I haven’t read the study but I doubt anyone ever got cancer from eating bacon once or twice. And probably not many got it from eating bacon once a week. I eat too much sugar, but instead of cutting anything out of my diet 100%, I’ve just cut it to 30%
Everything in moderation is a good rule. I drink the odd beer and whisky. I gave up meat for various reasons and don't really miss it.

Sometimes there are many ... depends on how much rain and how cold it gets ... but usually there are some gallant holdouts into January, and some stalwart early comers in February... if it is warm, there will be a winter rebloom, too!

Everything here will make some attempt at a rebloom in winter, but plum trees routinely bloom in February, and irises, a bit confused by the usual mildness of autumn, will bloom from December all the way through May if there is no run of violent weather. Daisies will also bloom through a mild winter. Blackberries are re-blooming now, so I will be able to eat them in January.
