Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

Would you like to know which of the top upvoting bid bots give the maximum payout back to delegators because this will be useful the next time you have Steem Power you want to delegate for profit?

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

This is a post that took me quite a long time to write because I had to collect a lot of data, calculate and analyze, so I can present you accurate figures for each of the top bots I looked at.

I originally did that selfishly for myself to know what my returns were for two upvoting bots I delegated to, @jerrybanfield and @tipu, which both say they have the highest payouts because the first one is giving back all curation rewards and the second one 60% of the curation rewards.

When I first delegated to @jerrybanfield my intention was to help fund Steem projects because the payout for delegators was only 50%, while the other 50% were used to fund projects. This has now changed to a ~ 110% according to this post: All In On Fundition.io + Budget Proposals Ending + Bot Delegator Payouts Increasing to ~110%!

In the contrary, I originally delegated to @tipu, which is a smaller bot, to get the maximum payout.

I decided to extend my research to other top bots as well to see if I was right to delegate to these two bots, and see if I had other better possibilities. It is what I am sharing with you today.

If you only want to read the results without the details on how I came up with them, go to the "Conclusion" section of this post.

UPDATE June 19, 2018: I know that the results I am presenting here upset some people, but I did my best to collect the data on a 7-day period and show my process and calculation that you can now use to do your own research. I did make a mistake missing one payment in Steem for @smartsteem and this has been corrected in the post accordingly. Some people make allegations that I faked the results in some way, ask questions, and then downvote my answer when they don't like it. If you want to read a reply from me in this post that has been downvoted and not visible, would you just click the button to view it, or maybe upvote it to make it visible and support freedom of speech as I do? Before delegating to any of these bots I advise you to do your own calculations because this post is not intended to give investment advices.

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

Let's have a look first at the top upvoting bots I decided to look at.

I went to https://steembottracker.com and started to collect data for the bots having more than $60 in vote value.

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

The data was collected on June 2, 2018, and as the value of STEEM and SBD is always changing, these values will be different if you look at them today. However, all the data in this post was collected on the same day, so it can be fairly compared.

I made this table and I sorted the bots by "Vote Value,"

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

The bot with the highest vote value is @postpromoter and the lowest vote value is @sneaky-ninja.

@tipu is a guest bot in that study because it's not even a bid bot.

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

I wanted to know for this one as well because I have 400 SP with them, this might be useful for you. It has the lowest vote value of all.

The next step was to know more about delegators, SP and VESTS delegated, and if they are open to delegations.

I used this tool for each of them: https://helloacm.com/tools/steemit/delegators/

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

This gave me the number of delegators, the amount of SP and VESTS delegated for each bot.

This also showed me that certain bots have very few delegators.

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

I have marked @buildawhale, @rocky1, @booster and @sneaky-ninja as "Private delegators" because I see nowhere how to delegate to them and it seems that they are own by people who can do without our delegation.

We are left with 10 upvote bots that we can delegate Steem Power to, and that I used in my case study.

My process to collect data and calculations

Instead of looking at what each upvoting bid bot is advertising for their delegators, 50%, 80%, 90%, 95% or 100% daily payouts with or without reward sharing, information which is not even easy to find for some of them, I decided to just look at the wallet of one delegator for each bot and see what they earned in a 7-day period according to their delegation in Steem Power.

For example, I went to https://steemworld.org/@postpromoter and clicked on the "Delegation (In)" tab. There, you can see who the delegators are and what amount of SP they have delegated.

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

I chose one delegator in the list with more than a thousand SP and went to their wallet to collect data for a 7-day period.

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

Some upvoting bots pay SBD and STEEM daily, some pay only SBD, and one pays several times per day. I collected all this data in a spreadsheet and as every delegator has a different amount of SP delegated, I calculated an equivalent for 1,000 SP for every bot.

This is how I collected the data in a spreadsheet.

In this case we had daily payouts in STEEM and SBD.

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

If the delegation is 2,500 SP, and the payout for 7 days is 16 SBD, I have the following for 1,000 SP:

16 ÷ 2,500 x 1,000 = 6.4 SBD (for 7 days)

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

The payout is different each day because it depends on the bids users made, and having a value for 7 days makes a good average.

I then calculated the revenue for one day like this:

6.4 ÷ 7 = 0.914 SBD

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

I did the same thing with payouts in STEEM.

I then multiplied the daily value with 1,000 SP delegated by 365 days for payouts in SBD and STEEM. This assumes that the average payout will stay the same for a year.

