The contest hosted by @cobmaximus is quite funny. It's been a while since I found his contests and I wanted to participate in one of the comic cover contests (however I either didn't have the time or I couldn't relate to the previous covers (unfortunately I missed Naruto T_T ))
My entry for his current #steemit-webcomics contest on Fullmetal Alchemist + emergency room is the following crossover fan cover:

"The way is putting his glove on kinda looks like how a doctor would put on his glove just before an emergency operation. I can already see something like a doctor and a patient gravely injured in the back. [...] These are some ideas of what you can draw getting inspired by the cover and the ER theme."
However I've taken the idea of "Emergency Room" a littele bit different :D

It very cool way on how you present this drawing with an animation and a link on steps by steps drawing. Dr Ross was very outstanding with his blue shirt. You took how long to complete this cover?

I had to laugh out loud when I saw George Cloonie's face with The Terminator. Hahaha I think it's a great satire approach to the cover. And youv'e done fantastic job drawing both! About how long did it take you?

Hehe, I thought of who could be the doctor putting the glove on, then suddenly it was clear, the contest theme suggest it already: Emergency Room! The series "ER" has to be featured and thererfore the Dr. had to be Ross ^^
Well, I would say it were several evenings (+ into the nights, sometimes).
I'm constantly amazed by how much time people put into their stuff. Like in a very good way. I just love the dedication people have, or you have, to get that stuff done. I'm sure people would think the same about the amount of time I put into videos or pictures but still, I like acknowledging. I love that drive people have to get good out art. It's awesome.

Unreal!! Man you're really a great artist! I thought initially that you were just drawing on top of some reference drawings, but by looking at the step by step I can see you really draw everything! That's amazing

However I have to admit that it is the way you intitally thought: I've traced/copy the reference by drawing on a layer on top of the reference :/
It is not in the step-by-step animation because otherwiese the gif would have to show much more steps... I am pretty bad at portraying, that's the reason :D
haha well that's fine, is a way to loose the hand and pay more attention to details :)
That's a pretty witty way to draw a concept. I think I would also approach the same angle given I recently rewatched FMA for the 3rd time. Just one of those classic anime that led me to liking more anime.

Well, I must admit, I watched it pretty late. It was last year and therefore one of the latest animes I've watched completely.
I liked the concept of the alchemy in that world aaand I loved some characters from the anime... And then they died in both versions -.-

A curie vote has a pretty high significance, hasn't it? I haven't had many of them (did I ever receive one? I guess not :D ), therefore unfortunately I do not know much about it ...
I like how you describe your process :) Few points and few words. Clear and to the point :D I like your gif. It's like your process - clear and to the point. I must say that your George Clooney looks better than real George Clooney. I'm sure he doesn't read that so I can openly say the truth :D
Oh and I love the 'Hasta la Vista babe' on Terminator's t-shirt. You were thinking about those tiny details - great job!

The cover you made is very interesting. The metallic skull subject gives a rough touch to the cover hahaha. And the name "Full metal internist" I liked very much, your illustration is very much in agreement with that name. And the serious and calm face of the doctor is the best, it looks as if thousands of operations were performed before that.

I do not actually think that the base photo is of a doctor who is about to perform on his patient. Why, the Fullmetal Alchemist's eyes are blazing? How can that be a doctor looking at his dying patient? 😃
Your George Clooney version certainly looks like a doctor with gentleness for his patient. You are very clever to have related the theme to terminator. I like the contrast of neat-looking gentle Dr. Ross versus Termie's bravado.

The relation to Terminator happened due to the fact, Termie is pretty much one of the few characters that are made of metal. Hence the resulting contrast of a medic VS a killer machine was rather an accident :D

However right now I am trying to get along with MediBang Paint Pro and ...what was it again?... Ah, Krita. Those 2 are open source software and specialised in manga drawings.

REally good idea, I have watched both and they are my favorite. It is difficult to imagine ER without Clooney and legendary Terminator with T600 and Sarah Connor. Great composition, like the way you created the characters, nice to see your sketch and it was interesting to learn the idea behind it that inspired you. I wish you good luck :)

It was just that the terminator is one of the few well known characters made of metal. I couldn't think of many other. And the terminator does not match Clooney at all, therefore it was a good match for a crossover :D
