The miracle of life

in #ocd4 years ago

There is a very cute detail for the eyes to look at when you see a couple having a summer walk while caring for their newborn baby in the stroller: baby feet. It is so adorable to see those tiny forms of what will help us walk most of our lives. We as adults barely notice them anymore and take them for granted, but when we see the miniature version by looking at a baby, our heart melts and we perceive them as a miracle, as something extraordinary. Isn't that amazing?

I was thinking about the wonder of evolution, about how that tiny creature will grow and will stand up on those feet to walk and learn. To face fear, love, dissapointment, excitement, joy, lust, care, adrenaline, life, death... Those legs might walk away someday far from the very people who stared at them when they were just tiny, barely fitting into the hands:the parents. Once helpless, the baby grows into an adult ready to walk alone in life. Just as it was meant to be when birds have to learn to fly on their own. It hurts, but it's evolution.

The way we are brought into the world, completely helpless, having only our miniature body and our parents to look after us, is something which fascinates me. Caring for a child until he/she will be able to support themselves is a task which will take a minimum of 18 years . Usually more if they continue studies or even too much, when they sadly are unable or unwilling to cut the umbilical cord in their 40 or even 50's. It can even be a lifetime task for those who experience the misfortune to have a child with severe handicap or health issues.

Being a parent is one of the toughest roles. Being a good parent is even harder. Your job is not only to care for your offspring, but also to make sure they are going to function well in society and therefore you are responsible for their education more than you'd like to think. Unfortunately, many parents are narrow minded when it comes to their child and I say this with the best intentions. They are selfish and only care for their offspring. Nothing else. Some might even encourage their kid to be mean with others. We will never have a functional society until people will realize that we are all intertwined. And that it is not only about you and your kid. We all are, on bigger level, the children of the Universe. If we will stop functio ing inside our own bubble and actually try to be kind and caring towards the others, we would contribute much more to the well being of our child than being stuck in the "It's all about my family" dogma.

Therefore all babies are cute and we should always think to treat others like we would like to be treated. True evolution is to notice we are all different and special and accept that with kindness. With the innocence of a child. Only changing the way we look at things we will realize that we all were once tiny and we all will return into what will be just mere ashes. So the miracle of life is not only our baby, but all babies and all creatures which surround us. Breath in the air of gratitude and compassion and you will feel how it's like to wake up every morning like this. It is like you're watching the magic of life every day.

Baby feet are ridiculously cute. My two year old still had little pudgy baby feet like wedges. They are starting to stretch and I will be sad to see them grow up :0)

Awwwwww it must be so cool to enjoy your cute baby now. I think childhood is the best time for the parents to get close to their babies. Soon after they start to seriously grow... End. Lol. I think up to 7-10 years. After that, the kid is too young and cool to hang out with the oldies lol. I can remember that time in my life. So yeah, the time spent with them when they are babies and have the cutest feet and hands and face is just priceless.

I think up to about ten are the golden years apparently. After that it's a serious downhill run!

Hahha. Yes. It will begin with "stop holding my hand", leading to " I don't need you to go with me everywhere", to "get a life you adult, I am a grown up now" lol. Ah.... And when you think they were all just tiny little feet. Funny how life is.

Yeah, bugger that. I'm throwing them out the house right now to get in first :0D

Hahahah 😂

Shared on twitter and should be read by all. Such blogs have to be made use of in textbooks as well because then only the upcoming generation to-be parents will learn from it.

What a positive energy and yes parenting is a joy and responsibility as well.

God bless

Thank you so much for reading me! Parenting should be taught in schools for adults, we owe it to ourselves to do a better job in educating our children

Very good small post 😋👌 I was like ready it 👌 I be soon back more to look what you go post.

As a woman I'm already terrified if giving birth. I know it's inevitable especially if I want to get married.

God😔😔 the pains of child bearing. I know it's the sweetest pain but yet 😔

I want to be a good parent and best friend to all my children. It's not going to be easy but I'm getting there someday.

Giving birth in water is the best method. I would personally choose that