0.914 x 365 = 333.714 SBD

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

Finally, I divided the SBD value by 1.3, which is the current rate of exchange, and added it to the STEEM, so I could have a final value in STEEM and calculate the final APR.

29.513 + (333.714 ÷ 1.3) = 286.216 STEEM

Case Study: Which Top Upvoting Bots to Delegate to for the Highest Daily Payout?

286.216 ÷ 1,000 x 100 = 29% APR (rounded up)

I hope that this helps understanding all the calculations I made in this case study.

RANKBOT NAMEVOTE VALUETOTAL STEEM/YEARAPR
1@jerrybanfield$82.99352.70435%
2@smartsteem$473.51287.76829%
3@upmewhale$109.27268.53327%

8@upme$325.84239.35824%
9@promobot$190.21231.15123%
10@postpromoter$603.14229.41923%

There is a clear winner here for delegating Steem Power if your goal is to make the maximum profit.

The @jerrybanfield bid bot is the top bid bot for delegators with a 35% APR.

The @smartsteem bid bot is second for delegators with a 29% APR.

The @upmewhale and @therising bid bots both are third for delegators with a 27% APR.

The @tipu bot is fifth for delegators with a 26% APR.

The other bid bots have a 22% to 24% APR.

Now, you may prefer to delegate to bots with a lower APR if your goal is not to make the highest profit, but participate in whatever community projects they may have, that is up to you.

I hope that this case study is useful for you to decide which bid bots to delegate to for maximum profit.

Would you please help @jerrybanfield become a top 10 Witness because he is in my opinion the witness who gives the most back to the community?

Absolutely fucking not.

Gives the most back? Have you lost your damn mind, or are you just a paid Jerry shill? Jerry Banfield is a charlatan who does nothing but try to scheme and scam for more money. And he does this by intentionally fudging the math and pretending to be ignorant about other services and/or information that’s readily available. He has done this repeatedly...and not just on this platform.

I would encourage all users and investors to stop supporting Jerry and anyone who sings his praises. He is not doing you or your investment any favors by continually lying, scheming, and scamming...and looking like a complete jackass while doing it.

Would you upvote this post and follow me for more because this will encourage me to write more Steem case studies like this one?

No. I actually downvoted instead and will downvote any posts like this in the future. And you may want to check your numbers again, as others have already pointed out. It’s one thing to ignorantly praise someone. But it’s completely different to purposely misrepresent them and provide inaccurate or knowingly false data in order to seek or give investment advice/information.

If I were you, I’d be very careful about doing the latter.

Thank you very much @ats-david for commenting, giving me a downvote showing your disapproval and an upvote of around the same amount for this comment so I can see it.

I understand why inviting people to vote for Jerry as a witness at the bottom of this post may be misunderstood and I have removed it. Thank you for helping me see this.

I am not interested in Steemit politics and this study does not reflect if I like or not the bot owner. I did have one error that I corrected, accurate data is what I want the most because I selfishly did that study for myself.

If you are not satisfied with the results, I invite you to take as much time as I did to make your own research and publish it. I will be happy to upvote it as much as I have been upvoting your comment here.

I also invite everyone to do their own calculations for the bots they are considering delegating to before delegating.

I see some Jerry's style in this post:

Would you upvote this post and follow me for more because this will encourage me to write more Steem case studies like this one?

Thank you for bidding! Will you please add me to your witness votes or set me as a proxy at https://steemit.com/~witnesses because this will help us increase the value of Steem together?

wow, what an angry profane response! Such bad language!
Even if you were right -which I don't know - there should be more appropriate ways to communicate

Cool story, bro.

Regarding @smartsteem (which is one of two promotion services by Smartsteem.com):

1.) Payouts are in SBD & STEEM. The user @thally, you've picked - had 2 payouts this week with STEEM. Please fix that in your calculation ASAP.
2.) Payouts are everyday as long as the user has a pending payout of at least 0.4 SBD / 0.4 STEEM. Otherwise the system will try to payout the next day. (and the day after, etc.)
3.) @smartsteem is giving away 95% of the liquid profits to delegators - which is a huge chunk of revenue percentage. The rest 5% and curation-rewards are funds for the current & past development and for future projects.

I personally see Smartsteem.com as the Lamborghini of post-promotion services. Continuous innovation, newest technology, most aesthetic design - always striving to be the best of the best.

But you can of course always choose @jerrybanfield.

Your decision.

lol, this was fun!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Ha,ha I choose the Lamborghini...,the most sophisticated one like smartsteem, that 's why it's called smartsteem because it's the smart choice to earn more Steem!

Yeah that right. I'll also choose the lamborghini.

