For those of you not aware, @peakd has some amazing analytics regarding consumption of your content, you can find it by going to Peakd Settings - Analytics - Views and Visitors.
In this screenshot I'm checking my top pages of last month:

Now keep in mind that this doesn't entail all the traffic, it may even double count people who open a post twice, etc, but what it does count is all views generated from peakd itself. Meaning that views from ecency, hive.blog and other smaller front-ends it doesn't count at all (although ecency has its own viewcounter on posts - but not sure sure about analytics).
I do like to look into these every now and then, naturally my views may be a bit biased due to autovotes and trending time, but also generally depend on my activity I'd say. If I'm posting more I tend to get more returning readers and if I'm more active curating the same thing may happen - especially if I'm also active engaging with other people's posts they may come and check out mine as well - even if in some cases it may not be something they're interested in themselves.
I feel like a lot of people disregard social activity when looking to grow an audience here, the lack of connection forming always has felt weird to me. I'm not saying you should like and try to connect with everyone, but at least try to be active with authors who share the same interests as you - which you can find easily in different communities they may be posting in about a certain subject that also interests you.
Too many authors seem to eventually get to a point where they receive auto/blind votes and they become content with it and start the "farm". This is where they make sure to post daily so none of those autovotes go to "waste". The content quality and effort may take a hit, their social activity declines and they get used to things just being this way forever and nothing shall stand in their way! Well, there are downvotes and I think it is important to use these from time to time when we see such activities. It's not always the author to blame and it may not always depend on something they've done/not done, but no matter if it's the curator or author, you as the downvoter trying to return some value to everyone else through the pool are often the culprit in this situation. It also doesn't help that some users here demonize downvotes and never use them while at the same time casting shadows to anyone trying to use them well when instead we should be normalizing their use if anything to reward those more who do put in time, effort consistently receive consumers.
Anyway, just a quick post with some thoughts, have been too busy lately planning some things for our game to write. Hope december found you well!
Reply with your @peakd analytic stats if you don't mind sharing them!
If you can't find where, here's a direct link: https://peakd.com/me/insights
That's weird. I can't seem to find that area.
Others had the same issue in dm's, so upvoting this to the top.
When you click on "peakd settings" on the right side, you get here:
Yeah no, mine just goes right to the settings page when I click on PeakD Settings. It's like there is a missing drop down or something.
Maybe try the link lol, dunno why I didn't think of that earlier:
https://peakd.com/me/insights
Haha yeah, the link works! :) Did you try turning it off and turning it back on? :)
I am very curious about your stats.
A whole lot of 1's, not very exciting...
I can't find that, but this link makes it easier.
Thank you very much.
I've been trying for a while, thanks, I'm on my way
Nothing to be impressed and for sure not to brag about. But I am very happy with the comments on this post.
Due to the fact that I won't become rich with Hive, I do appreciate all genuine comments my posts do receive.
Also I do have to admit that I have been absent from Hive so it feels like starting over again with a head start.
My views for last month span 6 pages, so I've only posted the first. I'm surprised to see views on stuff I posted 7 and 8 years ago!
Maybe they were @redditposh shared?
Perhaps, but I got no notifications and I normally do. Maybe I'm being investigated by the authorities for hate speech😃😃
ah u from the UK? ;P
Ireland, almost as crazy.
😅
Wow! I didn't know PeakD had an option like this. And here I am looking for something similar to see the actual views of my posts here. Since I've been writing online for years, when I joined Hive one of the main issues that concerned me was the views/reads my posts received. In the end, I didn't have much luck with that since I started blogging or writing articles online.
But when I started writing about what I loved, I cared more about what to post the next day than how many people read my last post. Well, there was also the dilemma of views, which when I started I didn't see any option as such in PeakD or any other front end dedicated to blogs on Hive. Well, the Ecency app has an option to show the views for each post, but I only discovered that a little less than a year ago and even now I'm not sure how it actually works or how accurate those views are.
I counted the interactions from then on through comments that people left me and such. In the last year I've been improving and working a lot on how to format and write in a way that would appeal to people a little more, among other things. Seeing this chart that PeakD displays is satisfying because it's positive to know that I have an audience that frequently reads my reviews. More than the issue of rewards, I focus on offering the best of myself through my content; that's why I'm constantly changing, testing, improving, and modifying the format of my blogs in terms of the amount of text per block, what images or GIFs to use, the size, quality, style, layout, cover dimensions, final banner, credits, etc.
I've also focused more on taking my time to interact and comment on other posts related to what I talk about or what I like to read on Hive. While I find it difficult to be active when it comes to "interaction" or "socializing," I know that this is very important if my real goal is to grow more each day.
Thank you for showing us this side of PeakD that I didn't know about:
Well thanks, now I know that 99% of the votes I get are from people who don't even read my posts... lol
vote count doesn't mean much with trails and autovotes :D
I know sadly. I thought people actually like my stupid posts hahaha
I couldn't find this in my dashboard, so I appreciate the link. I'm on mobile at the moment, so that may be part of the challenge.
I find the absence of real readers on my posts frustrating. The prevalence of autovotes and the lack of genuine feedback is disheartening. I may be part of the problem. I do have a general policy of not upvoting posts I don't read, though. I'm not contributing to the blind voting epidemic.
I'm not easily finding new content creators to add to my favorites feed either. I probably need to spend some serious time digging through communities and winnowing wheat from chaff to better curate my following and favorites feeds.
Okay, thanks.
I had some posts last month that got more than average views,
so it's nice to see that some of my posts are getting seen!
I might try some new formats and tell some different stories in 2026.
Those stats aren't bad at all!
Interesting (hidden) feature! There you go... Autovotes indeed promote lazyness, I'd disable them
DOWNVOTE= Redistribution of rewards.
I do not post very often, hardly twice a week. So I am more interested in seeing my engagement things.
I like to see that folks are actually reading my short story posts. Though it really does show how much is autovoted considering some of those posts got 100+ votes while barely getting into double digits for views.
nice avg time on the 3rd post!
Honestly better than I expected considering I've moved to a new account and mostly post 'going live' posts when I stream. The average time on some of them suggests people stuck around to watch the stream via the post a bit or on older posts watch the vod.
I'm using my phone and it's not zooming in, thanks, I didn't know this and many other things, I have to check all these options
Someone must have left the page open on the first post... otherwise I can't explain an averare reading time of 14m and 29s 🤣
Maybe they forgot the oven was on
Interesting feature, never knew this existed!

