In Star Trek: First Contact, the black lady asked Picard where all the money came from to make spaceships and how much money. Picard lied in saying there was no money as there is money and always will be money. But of course we know what he was trying to say was much more nuance and such.

Since the dawn of time, humans have had different currencies for money, trading, bartering, transactions, renting, loaning, lending, borrowing, leasing, giving things away, exchanges, etc, meaning we have done a variety of things. You sometimes have a type of currency that a particular country or store may not accept.

Crusher must have gave away some of her belongings in order to accumulate the kind of money they would accept. She most likely used the currency to buy the stuff.

If Star Trek official canon is not clear on this or conflicted between the creator and the writers over the years, then this would be the easiest way to explain it away, that humans and other species from earth would sell whatever they could to anybody who had currencies and they would hold on to a wide variety of different currencies so they could use them if need be depending on which planets they may visit.

Humans do this today. I was teaching English in Vietnam and would collect Vietnamese Dong. You could collect Pounds and a wide variety of things. If you have no money, then find things to sell to them and get the money. Then you got the money.

Dark passenger. A circle sometimes. Some things don't make you feel better, a waste of time. Dear diary, got up at 10:40 AM. Sunny. Left hand exercise. I say to the hamster I have food, come here, she wakes up and comes similar to my mice, guineapigs, I'm training this pet. Not my hamster but been feeding it a bit while here. Moving upstairs to the room of the den. What was the den. Karate Kid Daniel Son. Good movie. Sunday is the day I plan to return. ALex Jones. Helping move things over like yesterday. Drove the Gator back from the mail around 3 PM. Other than that, went along for the ride several times back and forth like yesterday but better weather today. Lunch, 03:43 PM. Organizing the garage. Dinner. We took him to his other house in the Gator. I waved my hand to the man by that door. Shakira was the one who got the keys even as I was encouraging him to do in the blankets he was in most of the day. We had fun today riding around, no mail. Organizing, sunny day, making friends with the dogs as usual as they bark with the dog treats and bone treats. Making friends with the old and new cats. More so the one old cat and not the other old cat or the new cat who is not even a year old yet. Organizing that garage some more. Helped with one last load from the Snow White house back to the main house around like 8 PM. I was back in organizing to 10 PM, shelf near garage door and man hole as in between the two doors. 2 wheel things, a wagon and the other thing in a place behind the van. 2 plastic drawers on the shelf in the shop room in back. To think we both broke things be it glass, clay, etc, by accident, me in the garage and the other person downstairs, if it makes you feel better we human too, funny story of driving, not Shakira down that path by the water faucet which is in the middle of the two houses. You take that path down off the car trail and you have to make a tight turn but off the path and we had to pick it up and move it as the front right wheel was hanging and not resting the ground. We got it out. I drove it around back to safety and out of the edge of a cliff and sticker bushes around like 02:00 PM today, good story we will never talk about said Shakira during dinner.

Breakfast: coffee, tangerine, oatmeal, 11:39 AM.
Lunch: more oatmeal, 03:43 PM.
Dinner: mash potatoes, green beans or something, meatballs, 07:00 PM apx.