Interesting comment @therealwolf to this post. Down below, @whatsup indicates this is your "service." Is that so? I don't see any reference to that in your comments.

Please respond. Thanks in advance!

It should be well known that I'm the creator of Smartsteem.com. It's in my bio on Steemit and directly on the website:

https://smartsteem.com/team

After a long day, I appreciate checking in and finding you had replied @therealwolf. Thank you.

It should be well known ...

Oh? By who? New to our Steem Community, I did not know or I wouldn't have written my request. And simply judging by the responses here to your comment, as I mentioned, @whatsup obviously knew, but apparently @gmichelbkk did not ...

Thank you again @therealwolf, for taking the time you did to reply, including a link to you and your team. In my Month 1 Update post, I discuss my first impressions of bots, but I will research it some more now, after reading all that has been written in this post.

Steemin’ along and on the move ... Posted using Partiko Android

Thank you very much @roleerob for asking questions that are useful to this thread.

It is shameless self-promotion by using every dick opportunity to paint the other in a poor light. Mr bean for the win imo

If the author doesn't correct the post, can you please correct it here in the comments and tell what is the real APR and which position smartsteem would stand in the list? I currently have a lot of steem in binance and i was thinking of moving here and investing on a bot and i'm trying to decided which one.
Thank you @therealwolf

Thank you very much @ninegags for encouraging me to review the data and I corrected the post accordingly @therealwolf. One payment in Steem came up later that day that I didn't see in the Steemit wallet probably because of time difference and for more than a week there were no Steem. My apologies.
smartsteem.jpg
What I want the most is accurate data and if you want to delegate @ninegags, do the calculations for a period close to the day you want to delegate.

Many people enjoy the craziness of a mr bean ride hahahaha

@phoneinf, I guess that no one predicted that this silly character would be so popular around the world.

Thank you for your comment @therealwolf. I collected data for all bots on the same days and this is what came out.

I do not say that one bot is better than the other, I just present the facts and encourage readers to investigate further before delegating.

I am glad that you found a bot that you are comfortable delegating to and I invite anyone who disagrees with the results to do another run for all bots and collect data on the same days.

It's his service, not one he delegates to. :)

Thank you for your input @whatsup.

@gmichelbkk - This is all very good information, but I think delegators need to seriously consider not only the returns offered by various bots, but also what type of content those bots are upvoting.

Some of the bots which are lower down on your list have lower returns because they are much more aggressive in blacklisting abusers and have settings that help prevent spam.

Blacklists are typically not public, but before delegating to a bot I would ask them about their blacklist. Many on the top of the payout list have none, or very very small ones. Additionally it's important to look at the minimum post age allowed, which is published on https://steembottracker.com.

Bots that allow posts to be upvoted at less than 20 minutes open the door to lots of spam as users can just wait until the bot is about to vote before they post so that they can earn a large return by avoiding having any curation rewards taken out of the vote value.

There's a new site http://isteemd.com which does a good job of incorporating these factors as well as many others when determining which bots to delegate Steem Power to.

Thank you @yabapmatt for your comment. Yes, I agree that returns is not the only point to consider and that's why I got started with only 50% returns so the other 50% could be used to finance projects on Steem. I liked that option better. That's also why I delegate to other communities.

This case study is not intended to say which bot people should delegate to according to how they are set-up, with spam lists or not, but to show the facts with data collected on the same days for all.

This encourages comments like yours to explain that there are other factors as well to consider when delegating or using bots.

Thank you for mentioning the new site, which I will look at.

My experience with @jerrybanfield was that it was paying the lowest, while @tipu is the best (though I didn't delegate to tipu , but I have seen my friends are getting good returns)

@monajam, thank you for commenting. I am delegating to both of them in addition to other communities. I think diversification is a good idea.

Interesting! You have delegated to these 5

Never heard of @silvergoldbotty

Thank you for checking out my delegations. @silvergoldbotty is a community bot that upvote your quality posts according to your delegation once a day.

Thanks for mentioning @tipU :) I guess that picking one day may be risky because there's fluctuations between payouts each day but this method is perfectly understandable, taking how much work it needs :)

One of the better ways to compare profitability is:

  1. go to https://www.steemdesk.com/
  2. type in user @lavater (top right corner)
  3. go to delegations -> current

You can check total amount of payouts and APR for many bots because @lavater delegated exactly 1000 SP to 8 of them :) Current results for 40 last days:

bot - APR:
appreciator - 18.90 %
boomerang - 27.04 %
jerrybanfield - 19.77 %
postpromoter - 23.31 %
smartsteem - 22.18 %
therising - 25.90 %
tipu - 26.70 %
upmewhale - 25.87 %

It seems that Jerry's bot had a really good day when you took the data ;)

tipuvote! 2 for visibility :)

Thank you for your comment @cardboard, but I took the data on seven days to make an average of the low and highs, not one day.

