I have been working my tail off for the past 2 days to get things packed and ready for Lighting in a Bottle Festival 218. I'm in California right now with the Medical Crew finishing up a trailer and doing those last minute packing fixes that are going on. I love being able to get down to business after some down time that was much needed. I feel better knowing we are going to be getting on the road to the festival very soon. I'm going to be streaming my way to the location and checking out how the internet hotspots we got are going to work out there. I know I'll be able to post some video while I'm out there but who knows if I will be able to get any live streams off. I feel pretty good about being able to for the first couple of days but when all the people get out to the festival there is no telling how the networks are going to be holding up. I have my AT&T hotspot, Sprint Hotspot, and Phone Connection so I should be able to do at least something. It's been a fun time streaming on Mort Defango after the main channel got crowdstriked by the haters. It's always shitting when you lose your main channel and it really hurts your subcribers. I have been still getting new ones on the main channel from the videos I post but I took a hit on ad revune for sure. Loosk like we are off restriction on May 27th 2018 and I really wanna be able to do a stream on the main channel. That will be a win in my book and I hope everything goes off without a hitch. After that I'm going to change Mort Defango to being my Gaming channel. That way we can really keep the 2 separate.
I have been doing pretty good here on steemit but it seems like things never last. I have been on steemit posting orignal content and videos with links and excepts from articles since I started. I really hate the egos on some of the "Whales" on this platform. I was getting some upvote that helped keep me out of being poor but I noticed rewards dropped again. Looing at my comments once again I got some whale complaining about my content, saying I plagiarizing shit and removing upvotes. I'll tell you if you a whale and you do that type of manipulative crap you really need to review your importance on this platform. feeding the fishes is one thing but using your vote to make people change isn't the way to go. I made a post about Efail were I broke things down in a video and copied all the best parts of the news articles like I always do. Then I took the entire website text and posted with the link to ensure it was saved on the steemit blockchain. Take a look at the post. Nothing evil and pretty much straight forward.
Now take a look at the comments, Whats up with this @v4vapid person? Calling me a plagiarizer, trying to force me to change thing to fit their view of things, not really looking at the clear reason of why I use steemit. Comment happens and my post rewards go down. Do you see the connection here. I point this out and we get another person commenting. This is the type of stuff that keeps people off of steemit and really makes the platform look terrible to my subcribers. I do my best to get people here all the time, promote the website, post articles, upvote and I have never gotten any delagation even close to these people. I'm not talking crap I'm just saying whats happening here. I spend my time generating good content, not resteeming other peoples work. Steemit is the only thing paying the bills for me and whenever this type of thing happens it not only affects my mood, it hurts the Deep Dive and research I do on a daily basis. I love these folks, but when people do these things it's only because there is some hidden motive or group working that isn't being clear about whats going on. I see this as not only an attack on my character, but on my life. Fine take the upvotes away, minimize all the work I have done and then turn around and take the model I created to get deeper dives. That's fine, I came to steemit to get away from this type of interaction and yet again. Here we are getting it once again for something that is clearly a difference of opinion.
So what do I do? Bow? Hell no, if your a follower of me and support me you upvote, if you don't like my stuff or have a problem with my work, cool. I guess I'll just posting on here then. Nah, really it's just better to point this type of thing out and see how the comments roll out. It's crazy people are like "We are your biggest Supporter", but now we are not. My biggest supporters are my people that understand this is about getting by and keeping things alive. Glad you guys are getting all the big delegation to throw around, Please don't think your a supporter if you "upvote". A real supporter Upvotes ever post reguardless of what the content is because they understand this is a way of life for people like me who have nothing else since he got into this Truth World. if you look at my upvotes, you can see I support many people with my tiny vote regardless of what they post. Sure I might make a comment about it, but I'm not going to be taking any action unless they are abusing the system.
Right now the system feel broken again, people are saying it's my fault but I just don't get what a guy has to do to make things normal around here. If I could do one week without ego from someone that would be great. I have a festival to get to and I hope the next week on here will be better, but I can see the future and know that things are going to be looking grim probably. Maybe that or they want me to get in there challenge, I say nah because I was already doing it better with video and everything, maybe you should get on my level? This will probably make people mad or whatever but I don't think it matters. At least I get to get some great shots and video from LIB and it's a good thing I have all that Wikileaks content I made last year. I'm going to be reaching out directly to the Wikileaks team to get some clarity on these new "Wikileaks" Steemians running this contest with the name. I just got done outting some people that were acting pro wikileaks but really trying to infiltrate the movement. Currently the word is that there are no active wikileaks 100% people doing anything for them on this platform. Sure there are bloggers and things that support them, but I really do have to take a step back and make sure this is going to be a good situation, if not I have to ask how people involved people got to where they are an why. I'll be honest after doing a deep dive into their accounts I'm not convinced at all.
Hey Defango! Hope you're having a good time. I got hit by the cheetah bot on one of my posts because I was listing some of the uses for industrial hemp and the bot referenced the wikipedia oh please, my main point in the article was how quickly my mom healed by using CBD oil on her skin tear. Needless to say, with the cheetah comment no one bothered reading my info.
I think when you are referencing information from other articles you need to format them like a quote? I will double check and get back to you on that.
