Gringalicious Thursday Things: #2 (9000 followers!)

It's Thursday again you guys and I'm continuing this little series of sharing just random little things from my life. I've been really liking these. So here are today's things

Firstly, thank you guys soooooo much for helping me reach 9000 followers! I'm so grateful for all your support! Now let's go for 10!!!

Okay, so I’m loving this most adorable ever gift from my big sister @uglysweater and her hubby @rigaronib. Funny story, when I opened it at Christmas everyone was asking if I knew what it was and, me thinking they were asking if I knew what it was supposed to look like, I said “Of course, it’s a camera lens.” Everyone thought that I thought it was a real lens rather than a thermos and got worried I’d be disappointed. These kind of moments are always hilarious.

Haircut/style question guys, what do you think about me going more blond? I’d never added any color to my hair ever until a few months ago when I got some blond highlights. What do you think, should I go heavier on the blond next time?

When I lived in Chile (and had opposite seasons) I got used to having fresh flowers growing in our backyard around Valentine’s Day every year. Now that I live back here it’s been a bit sad not to have them so my wonderful dad surprised me with this lovely bouquet to use in photos.

My berry/yogurt bowl obsession continues with no foreseeable end.

A close second to that obsession is my coffee obsession. I didn’t think it was possible to keep loving it more……but I was wrong.

I’ve been looking for new recipe ideas recently because, to be honest, even as a food blogger I am so guilty of falling into food ruts when it comes to everyday eats so if you guys have any great recommendations for recipes or food ideas I’d love to hear!

I finally did some shopping for my upcoming travels and I’m really excited to show you guys what I bought. Although, this time I’m saving them for the trip.

The snow is still on hold it seems but I have a feeling it’s going to make an appearance here soon and bury us in piles of fluffy white. Either way the weather has been pretty chilly so I’ve been living in sweaters.

Oh, and I finally remembered to order a phone case for my phone because I seriously almost dropped it almost everyday at the gym last week and realized I was being so silly not to just get a case. I went with a marble one, you like?

I haven’t said anything here on the blog about it but a close family member had been very sick recently so I’d really appreciate your prayers.

I think you could rock some more blonde, maybe throw some caramel in there as well, to keep it warm for your skin tone. I'd recommend going with some balayage, to avoid having a sharp line of regrowth later... makes things blend nicely as they grow out.

And coffee... what's there to say, other than it is my fuel most days. So, I totally hear you on the love there. lol

What a great thermos! It's perfect for you! I bet it draws looks if you handle that rough - no way to treat a nice camera lens, lol. For food inspiriation, maybe getting a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) basket during the growing season would do the trick. You never know what they will have in their basket, lol. Or just get to know some good gardeners! As my dad always says, "If you don't cultivate a garden, cultivate a friendship with a gardener!"

Sorry to hear about the illness in your family. I hope it all resolved soon and for the better. Take care of yourself during this time, too. It can be a hard process to go through a serious illness in the family.

Congrats! I think they are well deserved and it wont take you much longer to reach the 10k. Your food photography is always so mouthwatering and the recipe that I tried out of the Frozen Cookie Dough Banana "Nice Cream" was amazing. I just had to swap the cashews for almonds because I forgot the cashews on the soppping tour. :-)

Thanks for these personal insights into your everyday...
I am obsessed with coffee and cakes and I am about to change this somehow bad habit. It's not bad in general, but it's bad for my health and my spiritual development. So I want to get rid at least of the sugar.
How can you eat yoghurt with fruits together with a coffee?