Thank you very much also for showing me this site, this is interesting. I still prefer to do the calculations myself because I am sure data is collected on the same period for all bots.

The screenshot shows delegations that start at different days, and days delegated are not the same, some with 40 and some with 10 or 23. This can't be compared in my opinion.

I agree that during the time frame I chose some bots may have had a bad day or a good day making the results as they are.

I may do that again in a month and see how it goes.

Sorry, had to misunderstand something.

The formula for APR displayed in the screenshot takes into account the amount of days delegated but I agree, the best way is to calculate it by yourself :)

You made a tremendous efforts for collecting all of this data you have shown us today. I think @jerrybanfield bot is the most used so it doesn't have any idle time so it is also the most profitable bot. You have a gifted talent on reading numbers and statistics. Thank you for making this. Followed you

Thank you @hiroyamagishi for your kind comment. It took a lot of time indeed and I hope this is useful for everyone to look at this in addition of their own research before delegating.

Delegate to small bots they gives better ROI big bots has many competition. @flymehigh giving good try out. If you delegates and promote it will upvote you. 😍

Thank you @atishdarpel for your feedback, and suggesting a small bot. I may write another case study taking in consideration smaller bots as you say.

I am going to make this statement once.

I was a delagator to JerryBanfield when I saw the 36% return rate CLAIM.

I have seen the fact that you and he cross promote.

4 months ago I was tracking and calculating my return for 3 weeks at no time was that the rate was not even CLOSE TO 24% AT SIMPLE INTEREST.

I have seen him make a claim to reduce his return rates multiple times and now over the last couple of weeks he said he is closing his bot and undelegating all the the SP and closing the Bot Down.

And now he opens a new one with no return guaranties because if a "bot misses a vote after at least six hours from sending the bid", "visit https://jerrybanfield.com/contact/ for help in discord!"

RECHARGE CYCLE TIME IS UNDER 3 HRS.

SO AT MINIMUM HE IS ASKING TO MOVE THE BIDS BETWEEN PERIODS TO MAXIMIZE PROFITS,
WHICH IS NOT A BID BOT

OR WORSE if you don't get your bid from banfield's bot...you might think you have because of other upvotes, and because he did not AUTOMATICALLY REFUND, you may lose your money because you did not contact him through a second non-steemit platform.
ESSENTIALLY GAMING PEOPLE, TAKING MONEY AND HOPING THEY DO NOT RESPOND ON A DISCORD CHANNEL.

Thank you very much @richatvns for saying this only once. The numbers in my case study are the numbers for a given week for all bots so they can be compared. This is because of claims like you say from different bots that I decided to see by myself in the delegators' wallets what exactly the get.

You should also probably be clear that you delegate to Jerry so have a vested interest in seeing him grow in strength as a witness and bot owner..

Thank you for your comment @mazzle. It is perfectly clear because in the post I say that the calculation for his bot are made using my own payouts. I could have picked another user, but I wanted to see for my own delegation, and me delegating to him or not has nothing to do with the results of the study because I delegate even more to other bots.

please do another study for one month data

I agree that this would be great @steemero, but a lot of work. I will think about it.

I must have misread that part. My bad.

Your post mainly bothers me since you're calling for witness votes to Jerry in all of your posts. Jerry is well known for being a bad egg on this platform so it's concerning to see someone post something that makes it seem as if he does good for Steemit. He doesn't and is only here for his own benefit. Do some research.

I am glad that you feel this thread is a safe place to voice your opinion. Me voting for Jerry as a witness together with 7,000 plus other users on Steem, I believe, has nothing to do with the results of the study. You have the right to your opinion as I have the right to mine. Thank you again @mazzle for making the discussion interesting.

Nice
I like your style .. for more creativity
Thanks for sharing..

Thank you very much @slimanepro, I am glad that you like my style.

No. Please don't.
Here's Why I won't support Jerry Banfield anymore written by @meno.

Jerry's bot is subject to change at anytime without notice. It has only been running at that APR for a short period of time. Also, during that time he converted to JBC and did not payout for a few days before he relaunched the bot and cancelled JBC.

Thank you @fow for your comment and I agree that APR can change for all bots in a given period of time. It all depends on bot usage, value of Steem and SBD, etcetera. I may write a second post in a month's time to see how it goes or you might write your own.

