Thank you for joining steemit. I was meeting nice new people. You will too. But I was missing you and I am thankful you are here.
This is the first of hopefully many posts to help you get started, keep going, and get the most out of your experience. I will expound more in another post. But for now I am gonna KISS. Keep It Simple Schneidy friends.
FIRST THING FIRST : Follow and upvote each other.
We as improvisers, and friends of improvisers, have learned the most power lesson in life. "Together we are stronger." And the same applies to steemit. Welcome also to super interesting people I met on TradingView and Twitter.

SECOND : Be Thankful.
You are so much farther down the road, just by being here. Don't get discouraged when you see $1000 posts, $500 posts, $100 posts, $50 posts. You will get there faster than me. Trust yourselves and how awesome you are. And at the end of the day, who cares! Money is whatever and will come, just from being you. Awesome, interesting, one of a kind, fun, you. The greater reward is connecting to the new technologies and new worlds out there. I personally look forward to being the Amanda B Johnson of Improv. If you don't know what I mean, you will someday. I see a huge potential to help friends and family, to help improv grow and reach those who are looking for it's gift to humanity. I see such interesting heights with steem, golos, and other blockchain technologies. Do not worry about how to withdraw anything yet. I'll post more about that later. No worries.
THIRD : Post
Don't worry about an "Introduce Yourself Post" yet. Unless you are ready for that. Just post a thing or two. Share info and a show poster on an upcoming show. I curate for @Steemtrail. They know we just need numbers before #Improv gets it's own trail like @Life-Trail and @Writing-Trail. In the meantime you can see what I'm talking about by visiting the Steemtrail Curator Discord site. You can start learning there, or just start dropping your post links in the appropriate category. You can leave links to your posts in categories in steemit.chat as well. And therer are facebook groups too. Just search steemit groups. You'll see. But don't worry about too much about that yet. Just post. When you post, use up to 5 tags. Mention "life" for now in most posts as it gets out there. And upvote your own post always, for now.
FOURTH : Voting and Commenting.
Eventually you'll get "Curation Rewards" just for voting on posts. We'll help each other by voting on each other's posts. You help others and yourself by voting on posts. So vote on each other's stuff when you can. How much do you set your voting power to? Think Tai Chi's 70/30 rule. If you are going to vote a ton, vote at 30%. If you are just gonna vote a handful of times a day, 70%. Your power goes up the less you vote, down the more. Timing helps too. If you just wanna look around on the "new" section located in the top left of the steemit home page, then you'll see a timer for when things are posted. You make most if you vote on something that is around 20-40 minutes old. Will explain more later. There is also a site that will help you catch good stuff. Will share more about that. But let's not get overwhelmed yet. Again, I'll explain more in another post. For now, be sure to vote for each other.
FIFTH : Leave comments and questions.
Leave any questions and comments for me in this post below. We'll get the conversation started and keep rolling. Also, if you see something of interest to you in other people's posts. Then leave a comment, let them know you followed them back. This is how I meet some cool new people from all over the world and how you will too. You can search here on steemit for newbie info or browse some old info here at steemithelp.net.
FINALLY : Who are the good guys?
I'm gonna shoot you straight my homies. In Chicago and around the world, there are Angels and Demons. No different here. I just posted something about bullies. But fear them not. Improv is here to help people stay happy. There are alot of "Marketers" too. They are not bad people at all, they love steemit, are talented and passionate workers and are rewarded for it. RESPECT. But steemit, like any social media, needs more real and awesome people living other real and interesting lives like you. That said, I am going to leave a list of people I strongly suggest following. They are experts, traders, creators, and just the beginning of a list of people I suggest following. Will leave more links later, but this is just a starter. Stop by and say hello to them, they are the Angels, the legion, the beloved's of steemit. They are good peoples. There is even a discord community where you can meet, and talk via voice chat too. If you have time and are ready, go here and visit us at Steemspeak But like I said earlier, keep it simple.
This is only the beginning. Steemit is just one platform that will run on this blockchain thing called steem. A twitter killer is coming called @zappl. There is also busy.org if that interface is more appealing to you. But more are on the rise. If new to crypto world of blockchain, take it slow, lots to learn. Otherwise, just rock out the social media aspect like any other. Once upon a time there was Friendster, then Myspace, then Facebook. Now here we are.

When submitting a post there is a thing for the rewards...one says decline (i understand that) then the two others say 50/50 and another one says power up 100% can you explain that?

i'm new. @jacobts has been telling me about this for a while now. it seems overwhelming but this post has been really helpful. it's nice to see all the love already in this thread. it's like a friendlier, possible profitable Reddit!
you know it buddy. and this, steemit, is just the first platform on which the 'steem' token will circulate. try busy.org if that workflow is easier for you. the esteem app. and @zappl is coming. I will continue to tag all my new friends with helpful hints. but right now, gotta edit the @steemtrail weekly. hope to see more BelovedGang around. Power in numbers homie! And Beloved to the world.