Of course, I wasn't aware that we have this possibility to see this… 😂 For that kind of thing, it's my husband 😂 I'm here for writing, and he's here for my statistics 😂 Not bad, I must say. Some people actually read my posts… it really means a lot when I see that… so… I'm going to post it.
:D
next Google what screenshots are and how to take them! :P
Hah…😂 You got me there 😂 Unfortunately, something's wrong, and I can't log in on my phone…only on my computer 😒 I need my husband!! 😂😂
This analysis tool is really cool. I enjoyed seeing it and was surprised by some posts getting a lot of views.
It's nice to see someone highlight how important it is to connect with people instead of just going after votes.
Great to know, I will check that out, thank you for sharing!

Thanks, I finally got it to work with the link. No matter how much I looked for it in the settings, I couldn't find it.
I clicked on the link and that was it 👍
Thank you for sharing, this helps us to be more active and more conscious.
I actually discovered this a few months ago, but forgot to check on it lately.. thanks for the reminder 😁
I still have a lot of posts with only 1 view this month, but it's nice to know that some of my last month's posts received more than 20 unique views.. hope to see more improvements this month.. 🤞
Excellent information.
This is last month, but still interesting. There are several posts that I shared in web2: Appropriate Escalation, Appropriate Information and I would find a way. Ruling Ruins was a post from October - but it still getting shared it seems, with very high average reading time, so it's people that are interested in the topic (probably contacts from real life).
Writing for my Web2 audience has brought quite a few views to my blog posts, though they're usually not that interesting for people that are not involved in the current events in my home town.
As for writing within the Hiverse - yes, activity is important, especially curating and commenting. But I've gotten to the point that I don't mind the numbers anymore, and only do it when I have the time and energy, especially the commenting. Curating is easier, I have a list of people that I know create good content, so I can just vote them quickly and only read the most interesting parts. But commenting - that has to be done right.
Cool, didn't know about this. @peakd is just the best! 😎
would have expected more views , but i guess that means that most votes come from the trails.
hmm i also see that old posts are being visited . .
Here is mine.
I find it sad when I get dozens of votes on a post but few views. I have a draft post ready to write about this but wasn't sure exactly what to say. See below example. This post had 23 views on PeakD but 677 votes. I'm glad for the votes but I would rather have more viewers and commenters instead.
Got some decent views for the previous month, and the average view time for most of the posts is decent, too, given that my posts take around 3-6 mins to read, though that may also not be accurate, given that some views may just immediately close it as soon as they open the post.
I think I had a good week, a very productive one. With this statistic in mind, I hope to do even better next week.
Interesting, I wasn't aware of this, thanks for sharing it. Seeing this kind of analysis motivates you to improve or see what you're doing; it seems like a peer and self-evaluation of your blog.
