I 💜❤️💛💚 to find those Images on my Phone!
I am on a train to the Austrian countryside for a weekend with friends and there is a lot of lovley serenity and "Green" to see for my tired eyes but
my Love on this Friday goes out to the Island I spent nearly 2 decades of my life.
It was a so called Love & Hate friendship with the sacred ground, the home of Gods & Goddesses but also Evil & Corruption.
The natural balance of our universe!
Paradise is where we find it and right next to it there will be Hell.
There will not be Niskala without Sekala!
There are only two options you got and it's only up to you what to choose.
Adapt & Accept or go to find another place you call your home with similar emotions as well as similar challenges to face. It's the same wherever you go.
I will never regret that I decided to stay for that many years, raising and preparing my child with simple and innocent values, spiritual Hindu roots, mixed with western manners.
** I still love Bali and many good people I met.

Hello @mammasitta, i late to commented, but although somewhat late i want to share a bit in your article.
You are rigth that wherever we #live or see #photography or #travel wherever it is beautiful, it will be much more beautiful more comfortable land our own island even though the "beauty" #bali or any regoin we come will be far peaceful living land alone.
Our home ground is our own mother, away from her mom like this #life is hollow.

I moved from Manhattan to Bali 1999 and I believe that it was a good choice but now I am back where I am from to explore my homeland Austria again to teach my daughter where her roots are from.

I think the "perfect place" doesn't exist, but there are many place where we can live as better we can, meeting nice people, give them a bit of ourselves and take from them a bit of themselves. Maybe the "perfect place" it's just inside ourselves thanks our experiences, our thoughts, our love ^_^

I have no Idea what really happened to me but at some point all those great things became a burden on my shoulders. I saw it as a message, a hint that the world is so much larger than a little, sweet island. So many secrets are still hiding away and I am about to find it all. I saw there is no void inside me anymore and I can sit still anywhere, just let life happen or just move more slowly. It's such a new experience. I guess I am becoming just a little bit wiser = older and more calm.
I can understand you! I've always live in Italy, but I changed many houses and many villages. Just little "changes", but sometimes I couldn't resist to change something in my life, at the end I think this changes "enriched" me ;)
Ahhhh, I'm just soaking up these images - Bali is in my top 5 places I want to visit!
I love what you said about next to paradise there will be hell. It's all beautifully in balance. Similarly, the way we choose to perceive things can put us either in heaven or in hell. :)

This is a beautiful post and tribute to those years in Bali. I'll take the "It's the same wherever you go.", it's a lesson I'm having difficulty to learn.
Maybe I'm a bit boring bringing up those years on and on but there was so much beauty I experienced. it's hard to share all of it but yes it's my kind of tribute to MYSELF and the courage I had to just change my life, leave the big red apple called New York City. I did it many times and turned back to my roots for now. Who knows what's next?

Once in a lifetime you must experience!
There are many other sides of this island thinking of the mad and crazy traffic and overload on Tourismn but Balinese still keep their culture alive and I do respect their devotion.
So lovely photos in Bali, and yes loving family as well.
I enjoy so much to take photos and it became much easier for amateurs.
