Unfortunately I was not able to attend service today. I travel for an event, so I had to use the morning hours to go back to my base, so I couldn't attend service today.
But later in the evening I will be attending Rotary meeting. All the same the Sunday is going well, it was raining heavily were I went to, but surprisingly when I landed Uyo the capital city of Akwa Ibom, it was not raining, just cloudy.

We were taught about church growth and we were made to know that if there would be growth in church then there must be growth at home. We must re-train ourselves to change for good, marriages must be better, parental guidance must improve and family as a whole must be okay before it can extend to the church as we are also the church.

Phew 🥹, i feel elated for over a thousand and one reasons, one of the reasons being the fact that i am here now, i am back to where it all started and guess what guys i am here to stay, since i am on holiday, anyways lets get back to the topic of the day…
I honestly can’t remember the last time i went to church but the last thing i remember about what was taught in church weeks ago was Honest and wholehearted service. This was a topic i paid utmost attention to when the youth leader was talking to us about it in church…
This topic talked about the different men in the Bible who served God with all their might and power, it also talked about the unshakable faith these men had in the Lord even when they were being faced with different challenges and trials. An example of these men was JOB. Job was a righteous, God-fearing man, he experienced severe trials and afflictions and still didn’t loose faith in God. Job lost his properties, children, suffered both physically and mentally but still never caused God, it got to a point where his wife was used to test him, she tried and also failed, at the end God restored all that he had lost and even blessed him with long life…
In this story I learned a lot but the most important lesson was to always trust God even when all Hope seems lost and that was what Job did…
A great lesson I learnt from Jobs story…

Today's service was awesome, we were taught the deeper things about sowing and tithing. I didn't go out today, just spent time with family with lots of activities
sowing seeds and tithing is what many people take for granted in the house of God, i even know some people who see tithing as something they can't do, what they don't understand is more than what they understand. Hopefully the Lord will show himself to them one day. thanks for this and happy new week...

Generally, my best genre is gospel song although I listen to secular songs occasionally.
My go-to-song these days is Onyedikagi-by Mercy Chinwo featuring Glowrie.
It may not be a new song but it's new in my heart everyday. I love the lyrics, sound and meaning.

Listening to music for me goes well with my mood at that moment. But recently i just can't get "Disfruto" off my head. A romantic Spanish song By "Carla Morrison". How can so much affection be wrapped up in one song. The song described how sweet and tender love is. The song it's all about enjoying love and cherishing it.
Spanish love songs happen to be your recipe for this period. This is good. Love songs are good especially when one falls in love. It gladens the heart and invites affection.

So , I think yesterday the news of the demise of a popular legend, King of Highlife music in Akwa Ibom State hit the town.
And it was so pathetic, that he has gone so far after a brief illness. Sir Wilker Jackson is a popular artist who has been performing within and outside. So since yesterday, his songs has been popping up on Facebook, I think that's the work of algorithm.
So I have been listening to one of his songs that he loves singing any time he wants to go on the stage. The tittle of that song is " Play Play " a cool high life music. And early this morning, I also listened to one of his music " Akpa Ekaña" still cool high life. So I have been listening to those two song.

Recently I have been spending My weekends doing absolutely nothing, except maybe going to church. Today I have had to stay at home because my partner isn't feeling too well, but then it is nothing close to my usual Sundays, I have had a lot of things to be grateful for, had a lot of things to be worried about, but most especially created time to do some thinking.
My mum would always say health is wealth and today I got to understand better what she means. You don't know what God has done for you if you hardly fall sick because menh, medicines are expensive, but that's not all, even with how expensive they are you have to pray you were given a right prescription and not something that would have side effects based on certain conditions else you would be spending heavily before you can feel okay again. I got to understand why it is good to take the pain to eat well, and take the time to sleep well, else you would in pain treat whatever comes after.
