VIEWS FROM THE WATERFRONT

in #proofofbrain3 years ago (edited)

Yesterday, as I often do, I walked along the the Wellington waterfront, checking out the sights, and taking a few photos. Over the years I've taken thousands of photos along the waterfront but there is always something new to notice. Or something old and bright yellow...

And there are usually lots of dogs out enjoying a walk

It was a cold but sunny winter's day, and nice to have a break from the rain. Reading about the heat and droughts in the northern hemisphere I wonder if New Zealand has had all the rain in the world this year, but @papilloncharity might disagree and say South Africa got some too. "It's pissing down" has been our default weather setting this winter.

Some photos I like to leave as they are, but some cry out to be filtered and tweaked to the ends of the earth. (Subtlety is not my middle name)

Sometimes we need to take a break from stressing out in the clown world!

Sort:

it always amazes me how much energetic quality pictures can relay. i really miss the ocean, feel it's time for a gaia download after all this humadness

One of the things that keeps me almost sane is being able to see the sea out of the window, and choose from two different large wet areas both 10 min walk in opposite directions (the harbour or the south coast)

Calm

Or rough (that pole was bent in half by the wind)

I like that weathered yellow robot in the first picture! He looks nice.

We could use some water here actually, no rain for I don't even remember how long, and I gave up the garden already. Quite extreme times we're living in, everything seems to be a bit too much. But the pendulum will settle down eventually some day.

Do you have chemtrails where you are (where are you?)

We do even here in NZ - nobody believes me, even when I show them photos - another example of collective blindness...

I took a lot of photos of planes spraying trails earlier this year - I think that is one of the reasons the weather is so odd (this one was back in Febuary)

image.png

Actually not that much, I don't even hear many planes lately, although I'm only about an hour away from Sofia, capital of Bulgaria.
But I'm gonna keep an eye on the sky more often. I actually inside most of the day, because it's just too hot to be outside, so a look out of the window will have to do.

Maybe the odd weather is another expression of the odd world situation. Everything's weird and harsh at the moment, so the weather is too.

Love that dog. He must be a stubborn dude. You captured that tongue in your paintings very well.

You are right mate, as I would definitely disagree. Our country had a 50% share of all that rain and it has intensified to a great degree.
Many people were flooded here.

Cheers and !BEER

Wellington has had the odd flood or two this year as well!

image.png

Yep, I believe you and things are way out of normal my friend.

I remember the time that I was trapped in my canoe in a raging river and regardles of my rowing, I drifted like a leaf in the rain towards a dangerous weir.
Luckily I had the sense to stick the paddle into the water to act like a rudder and I steered the canoe to the side of the river, wher I clung onto a rock and then lifted the canoe out of the river.

Problem was that I was barefoot and I had to walk back to the camp with the canoe on my shoulder. About a mile in the bush and the ground was covered in thorns in patches.

Something one will never forget about the power floods.

Hope that your new week is good thus far.

!BEER

This week has been interesting so far... I've stuck my paddle in the water but I think some thorns may be coming up

So, you have a difficult week?
I like your wordplay.

I'll be taking photos of empty streets later today - may run into some mind controlled cult members...

Just you be a careful fella and keep out of their sight.
They just might think that you are some foreign spy planning to bomb them or for some other reason.

I have also had some innings with people, but then I show them the photos of the clouds on my camera and then they leave me alone.

Hey @frot, here is a little bit of BEER from @papilloncharity for you. Enjoy it!

Did you know that you can use BEER at dCity game to **buy dCity NFT cards** to rule the world.

Keep on keepin on is pretty obvious, just in case, it's like "you're doin great" or "just do you." In your case, switch keepin with "pissin."

That is a really cool design dude. I'm certain I've never said anything like this until now but I really like that rabbit.

Would like to see more of what your area of NZ looks like...

Where would you like to start? - I only have about 20k Wellington photos!

This is my local hood, taken on the hill up behind where I live

image.png

check out this odd cat -

Love the cat who fits in with the dogs. Your town looks so congested, how do you all manage to stay 6 feet apart.

I don't - in fact I make an effort not to, but that bullshit is over for now - give it a few weeks!

I can't stand looking at that woman.. Try this one.