This post is not a question of supporting anyone and I am not interested to read posts and comments on Steem that attacks others. My case study shows the fact for a week period and that's all.

Very insightful indeed. May likely just go with delegating my SP soon if the APRs are really that high. Thanks.

Thank you for your comment @mawit07, I am glad this is useful. Even for the lower APRs it is still pretty good.

Wow you put a lot of time and effort in to this. I was wondering the same thing so I'm very happy I found this post.

Thank you very much @cdemon for your comment and recognizing that a post like that takes a lot of times.

thank you for your hard work. i will delegate when i will have 1000 sp

Thank you @steemero for your comment and I am glad that the post can help you decide where to delegate. You don't need to wait 1000 SP, you can start right now with 10 SP. It's what I do, I start small and every couple of days I add more to my delegation. It gives it a kind of compound effect.

Thanks for taking the time to collect all of this information, Michel!

I am glad that it is useful @jo3potato. That was a bit overwhelming, especially for the bot that has several payouts per day!

Bots are also bidding to upvote this post:)

@autofreak, thank you for commenting.

And what about using that stake to self vote
instead, granting you full flexibility? Since we are talking about maximization of stake here.

I agree about your summary point one @eonwarped, don't use bots for profit, but exposure. Point to, I don't know how my 10 cents self vote can give me the same exposure, so I don't upvote myself, upvote all the comments on my posts and use bid bots.

Are you sure about those numbers? How recent was this?
http://isteemd.com/
Is Isteemd working.
You can also delegate to humans for a set ROI
https://www.minnowbooster.net/market?direction=asc&sort=effective_price
I'll probably be lucky if I can get down to 30% ROI using minnowbooster delegations but ideally I would "only" like to pay out a 25% set APR.

Thank you @mysearchisover for your comment. Yes, I am sure about the data that was collected on June 2, 18. I spent enough time to make sure the calculations are accurate. Thank you for mentioning that there are other options and that might encourages someone to do a case study on them.

You handle yourself quite genuinely, there's a lot to be said for that. You addressed concerns and took out what others may seen as bias, kudos to you. Everything is a learning curve, a process so I appreciate a straight player.

Thank you very much for your comment and kind words @sunlit7. This is the most difficult post I have written on Steemit.

I don't understand why people are supporting this scam of upvote bot. In simple word I explain I pay 1sbd to a upvoting bot, the bot give me a upvote of value of 1.8USD or maybe less. Than after a week it take 25% curation reward. So when the payout comes to me, i get way less than the value of transfered sbd. What kind of fraud is this going on I paying for upvote and still getting less than my actual value of my transfered sbd. The bot are already getting curation reward for there upvotes but they still asking to pay for there upvotes. Upvote other for free will not damage such high SP but they're still charging sbd and steem for there upvotes. People are more idoits that they are supporting such a scam were they don't even earn anything instead of that they are continuously delegating there SP. The big STEEMIAN like @jerrybenfield and @joeparys are talk making steemit a better platform and on there side they charged sbd and steem to give there prescious upvote any stupid content just for the sake of few sbd. Whole bots upvote system is based on lie and fraud and the new steemians with high SP investment are getting trapped in it. Plz all STEEMIAN open your eyes and support each to make this platform more connctive and efficient instead of wasting your valuable sbd, steem and Steem power to these fraud and scammy upvote bots

Because you don't understand the math and how the blockchain works, doesn't make something a fraud.

Have I said blockchain a fraud. I said the whole upvote bot thing is a fraud because they charged money for There upvotes. Show to people that they are upvote 200% more than what you have paid to them.but when you do maths which I think you don't even know basic maths. At the time of pay out and deduct the curation reward from the final payout you are left with way less than what you have paid. And this upvote bot made whole system corrupt because of you have high number of sbd in your account you can easily buy upvotes from these bot for any crap and lame content you post. Instead of that bot should upvote only good content free of charge if this happen that how steemit become better place or it will remain a platform for those who can post only crap and pay high number of sbd for upvotes

I agree @whatsup, thank you.

Thank you for your comment @changingworld. You are using bots for the wrong reasons. Using bots is a way to advertise your posts so they are seen by a bigger audience. Your posts consequently get more rewards and people who upvote them, curate them, get more curation rewards than they would have not promoting the post.

What you want is to pay for advertising, get your post advertised and then get your advertising money back and more. I don't know of a place that can do that, certainly not Facebook ads.

