I have decided to prove to her that the game can be played without spending huge amounts of steem.
I have been inactive here on Steemit for a long time but I will now try and share with you my findings on whether or not it is possible to play this game without taking out a second mortgage to fund it.
Here are my account stats so far...
Although they may not seem fantastic, I am hopeful that once the battle mode is activated I will be in a good position to steal from the rich and give to the poor... or keep it for myself! mwahahaha (evil laugh).
I will keep you updated on any tips and tricks that I pick up along the way and also keep a tally on profit/loss. You can see the daily figures in the comments below kindly provided by the bookkeeping bot.

I spent a tiny bit on the game, but it didn't really grab me. Someone set me as a referrer, so that will get me my money back. I think we met at the Steem Camp event last year. Good to see you are posting again. I'm trying to organise something to promote small users and get their SP up. It's in early stages, but a post like this would qualify for my support.
@steevc I appreciate your support. I think it was her Brother you met at the event last year as I was with the dogs and our son at home. She enjoyed the event from what I gather and did mention you and a couple of others who have been supporting her journey too so thanks for that. I'm not really a blogger but I thought it would be fun to have a go at this game and try and keep a track of it here.

I don't mind investing a little as I earn from the game, but I want to see if I can play this game without investing large amounts . For example I have spent 0.078 steem so far which I think is reasonable and my profit is now 0.132 steem, so I would be happy to invest that back into the game. What I don't want to do is use non game-earned steem to fund the game. It is a fun experiment for me so we shall see how it goes
I spent roughly $35 in Steem right off the bat, but now I don't think I'll have to spend anymore. I've been making massive upgrades to my production with only my resources. My army is huge, and at some point, I figure the in-game resources will be tradable/sellable. That will take it to another level.
Just this morning, spending only resources, I made a Pharm Lab upgrade that would've cost 30 Steem.
I'm excited about the game. I think it offers plenty of incentive for new players to spend a little bit, but only at the beginning. I'm excited to see what the future holds!
Absolutely thrilled to hear this! The game has to be self sustaining else people will move on from it and it will fade away. I am starting really small just to prove a point to my wife if I am honest lol but we shall see. I may yet catch the bug and invest. Only time will tell.
