I agree. There are so many things which could be done with this blockchain and there are so many ways that the condensers could make things better. I wish they would sell it if they're not going to fix.
Hey, @busy.org, you should be hustling right now. With the right features, you could overtake steemit.com. Don't be afraid to break away. You don't have to follow this same useless reputation system. You don't have to hide flagged posts. There are a lot of ways you can improve the Steem experience.
Well I would like them to hide sufficiently down voted posts or comments but with a "too low to show" link.
They could also weight down votes so a single whale can't bury a post, it still takes a popular vote.

I agree. I still like Steemit and hope it gets better, but honestly, if it weren't for 3rd party tools like steemitmoreinfo, I would've left a while ago.
Busy seems better in all aspects except lack of night mode and some weird issues I've been having with not being able to log in or post. Other social media gets by just fine without rep or other such labels that can be bought.
Maybe its time for another hard fork?

IMHO, Steem Inc. aka STINC does not care at all about Steemit.com . . Steemit the interface is their proof of concept based upon delegated proof of stake blockchain. They could care less what happens to Steemit as their attention is focused on SMT’s and bringing Steem blockchain to more established social media platforms with a real user base. This seems pretty clear to me. Time will tell if their strategy works. Unfortunately asking them to care about Steemit is a waste of time. They realize Steemit sucks and the valuable component they have is the chain.
I'd say this is the case, as well.

I am shocked there is no way to look for a subject or follow a topic after an entire year. Instead we have these smt which won’t take off unless steemit does.
IKR, how about a filter for name AND category. So you don't have to sift through gardening to find your friend's post on a movie they saw.
It’s really crazy it’s not fixed. I have been irritated since fall 2016. It’s so obvious. We have lost so many user who tried it and got irritated. Hopefully once they fix this ty will come back. Medium and teddy are dominating social media for crypto and steem should have been the go to place.

They should create topic follow. Nobody wants to follow users. A simple way would create a user that that resteemed everything for a topic. You could then follow only the topics you wanted. The cryptocurrency topic user for instance. Then I would delete most of my followed users and resubscribe to topics