Because upvote bots are not for printing SBD but for promoting the post. Have you seen a company that lets you buy an ad on TV and then pays you back more than you paid?:)

Dude there a big difference between tv commerical and social media. We are not selling any products here. People are sharing feeling, experience and knowledge through these platforms Have you ever seen this of thing on YouTube and Facebook were you pay others to watch there videos if it's true then videos like Gangnam style and despacito have become popular because they promoted it well and big vlogger like pewdiepie earn more 50 million subscribers buy pay millions doller to YouTube . It means on steemit you can promote any crap by pay few extra bucks wow you guys will evolve this platform to death by doing so.

Thanks @gmichelbkk for sharing such important informations about Steem Delegations to Bots. I am also thinking about this a couple of days ago but did not know about full procedure and info. now i get guideline and updates from your article and get a chance for this offer.

Thank you @rabeel for your comment and letting me know that it is useful because it took a lot of time to research an write.

@gmichelbkk, I am glad that you got Reward of your Hardworking and Research. How can I contact to @jerrybanfield for delegation.

There is also THIS TOOL for delegating.

Thank you very much for showing us another possibility @fbslo.

The best is to use this tool: https://helloacm.com/tools/steemit/sp-delegate-form/
Just enter your username, the username of the bot you want to delegate to and amount of SP. You may want to read my post about it: https://steemit.com/steemit/@gmichelbkk/how-to-delegate-steem-power-easily

You can also use command like:
I want to delegate 100 SP to @juliawilliams (an example:)

Hi @cardboard! Special squad of highly trained hamsters prepared this delegation link for you:
steemconnect 100.0 SP delegation to @juliawilliams.

Thank you sir for your kind ❤️

This is very useful @cardboard and something I have to try doing more often. I want to delegate 1000 SP to @gmichelbkk (an example:)

Hi @gmichelbkk! Special squad of highly trained hamsters prepared this delegation link for you:
steemconnect 1000.0 SP delegation to @gmichelbkk.

This comment section right now

is on faya !!

Yes it is @itstime... I have trouble keeping up with all the comments as I want to respond to all of them!

I like your zen filled responses....

Thank you very much @itstime.

drug of choice before responding to comments ?

Very helpful post. Thank you.

I am glad you like it.

Very thorough analysis. I had been hoping to see something like this myself like many others have said. Even after being here 6 weeks, I still don't fully understand the voting bots and how they end up paying out to a point where it seems hardly worth using them. On the surface, it seems like there is a real science to it in order to be profitable though. I'd love to figure that out. This is a great analysis for when you want to delegate though. It is hard to beat some the returns you speak of just by delegation even with posting and being active every day unless someone has a different secret they can tell me that can increase my account value by 30% more often than in a year without feeding it. Thank you.

Thank you @inspire1 for commenting and I am glad that it is useful for you. I wanted to see the data by myself and it's why I did it because as you said bots are complicated.

Thanks, now we know in which order to hang the effigies!

Getting rewards not voted to you because the community liked your content invalidates proof of brain.
There is no question that at some point the community will terminate the cancer that is vote selling.

Now we have the data of who needs to make the most amends to be allowed back into the community.

If the commnity refuses to vote your content, its an f'n clue.
Buying rewards is not going to improve your standing in any community except the brown nosers playing the bidbot game.

Take this clue.
Stop abusing the pool by hiring bullies to take rewards for you, put out good content, be socialable, and when the time comes you will be on the right side of the backlash.

Yes exactly right! I have yet to pay to play. They havent gotten on cent off me and they arent going to anytime soon.

The time is coming, we just need our own developers to write the code, stinc loves the scammers.

Thank you for commenting @old-guy-photos.

It's a sad state of affairs indeed. Who would have thought Steemit would degenerate into this, and people being enthousiastic about it? Oh well.

It is sad. Yet. I am happy to say I have never paid a penny for a vote. I am still here, although not very big, I am still having fun!

Everybody is enthusiastic in the beginning, that newness will wear off, and then they will want our approval.

Once we get control of the platform from the schemers it will be up to us to exact reparations from them.

Until we get developers to write the code, the schemers continue to control the platform.
Hopefully, we get control back before stinc runs out of bigger fools and the coin is poisoned in the minds of the masses as a scam.

Thank you very much for your comment @freebornangel and giving us your opinion about bid bots.

Its too bad the bullies have forced pay to play on us, i would have added you to my steemvoter, you have some good content.

As it is, ive followed you, but your payouts are larger than i vote on.
Its pretty rare to get me to vote a post with more than 2sbd.

Thanks again for commenting.

Wow amazing post, great research and report put together.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback @saltycat. This is what makes me want to write more.

