για αυτήν 😊.

Ultimamente por las redes sociales he visto muchos casos de perritos mas que todo abandonados y que son rescatados, para luego ser adoptados, deberian de saber quienes los abandonen paguen con servicio comunitarios, para que va a querer un perro para luego abandonarlos, es preferible no tenerlos.
Si, así es, si no pueden cumplir con esa responsabilidad pues que no adopten, lamentablemente hay mucho abandono de mascotas, no solo en Venezuela sino en todo el mundo, muchas personas no toman la adopción de un perro o un gato con la seriedad que requiere, ellos son seres vivos y como tal tienen sus necesidades, comida, vacunación, cuidados, esparcimiento, resguardo, cariño y atenciones, no son juguetes ni tampoco son desechables, una vez que adoptas es para toda la vida, son parte de nuestras familias. En muchos países el abandono está penalizado, en Venezuela se han logrado grandes avances en materia legal para denunciar y penalizar el abandono, maltrato y asesinato de animales, aunque aún es visto como falta, estamos luchando con la recolección de firmas para que pase a ser considerado delito y las penas sean de mayor peso, incluidas multas y varios años de cárcel para quienes maltraten a un animal. Esperemos que pronto se logre ese gran avance 👊
