Trucker Becomes Coder
At the beginning of September 2025, Nestor and Moana sat down together and made a plan:
Now that, with the help of Moana, Nestor had become a trucker, he would now teach her out to design and write safe and secure software, using tools that he had used for years.
Nestor would buy a small self-driving electric truck and use it to test the software they would write.
They would install solar panels on the 2500 m2 in the back of Nestor land and would buy a hydrogen production unit, initially for Moana's truck and later for another semi-truck to be bought later.
At some point, they would create their own company and they would keep complete control of it.
Once they both agreed on the plan, they started to implement it.
Moana knew already how to code, but she had to learn a completely different way of writing software.
Every day, when they were together, either at home or on the road, Nestor would teach Moana his way of designing and writing code. He also gave her books and article to read, and he gave her homework.
Moana often questions the process and most of the time Nestor would patiently explain the reasons why it was so. However, from time to time, Nestor discovered that the process could be made better.
After three months of this regime, Moana felt that she was ready to do real software work, and Nestor agreed. So, she started to help him in his project for self-driving electric truck software.
The trucker had become a coder.