It's great to read your post, I read all your posts, much to learn from your post, much to know, I hope you are looking forward to such a beautiful post from you, you go forward, we are always with you, steemit A big flat platform! All our favorite sites, we all are here to build careers, since I am new here, so I want to help you with all of your help! Your! Hope you can get all the help you need on steemit, if you like, if you like, you can also improve yourself steemit! Thank you for posting a good post.

Thank you very much @mdselim98 for your kind comment. Feedback like yours encourages me to take the time to write useful posts like this one.

Great article @gmichelbkk, I appreciate you taking the time to show us where you got the info from and how you did the calcs.

Note also that some bots are compensating for the tumble in price plus the reduced SBD print rate recently that has left bid bots under voting substantially. Where I was expecting 10% more than even over the last couple of weeks I received as low as -20% less than even. An over valuation by the bid bots of over 30%

This may account for the lower ROI on some bots. Eg I believe @therealwolf added a buffer in last week so payouts to bot investors may be less than usual. Those bot owners who didn't compensate will make higher returns for their investors.

Thank you very much for your kind comment and explaining about the lower ROI because of the current price situation. The data was collected on 2 June for the previous 7 days, so this might be different now.

jerrybanfield is not a good one

Thank you for your feedback.

pleasure is all mine sir...

it is really great to learn you blogs

Hi gmichelbkk,

Could you tell me how much money one needs to place on a good article to get it on the trending page?

This will depends on the topic @carolynseymour. An article about cooking may require much less than one about Steemit. The best would be just to look at the trending page for an article on the topic you write and see how much they have on it when they just showed up.

ok. So, are you saying that I can look on the trending page and see how much one person paid for a vote? Do I have to do this in busy or use Steemit. Just wondering how it's done. Thank you.

As you see them popping up in the trending page, you can check their account using other tools and see what they have paid for bots. I'll show that in the tutorial.

Thank you for the video @carolynseymour. What you see are the rewards whether or not you are using bots. I will write a tutorial to answer your particular question with step by step screenshots that I will post in about 9 hours from now. That will be useful for other people who have the same question.

Thats great for you to answer my question. Im sure others may benefit as well as myself. Thanks.

The post is up and I hope it is useful for you: How Much Rewards Do We Need to Reach the Trending Page?

https://steemit.com/steemit/@gmichelbkk/how-much-rewards-do-we-need-to-reach-the-trending-page

Thanks ive been looking for this!

My pleasure @marcovugts. I am glad that this is useful.

A another great post mate @gmichelbkk . This is so helpful to judge which bot is profitable. It's really glad to know. Actualy i did not know about this. I was delegated my SP to @smartsteem but its not profitable for me. Thank you for your informative post mate.

@re-blogged, thank you for your comment. This post is not intended to direct delegations from a bot to another because APR is moving from time to time. When you are ready to delegate to a bot, just do a calculation like I did to see where it is at and see also the other options the bot offers.

I want to be like that but I do not have any power what, what should I do to be able to join you?

Thank you very much for your comment @takin. You still can start with 10 SP on a bot that you like.

just input me to your bot first let me can get a little result from the game steemit so I'm very play, until now I have not supported any one hope you are the number one for me here, because I really want to also help the steemian small but I do not have any power what

I don't personally have a bot @takin, thank you for commenting.

no thank you, if I may ask for your support I'm very grateful

thank you for the research it helped me to pick a great person to delegate to ,,, keep up the great work

I am glad this is useful for you @easybot.

Congratulations @gmichelbkk!
Your post was mentioned in the Steemit Hit Parade in the following categories:

  • Comments - Ranked 7 with 138 comments
  • Pending payout - Ranked 4 with $ 820,39

Thank you very much @arcange. A post being mention is always pleasurable.

I didn't have to choose between your 1st, @jerrybandfield and your 2nd, @smartsteem.
Someone pointed me to the second first at one subreddit when we were talking about POS coins staking. And I picked your first second when I found your other post, https://steemit.com/steemit/@gmichelbkk/how-to-delegate-steem-power-easily
Thank you for that particular post. I helps me learn how to delegate and also where to check my stats, balance, etc.

Now that I got a hang of it, I enjoy Steem and Steemit a bit more :-)

Thank you @luckyolddaddy for your kind comment, I am glad that my posts are useful for you, and that you enjoy Steem and Steemit a bit more now.

Hi @luckyolddaddy! I`m here to help :) If you want to delegate, please make a comment (for example replay to this one) like this:
I want to delegate X sp to @user
Where X is the amount of SP and @user is the steem user you want to delegate to. For example:
I want to delegate 100 sp to @gmichelbkk
Hope this helps!:)

I already delegated all of my SP to the two users mentioned above. Thanks.

