If something is too easy to do, it is usually not interesting.

Happiness is not to just have an easy life, it is to find something difficult and to do it successfully.

I freaking love this post!
It's so true! That is why many hard working people have a massive advantage these days ! It makes me mad that people down play my hard work.

I became self employed at the age of 23 (I'm 24 now).
I had to work 12-15 hours 7 days a week for a whole year to make it happen. I made almost nothing at first. I was just scraping by with my brutal warehouse job at UPS. I would come home from my part time job hardly able to walk because I was so exhausted. But I would jump on the computer and work on my business.
Eventually the hard work built up.
And I was able to quit that part time job. 9 months later and I'm still doing really well self employed.

People say I'm "lucky" I'm not lucky. I worked my ass off!
It makes me wonder how these people are going to survive in life expecting everything to be easy, or expecting those handouts.

Yeah, people not only want an "easy button" for everything, so many just shrug and give up as soon as they meet a challenge along the way. And you're right... society has somehow stopped rewarding working for the things you want... not that it has stopped shooting for "success," but success has become more of a "lottery effect" thing...

These are wise words. A few days ago a new user asked me in a chat if I could give him a recommendation how to improve his outcome on steemit. He said that his articles didn't find an audience and he couldn't explain that. It was his third day on the platform 🙄
That's what's happening today and everywhere: everything has to be NOW and it has to fall down from the sky right into my arms.
It's good to see that actually a lot of people knew better here, stayed and kept on working. There are still many Steemians who joined in the earlier times and as we can see from their results: it was worth being patient :)
Thanks for the reminder, Randy!
Resteemed hoping especially the new users will find it

I appreciate it Marly! I also get these private messages consistently. I just say be consistent and engage there really are no shortcuts.

One shortcut I can think of, is for newbies to read the tips that @hilarski shares so generously throughout his posts. It will fast-track anyone willing to put in the 'work' to get a worth while result. Nothing happens over night, but it does happen if one perseveres.

@hilarski You are right, many come and expect that they will fall mana of heaven. But this does not happen, we are told: "Each product has its own customer." It plays a role with which excitement you will describe your hobbies, a matter in which you are a master. And you will have your readers who will be interested. For example, I really like being here, I want to tell more about my country Ukraine, about my creative and interesting work, my hobbies. And I'm looking for those who interested me with their articles, talent.

This is perhaps the most pertinent and timely piece of writing. "Once you find your tribe, society's opinion will matter less and less to you" - yes! These are powerful reminders. Insightful, inspiring. Thank you for your words! Peace and love

I don't know of a better place at this point and time...

Well said @hilarski coming home from work and then working some more giving up things I enjoy it all sounds like me, still here even with the low rewards.

I will continue in steemit, although at the moment the low rewards @hilarski

I wish that stupid little droid would actually give up. That thing has haunted me for my entire life!

It is a dirty job but someone has to do it. ; )

Amazing post, as always

Thank you Brotha!

Disclaimer: I am just a bot trying to be helpful.

I find his point of view very emotional.

BOOM! Truth nuggets right there. Success is never as simple as it looks. Nobody really peeks behind the curtain and sees all the blood, sweat, tears, and broken dreams along the way that helped pave the path to reaching goals and winning!

Life isn't easy and to survive ones daily existence is something one can be grateful of. Taking a challenge here at steemit, I would say an extraordinarily effort. But, I'm here I am, trying to learn and be a part of the community. I know, I'm not climbing alone... the challenge here in steemit is definitely ON! @hilarski

'Let me tell you about luck, my luck was born through effort and I know the same goes for anyone who has been successful in any endeavor.'

Absolutely – you make your own luck in life. The way people lazily ascribe virtually any kind of success to 'luck' drives me crazy! True, successful people are often very lucky in certain ways (e.g. Tiger Woods having a keen golfer father to coach him), but whatever luck they may have is almost always augmented by a ferocious work ethic.

Nice video... yes it suppose be hard so others can be imitate easly. :)

I can't decide whether this motivates me or makes me depressed. Both, I guess :)

Btw: @hilarski how does one get their post on twitter SteemIt ?

Be on Trending.

"Бороться,искать...найти и не сдаваться"))

If it's too hard, then you are doing it wrong.

You are correct that work is the way to free oneself by pushing yourself to advance. For the vast majority getting down to the grind will determine whether they will succeed or not I do wish to point out though that luck does have a part to play.

A friend of mine won the lottery and was able to change his life, so there is that..

Oh, and the fact that some of the wealthiest people alive today gained a sizable portion of it through inheritance. It is not hard to make money if you have money.

Great post! My two favourite mantras are "Laziness is ugly" and "Do it the hard way". Banishing laziness from your mind is the first step to prosperity!

If u can not do anything for thousand reasons.. Find at least one reason for which you can do it.. But never give up it's not the solution.. Motivating words @hilarski ..well said

This post is the absolute truth!

'nothing that comes easy will be worth it and nothing worth it will come easy'

You got that right ! I am person who had congestive heart failure from June of 2003 to December 26 when I got the gift of a heart transplant . Before that I had been in and out of the hospital . Even with a implantable cardio defibrillator and medicine my heart was getting worse . It was pumping at only ten percent and getting worse . Basically I was dying but fighting all the way . You see I don't believe in that whining bull shit or excuses . My wife and I are instilling in our daughter sixteen who sometimes wants to act like she damn six years old . Life is real not a Walt Disney tale . Thank you for your post and dealing with reality .

on point! thank you for sharing ;-))

I prefer to do it that way. The Hard way never worked for me, never produced results.

I flag because I truly believe you are both hate speeching me, and trolling. That is why I flag. It says that I can flag for that so I see nothing wrong with my flags?
