So how are you all feeling after this past roller coaster of a week in the crypto market? I, for one, am growing weary of the FUD from all of the usual sources. After you’ve been through a few cryptocurrency market cycles it becomes fairly predictable. It’s still tough to see new investors falling for the same scare tactics again and again. This time the drop was different and a little more significant because of all of the leverage trading going on.
A lot of people (myself included) are talking about how they don’t think celebrities like Elon Musk should be allowed to manipulate the market with Tweets. I think the same should hold true for governments and financial institutions. I saw two separate news articles within just a few days, the first said Goldman Sachs is reconsidering Bitcoin as a viable asset due to its extreme volatility. A few days later, after BTC bottomed out I saw an article where GS is reinstating their support for Bitcoin. Ridiculous.
Governments and banks are clearly crashing the market to acquire more coins at lower price points. This is the greatest indicator for me that individual investors shouldn’t be short-sighted and should be hodling for the long term.

I see people who were once vibrant, creative, and optimistic individuals lost in the seemingly infinite downward spiral of rabbit holes, unable to see the bright side of anything.

Yeah, the FUD has been nuts lately. It's the same old stuff too, so you would think people would know better, but obviously not. I've been doing my best to just tune it out and check the markets every now and then to see if the lull is over. Until then, not much else I can do but keep on keeping on! My wife and I just started watching the third season of Mayans MC the other night. I have a feeling we will be through it fairly quickly. There are only like 10 episodes. Then we might start watching Snowfall. Awesome news with the book! Congrats on that!
Yeah, it's so hard to watch the newer investors for for this stuff again and again but it's all part of the learning process. If you realize what's going on you can profit from it. I've heard the Mayans is really good but we haven't watched it yet. Thanks @bozz! These next few weeks will be exciting for sure.
If you plan on starting to watch Mayans you should watch Sons of Anarchy first if you haven't seen that. It will help some things make more sense. Yeah, I am happy just hodling and waiting. I bought some BTC last week on the way down the first time and ended up buying a little too soon!
We haven't seen SOA either. We're always looking for new things to watch though. We'll definitely give it a try. I'm following the same plan with crypto right now. It's so tough to time the exact bottom or the exact top. In five or ten years' time BTC will have risen so much it won't really matter what price you bought at, the important thing is you bought some.
Yeah, I feel the same way about BTC. That is why I am trying to get some of my friends into it now.
Now is a great time to jump in. I've tried to convince a few people as well.
Honestly, the market lately has been so disheartening 🤦, at times I said to myself if all this could just go away that we need the market back loaded "full of basket" but you know what i also discovered, everything has it own time and it's turn by turn so I strongly believe that everything will be good infact more than good, good sales all the way 💪
It’s been a tough couple of weeks, for sure. The market is recovering nicely now but nothing is ever guaranteed.

Thank you! I'm very happy with it. It's been a challenge to get the publisher to accept the cover, the software they use keeps falsely flagging the splashes on cover image as crop marks. Hopefully we can get that resolved soon.
The article is hilarious. It reminds me of Peter Schiff's Twitter feed. He's continuously crapping on cryptocurrency due to the fact his business and reputation are so intertwined with stocks and precious metals. His Twitter feed is pure gold. : )
It always makes me wonder how people can fall hook line and sinker for it. My 74 year old Dad will spout that stuff, and I literally can tell what article he's read! 'Dad,' I'll say 'have you thought about it this way?' and he'll listen and be fairly open minded and intelligent, but STILL he falls for the mainstream media's viewpoint! Lol. The Betoota Advocate is brilliant satire - very Australian in many ways, but still quite a few good observations on human behaviour and our foibles.

I think it's mainly the noobs who fall for the FUD. There's a new crop of them all the time so it's been pretty effective up to this point. This will stop being as effective the more mainstream crypto becomes. I think most people's brains lose some of their plasticity over time as they age as well so new concepts are more difficult to grasp. I'm glad I learned about crypto before I got to that point. Lol.
I'll have to check out more of the Advocate's stuff. I love that kind of thing. Have you ever read The Onion?
Thank you! I'm very happy with the cover. I always get a bit nervous before a book launch. It's so tough these days to market self-published books. There was a golden age (2008-2014) where it was easy to get organic outreach on social media but that's not the case anymore. You have to pay for engagement and it's not cheap. Hopefully the bitcoin easter egg in this one will drum up some interest and doesn't come off as too gimmicky.
I have been watching Shtisel, it's very entertaining and surprisingly fun, it has some good dramatic moments also 😄, good to see that more people appreciates it as i do.
It’s so well written and the acting is superb. Season 3 started to get a little too dark at first but now things seem to be working themselves out. It’s been fun to learn about how these orthodox communities live as well.

I struggled with some of the outlandish news and theories overtaking me as well. We were so bombarded with them over the past year. That podcast put a lot of things into perspective for me. I'm saddened by how many people in the crypto community have fallen for some of the more extreme theories. I see so many people who are wrapped up in the conspiracy theories and "drawing lines in the sand", alienating anyone who doesn't believe the same things they do. These are intelligent people who were once vibrant and happy but now are paranoid, hesitant to believe anything good is left in the world. It's sad. I may start gifting the book the podcast guest wrote! Lol. Meditation or any kind of introspection is a great weapon against falling victim to this too.