Thank you @tipu for this easy method of doing delegations.

Yeah, it's pretty nifty ;)

@cardboard Do you have a post explaining how this work?

Nope, maybe I should do a tutorial for utopian? Basically @tipU is monitoring the blockchain all the time and when it finds comment with words "delegate x sp to @user" it just takes the x amount of sp and @user name and creates a steemconnect delegation link. It's really simple :)

Thank you @cardboard, simple for you, magic for us!

I want to delegate .22 sp to @tipu

Hi @luckyolddaddy! Special squad of highly trained hamsters prepared this delegation link for you:
steemconnect 0.22 SP delegation to @tipu.

awesome! I'll try it the next time.

very interesting information!

Thanks a lot again @sweettais, I am glad that this is useful.

Amazing article and very eye opening, thanks for sharing! Can't wait to see what you write next.

Thank you very much @pheonixdown-dee for your kind words. I already have a new post published today on another topic.

I am still trying to understand how to use bots, I thing it is a great use and it we can use well, but I am minnow so I have hard work to do on Steemit..

Thank you @yonilkar for your comment. Use bots with small amounts and learn in the process.

Thanks for the answer, I will gradually use bots of your list.

This post received upvote from @tipU :) | @gmichelbkk now has a chance to win free @steembasicincome share :) | For vote buyers | For investors.

Thank you @tipu. I admit I have a thing for you!

Thanks Michel for sharing a valuable information. It will give us a lot of benefits

I am glad that this is useful for you @tanveerali. This encourages me to write more posts like this one.

Thank you @gmichelbkk for sharing this information and for take the time for the explanation about bots.

I am glad that this is useful for you @xondie. Thank you for commenting.

You made a tremendous efforts for collecting all of this data you have shown us today. I think @jerrybanfield bot is the most used so it doesn't have any idle time so it is also the most profitable bot. You have a gifted talent on reading numbers and statistics. Thank you for making this

Thank you very much @hiroyamagishi for your kind comment. I made the effort because this is something I wanted to know for myself and this was a good opportunity to share it with you all. I don't know which bot is the most used, there are also bots we can't delegate to and don't know the APR for their owners, there are smaller bots that might be interesting too.

Thanks for the in-depth research! I've been delegating my newly bought STEEM power to @jerrybanfield. I haven't researched much because I want to get into the game quickly. I just followed your delegation because I trust your judgement on STEEM things. Afterwards my research just verified that it was a good choice :D

Thank you @zhuwa for your comment and I am glad that my post helped you to make a choice. Good that you also did your research and I am glad that it confirms some of the data here. Anyone can so this for themselves using the same calculations I showed here.

Interesting amalysis to bring the clear picture ....@jerrybanfield bot still active..??.i think it was closed. As per last announcement

Thank you @steemflow for your comment. Yes, the bot is re-started because it seems that it is what everyone wanted.

Thank you dear @gmichelbkk for the detailed explanation about bots. I want to read everything again tomorrow.

Thank you also that you have taken a lot of time, calculated some, so that I have now easier, thanks

Thank you @jaklassen for your kind comment. I am glad it is useful for you and you ca take some time to digest the information and also do some of the calculations yourself.

U can delegate to alfanso bid bot. It gives minimum ROI to bidder of 5%.

And it does not discriminate by maintaining blacklists or whitelists.

Bot that maintain blacklists are actually never return the bid of blacklisted authors and that is cheating.

Alfanso believes in complete freedom.

Thank you @prameshtyagi for your comment and giving us your opinion about bid bots and how blacklists and whitelists can promote discrimination. I understand what you say because some authors are blacklisted just on the basis that the blacklister do not understand the language it is written in, and concludes that it is abuse.

Thank u for your understanding

Thanks a lot for this info. You cleared most of my doubts about bots. But I have to ask you that: For a new user of steemit like me, what would be the best bot to maximise profit if the max I can invest is 1SB per post?
Please help me out on this...

Thank you @rajmehta for your comment and question. I don't have an answer for you because I believe bots should be used for promotion not profit. There are so many factors to take into account, you can't predict. Some days you might profit, some others not, but if you make an average for one month, this will be most likely profitable.

Oh thanks a lot. I will make sure that I use it for promotions.

Thank you @rajmehta3007 for the comment, but the post is relevant for delegators, not promoters.

No matter how useful and profitable the bots are! I believe myself and do trading on my own!!!

This is excellent @sambhav because it's what I'd like to do more and more.
