You were even kind enough to follow up on me and check whether I received your suggestions!! Currently I'm suffering a bronchitis which is why I haven't been publishing new videos lately. First I need to recover, and then I can shoot new footage. So no rush is mandatory for me...:-) Probably my next video will be from the Alpes in Switzerland where I go for skiing in March. Then we'd need a different sound.

When starting on steemit I never had the idea of quitting. One year later there was a point in time when I considered leaving, but that was only due to some idiots who tried to tear me down :-) You overcome such moments by focussing on the positive, by surrounding yourself by nice people and by looking back how far you've come. Setting clear targets for your Steem journey also helps in the beginning. Define some goals, and then work towards them.
I love your smile, so genuine and warm! I can't help but start smiling when I see your videos and how happy you look :) I'm glad steemit has been able to change your life. I'm still trying to find my place and joy on steemit, but I am sure I will once I have the time to truly commit to the site!

I can tell you that you'll never be fully committed, there will be ups and downs. This place is constantly changing and sometimes you love it and sometimes you don't :-) What I've learned so far is that the most important thing is that you try to do 'your thing'. Just use Steem and all these apps like you want and in the rhythm you can, don't feel pushed or forced to do or say anything you don't want. It's just a game in the end. Many people go crazy about it and sometimes debate ends up in silly drama. That's not the way a website (which it is in the end) should influence our lives... Real life is taking place outside our computers :-)
Oh you're so right! :) I try as much as possible to stay off my phone/computer so it is kind of conflicting with me also wanting to spend more time on steemit. I've definitely had a bunch of ups and downs so far and they will most likely continue. It's good to hear that they happen for you as well :) I guess I just have to go with it, follow my moods and bursts of inspiration and see where they take me :P

It pretty much depends on your general fitness level. If you're in shape, it's easy. What you need in any case is: balance! Many surfers do yoga in their free time to improve their stability on the board.

Have just seen your last vlog. I know that scary feeling pretty well. Blogging- or even vlogging - daily is a huge commitment that might bring you to your limits. I needed creative breaks along the way in order to refill my energy deposits, otherwise I would have gone burned fast.

I haven't been surfing in Indonesia, but I have a friend who did and said it's awesome. Spain... I have no idea, haha. Just came to know the waves on Canary Islands. Portugal is also a blast which I was able to find out during last Steemfest :-)
