SEA NET
This is a tutorial post to show you how to make this model of the ¨Marine Collection¨... inspired by the beaches of the Dominican Republic, using blue colors with variations of shades and earthy colors like sand, incorporating textures and shapes from nature and creating compositions with movement.
It is very simple, you only need a glass/plastic container, acrylic paint, tape, stones, basting thread, soil and a plants.

Este es un post tutorial para mostrarles como hacer este modelo de la ¨Colección marina¨... inspirando en las playas de República Dominicana, utilizando colores azules con variaciones de matices y colores tierra como la arena, incorporando texturas y formas de la naturaleza y creando composiciones con movimiento.
Es muy simple, solo necesitas un envase de vidrio/plástico, pintura acrílica, tape, piedras, hilo de hilvanar, tierra y plantas.
The first step is to remove the wrapping paper, can be with your hands, in a plastic pot it´s easy.
To make the fabric, we cut 10 basting threads (twice the length of the container) we make a large knot and then we make knots two by two ... and then join with the neighbors.
When we pass the first three levels we place it in our container so that it adapts to the size, we can help ourselves with a little masking tape so that it stays fixed in some places ... We continue preparing the levels until we reach the neck of the container and then cut the leftovers.
We can adhere the fabric base with hot silicone so that it does not hang.
El primer paso es remover el papel envoltorio, puede ser con tus manos, cuando el envase es de plástico es fácil de quitar.
Para hacer el tejido cortamos 10 hilos de hilvanar (el doble del largo del envase) le hacemos un nudo grande y luego vamos haciendo nudos de dos en dos... y uniendo después con los vecinos.
Cuando pasamos los primeros tres niveles lo colocamos en nuestro envase para que se vaya adaptando al tamaño, nos podemos ayudar con un poco de masking tape para que se nos quede fijo en algunos lugares... Seguimos preparando los niveles hasta llegar a el cuello del envase y luego cortamos los sobrantes.
La base del tejido la podemos adherir con silicón caliente para que no cuelgue.
To finish it, I used a thick tape, and I glued it with hot silicone... as it bends on the inside, I added silicone points for greater resistance.
To finish the edge we fold it and glue it.
Para darle terminación utilicé una cinta gruesa, y la fuí pegando con silicón caliente... a medida que por adentro se va doblando le fuí coocando puntos de silicón para mayor resistencia.
Para terminar el borde lo doblamos y lo pegamos.
For the filling I used stones that I had from an old fish tank, washed them and painted them ... first I gave them three layers of white spray paint, to hide the pink color, for each layer I was rotating them.
When they dried I prepared in a plastic cup acrylic brown paint, with water ... I immersed part of the stones and moved them ... you have to do this process with all the others, and the degradation is achieved by adding white to the mixture.
As for the base, I recommend using a metal or glass tray... since if we use any material derived from paper it will stick to the acrylic paint, forming an unwanted layer.
Para el relleno utilicé piedras que tenía de una pecera vieja, las lave y las pinté... primero les dí tres capa de pintura en spray blanca, para ocultar el color rosado, para cada capa las iba rotando.
Cuando secaron preparé en un vaso plástico pintura marrón acrílica, con agua... sumergí una parte de las piedras y las moví... hay que hacer este proceso con todas las demás, y la degradación se consigue agregándole blanco a la mezcla.
En cuanto a la base, recomiendo utilizar alguna bandeja metálica o de cristal... ya que si utilizamos cualquier material derivado del papel se va a pegar de la pintura acrílica formando una capa no deseada.
It is time to fill the container ... first we add a few tablespoons of dirt, and around the edge we place the stones of the dark color ... as we go up the levels we are adding earth in the center so that the plants have enough space to feed.
Then we transplanted the plants, in my case I used some that I found in my garden ... and we sprayed it with a little water (my recommendation is to get a spray to spray it, since it is a glass container, it is not easy for the pot perspire ... and you know that if we pour too much water on it, the little plants will drown.)
Llegó la hora de rellenar el envase... primero echamos unas cucharadas de tierra, y en todo el borde le colocamos las piedras del color oscuro... a medida que vamos subiendo los niveles le vamos agregando tierra en el centro para que las plantas tengan suficiente espacio para alimentarse.
Luego trasplantamos las plantas, en mi caso utilicé unas que encontré en mi jardín... y le rociamos con un poco de agua (mi recomendación es conseguir un spray para rociarla, ya que es un envase de cristal, no es fácil para la maceta transpirar... y ya sabes que si le echamos demasiada agua se nos ahogan las plantitas.)
