"Men don't fall in love" Kynle argued. Ali looked at him and smiled "I disagree, men fall in love. And when they do fall in love, they fall the hardest".
Kynle laughed, he didn't believe in the silly notions of men falling in love. Men are strong creatures. Yes, they love a woman's beauty but that was all. It was the women who need men and they are the ones who fall in love. Kunle was still arguing about his beliefs, when he turned his head and met the eyes of a beautiful lady. His mind froze and became blank as he stare into her beautiful yet stormy eyes.
"Gentlemen, excuse me, I will be right back" Kynle stood up and walked towards the lady. His friends laughed when they saw the direction he was headed, they were no strangers to his acts.
Kynle got to know her name was Ceece, and he thought it was the most beautiful name he had ever heard. The two became friends and as time goes on became lovers. Kynle knew he cared about Ceece in a way he never care for any other woman before, he adores everything about her and never wanted to part with her.
Six months into their relationship, his world came crashing down. It all started with the word "Am sorry Kynle, am breaking up with you".
He thought he didn't hear her clearly, he called back and discovered that he did hear her correctly, he was now a single man. If it was a long time ago, he would have celebrated his freedom but now he felt his heart break into pieces and a hole now stood proudly where the heart once was. For the first time in his life, he realized that he had fallen in love with a woman.
He called his friend Ali and cried like a baby. Ali came and comforted him, his heart broke when he saw the condition of his friend. " I wanted him to fall in love but now I wish he didn't " he felt so guilty.
That night Kynle couldn't sleep, he watched the street from his balcony and saw two lovers kissing and hugging each other. He remembered there was once a time that he was a carefree playboy, a time when he was the one breaking heart while he was always intact, however, that memory seems so distant and felt like an illusion, because he was now under the shackles of love.

This is a great heart of a story and I hope you take time to develop it.
Right now, for me, it 'tells' the story instead of having the characters reveal it by what they say and do.
This makes for a less immersive story than may be expected for a tale of the utter devastation first love brings.
Thanks for sharing, I hope to see further drafts.

You are right, creative writing is not my thing, I love reading it but putting it together is another thing. I hope to develop myself this year, hopefully, i will learn how to develop characters instead of telling the story

We all start somewhere, and most of us begin by telling the story as we 'see' it, and take time to work out how to tell it for the reader to 'see'.

Soooo sad! Sometimes our words come back to us as a slap to our ideologies. He didn’t believe but the time proved that he was wrong.
I wonder why that lady broke with him. Did he do anything wrong that pulled her away or was she implanted on him just to prove him wrong 🤔
If I told you I thought this story up spontaneously and don't know the answer to your question would you believe me 😂😂? Stuart is right, I need to work on my character development but I think the answer will be "she's not the type that stay too long in a relationship, and it was already too long for her and she had to break it up"

I think Stuart is right, if the piece had been a bit more developed in each of the stages, there would have also been space to allow each of the prompts to shine. You and Stuart are right, I should have develop the characters and let them tell the story. Creative writing does need lots of creativity and hopefully I get to develop that skill this year.
