OCD Curation: the best posts and authors of last week (1-14th of July)

in #ocd6 years ago

The first week of July I only curated 1 post for OCD! Luckily I made up for that this week with 5 more. Needless to say I didn't make an OCD Curation post last week, instead adding the post to this week's compilation.

These are only mine: we have a dozen more curators working tirelessly to help OCD reward some undervalued curators - each day a compilation post gets published on the @ocd account - so if you're on the look out for new authors to follow please hop over there and check out one or a few posts to see if there's something to your liking :-)

Now, personally I can't wait for the STEEM prices to go up so we can see a bit more authors back on the chain, which definitely would make the curation process a bit easier - of course I also don't mind rewarding those that are still here or are trying their luck despite the bear market... Now go read those heroes, and write a nice Sunday post yourselves :-)

Cheers!

Due to circumstances in Venezuela @eugelys had to postpone recording songs for Steemit Open Mic, but this week she is joining with a lovely song that almost everyone knows: 'Killing me softly'. Her friend Fernando is guiding her beautiful voice with his guitar.

A Goose Life - epic name for a lovely video on the geese @omra-sky filmed. "Here are some of the highlights: a woman makes me uncomfortable, dead fish, my nasally voice, and gunshots?" She was lucky to not step on the dead fish, pfew!

For street art lovers this post is a must-read! @digi-me went to Valparaiso in Chile, which is a city with more than a thousand pieces of art on the walls of buildings. With only 200 pictures digi-me didn't catch them all but the selection in this post gives a lovely taste of this colourful and artsy city full of street art.

Cat Hugo was adopted as a special needs kitty only months ago from getting hurt in Hurricane Florence. Unfortunately he wouldn't get old and passed away a few days ago. Not a very happy post but a little tribute on the blockchain about a dear pet that seemed to have been lucky to have been adopted and taken care of by @chelsea88.

In this post @osmy07 asks some questions we might have asked ourselves too from time to time: Why are there days when I feel very well, and others very bad? Why do I sometimes feel beautiful, and sometimes not? What do I want to do with my life? Will my future be good? I will be happy? Studying to become a doctor this 25 year old woman is definitely a person I'd love to have a conversation with, and it seems like currently she's having pretty interesting talks about life with herself.

Some journeys take more physical and emotional effort than others. Here @x-53degreesnorth describes a week long bicycle journey that means he has to leave his young son for all these days, while doing long long days of bicycling - longer than can be trained for. Although some amazing sights can be admired in this post, like a Welsh version of Stonehenge, he ends up the first day of this journey not in the best mood, and telling himself it will get even harder than this...

This is quite a set. I've got my kettle on, I'll give some of them a slow read. I'm a slow reader but I've got all night. I'm spending the Sunday indoors with my computer haha.
